19/02/2026: We had a great meal here with very welcoming staff. Nice atmosphere and soft music on in the background. The cordon bleu was fantastic but the crème brulé was absolutely brilliant. Very good selection of wines and nice draught beers.
04/02/2026: A weekly must-visit thanks to the warm welcome. The food is delicious and the atmosphere is friendly. Thank you to Soso, Maxime, and Flo for taking such good care of their customers and also… their dog!

15/02/2026: The staff were cold and unfriendly – they left us waiting 10 minutes at the entrance without even saying hello, took 15 minutes to take our order only for the food to arrive in 3 minutes but cold, and everything we asked seemed to annoy them. The dishes were very salty and the fish tasted frozen. What a shame!

I came on Sunday afternoon, June 15th, to buy two gifts at the store at 34 rue St. James.
I'm writing to you because I'm very skeptical... and very jaded...
When I went through the checkout,
I clearly stated that I needed two gift packages for two birthdays.
They showed me a nice pink and white package, which I paid for, but they had already charged me.
Then, oh no, finally, if it's for two different little girls, Okay, let's separate the gifts.
The first, a kind of transparent white envelope... the saleswoman apologizes, okay.
The second is a mug in a square package. She takes out a brown envelope, puts the package inside—which is too big for the envelope—cuts off the top, and puts a sticker inside. I'm perplexed... I honestly allow myself to say to her:
"Well, it's average, it's for a little girl's birthday,
it doesn't look very birthday-like
and the package...is a bit ugly, you know"...(without malice, with a little smile, tilting her head a little to the side and inviting her to think, that kind of attitude)
At that, she, very offended,
tells me that I'm mean, that it's not nice at all of me...that she's going to the extra trouble to make me this package and that she doesn't have to do it...
(No kidding???
Should I have gone into raptures???)
And insisting several times, without listening to me, that I don't want to give it like that, nor in front of other mothers. At one point, I got annoyed when the young lady retorted that, and I quote:
"Generally, people come to us, buy a gift, then go to h**a to buy some gifts and make their own."
At that point, her colleague arrived and took over, which I thought was great.
But she decided to side with her without listening to me either.
Tired, I asked for a refund.
In the end, they gave me the lovely gift I'd originally given.
I left with my children, with a very annoyed "Have a nice Sunday," which says it all... plus comments behind my back as I left...
Very unpleasant. Frankly, I was furious.
My message to the manager, and perhaps to these two people who didn't understand where they worked.
It's a suggestion... You can do what you want with it:
When you're a store like yours, with the name you want to forge,
a strong and recognizable identity,
based on sharp and stylish choices:
YES, people expect to receive a gift package from your store, and in the image of your store.
The mindset of your customers who take the trouble to come to your store, on a side street off the main roads, is this:
I didn't buy a gift in a hurry somewhere else between two errands while buying milk and laundry detergent.
I took the time for these little girls, to go to the right place,
to look for gifts for them, personalized, with a beautiful package that I'll be happy to give them.
Through this gift, we show that we didn't go to any ordinary store.
And we pay a little more than elsewhere for that. Also:
That we go to a local store, not a chain store.
But above all, when we pay a premium price for an item that's "above the price" at your store, YES we expect to be listened to and well received with a well-packaged item.
As for the young lady, it would be good to avoid the comments and go to the competitor's store if I'm there...and to be honest with myself.
I came to your store to be received with care. There you go, I really wanted to explain to you the impact of such a sale.
I took the time to write you this message.
I'm giving it one star for this mishap.
The store itself is worth 5 stars.
But despite everything, after this experience, it gives:

12/02/2026: Half-empty milkshakes every time, 10 minutes to take an order that's ready (the woman looks at the bag but doesn't send it, lazy?), no ice, manager avoiding customers waiting for an employee at the counter, crew member not putting salt on the fries... the list goes on. When are you going to wake up???
and force us to leave a good review.
