30/03/2026: This Sunday, I once again had a wonderful meal and a fantastic time at this Turkish restaurant on Rue des Faussets, where we had already had lunch for my son's 20th birthday a few years ago. The decor sets the mood perfectly, and the dishes are varied. You can choose from several set menus, or order à la carte with a selection of appetizers, main courses, and desserts. The eggplant caviar and hummus are excellent, as are the kebabs and the moussaka. A special mention goes to the owner, who provides attentive and engaging service, even singing us a little Byzantine tune while accompanying himself on the saz (a type of traditional guitar). In short, a truly excellent culinary and personal experience. I'll definitely be back. Highly recommended.

11/01/2025: Ensemble correct. Le prix fort n’est pas du tout justifié nous ne serions pas venus sans cette réduction. La viande rouge n’était pas tendre du tout, difficile à couper. Les cuissons saignantes pas respectées. Les desserts étaient bons. Le service agréable mais relativement lent sans doute pas lié au service. Bref, mérite de se perfectionner.

27/02/2026: It was delicious. It's really good quality. It's nothing like the sushi you get at fast food restaurants or supermarkets. Here, the rice is perfectly vinegared, and you can really taste the fresh ingredients. I recommend it if you want to eat real, high-quality sushi 🍱

09/04/2026: What can I say… I spent many Thursday evenings sitting on the terrace of L’Auguste over the past three years with my friends. The drinks menu was fantastic (including great homemade cocktails, sometimes even original creations), the servers (when there were still some) were excellent, and the atmosphere was great too. We understand that it's difficult for all bars and restaurants these days, but frankly, the drinks menu has become incredibly disappointing, the service is painfully slow, which is understandable given the staff shortage, but frankly, it's unpleasant. Furthermore, they now have live music on Thursday nights. Horrible. Mediocre music and incredibly loud; both inside and outside, it's impossible to have a conversation. Currently, it's a constant cacophony of haphazard transitions that are ear-splitting. You have to do what you have to do to attract customers, but frankly… It's very disappointing. The place has lost all its charm, and I think that was the last time I'll ever set foot in it. However, a positive point is that the staff are always friendly. That's about the only good thing about the place right now. Thanks for the great evenings, Auguste, but that's clearly a thing of the past…

16/03/2026: We tried Puy Paulin one evening during a weekend. The welcome was warm and we immediately felt at ease. The dining room is clean and the atmosphere is relaxed. The food was good and served without too much of a wait. A simple and pleasant experience, perfect for dinner after a day of exploring the city.

03/02/2026: The muesli yogurt had a strange taste. The service was very unpleasant when we tried to mention it. We were assured it was normal, despite an undisclosed change of supplier. The yogurt we tasted in the store was different from the one served. Very disappointing.

Admittedly, the location is good (and certainly explains why it hasn't already closed down), the service is friendly (although very busy, which is to be expected when the restaurant is the size of an aircraft carrier). I was alone, due to my job and traveling schedule. Too lazy to look around, I settled for the first restaurant near the train station. That was my mistake. For a starter? Egg mayonnaise. It's not that complicated, I didn't ask for an ortolan on a bed of caviar. But no, they somehow managed to mess it up: a smear of mayonnaise and a very sad-looking salad. The main course? Andouillette sausage, my guilty pleasure. I've devoured tons of andouillette here and there. But here, it was a cold, translucent casing with practically raw meat. I was on the verge of throwing up. Honestly, are you hungry? Are you exhausted? Whatever the reason, never eat at this rip-off place, which, by the way, cost me 30 bucks. At that price, it's literally a business that's taking the piss.

22/04/2026: It's a tourist trap; they're not even remotely nice. They force you to pay before you even eat or drink, and especially the waitress—avoid asking her for anything because my phone battery died. I really needed it for my train ticket and hotel address, but she pretended to charge it, so I was left for an hour without a charge because I didn't give her a very low tip. Avoid it!

02/03/2026: A very warm welcome and a delicious meal. We ordered four raclettes and had plenty to eat. We even took home the unfinished charcuterie. The quality of both the charcuterie and the cheese was beyond question.

26/12/2025: I booked a room at this establishment for Christmas Eve to avoid driving. Room #2, on the first floor, cost €50. What a nightmare. I only spent 30 minutes there before having to leave and take a taxi home (at nighttime rates). The mattress and sheets were infested with bedbugs, they were moving everywhere, and I have bites all over my body, as confirmed by a medical report. The room was in a deplorable, unsanitary, and completely unacceptable state. I immediately contacted the establishment to report this situation. The only response I received was: "Thank you for letting us know." When I asked for a refund for the night I obviously didn't spend there, they replied: "It's too late, you've already paid." A total lack of professionalism and respect for the customer. This establishment should be avoided at all costs. For €50, it's likely to cost them much more than expected.
