07/02/2026: Absolutely terrible. Takes over an hour and a half to deliver and doesn't care at all. Given the number of Japanese restaurants out there, choose another one.

22/01/2026: I ordered for the first time, but I didn't find the quality very good! The rice was overcooked. It was like rice mash. The skewers were very salty. The coleslaw was bland. And the sushi/maki were much too sweet (probably due to the rice seasoning).

30/01/2026: The meat is still excellent, perfect for satisfying a big appetite. Not far from the water's edge, ideal for a nice, relaxing day out.

20/01/2026: Bad experience. The waitress spilled our coffee and, without much apology, came back with a "café gourmand" (a selection of small desserts). We were convinced it was a gesture of goodwill... But on the bill, it was clearly listed as a "café gourmand," so it was more expensive... And on top of that, there were two extra dishes we hadn't ordered... If we hadn't checked, it would have been almost 30 euros more... The staff wasn't very friendly, which is a shame because the meal itself was good.

04/02/2026: Dined with others. Good food, menu in English. Very helpful with gluten free options. Baked egg and fois gras delicious. Loved the ginger beer.

17/01/2026: It's 8:00 PM on a Friday evening in Bordeaux. The shops are packed, we haven't made a reservation, and we're wandering the streets. We arrive at L'Ombrière, the terrace is full, but there's no one inside... what to make of that? There are only two of us, so we decide to go in. And we weren't disappointed; the champagne served by the glass is chilled and very pleasant on the palate. The wines served by the glass are generously poured and also good. The dishes we ordered are served quickly; no complaints about either the quality or the quantity (Landes salad and cod); the same goes for the desserts. The waiter is friendly, and the bill is very reasonable. A minor point about the music, a little loud for our taste, but I'm really nitpicking here. I highly recommend it.

05/03/2026: Very disappointed. Of course, we weren't expecting miracles, but even the bare minimum wasn't there. They forgot to bring sparkling water. I complained. They brought water, but not sparkling. No paper napkins. Cold fries. The sandwich wasn't any better. You have a monopoly and high demand, so why bother satisfying the customer and the staff who work there? They were demotivated and therefore unfriendly.

05/03/2026: Connecting today at Bordeaux Saint Jean. We stopped at your Mac. A disaster: ordering at the kiosk. Very slow service. A drink was missing from our tray. Nuggets were barely lukewarm, as were the fries. Sparkling water in a 40cl cup was flat. All this for a high price. Unmotivated staff. Out of anger, I didn't clear the tray. Ladies and Gentlemen Managers, I await your response, if you truly respect your customers... And certainly not a canned reply like you give to recent negative reviews. 30/10/2025: The place is very pretty, it's a shame the image is misleading. The welcome was terrible, as if we weren't welcome. The price is high for the quality of the galette. The meal was tasteless and soulless. Avoid at all costs.

07/01/2026: Overall pretty average food, well presented but not something I would recommend. Before coming I read all the negative reviews and was shocked to see how the restaurant manager answers to them with such huge disrespect. Just for that, the level of this place went down before I even tried it. If you are unable to take criticism and instead respond with hate, then don’t go into a hospitality business. The level of disrespect towards past clients is truly astonishing.

20/11/2024: The breads are very good but the pastries are not so good.

03/11/2024: I won't come back. We bought different sweets on Friday morning and they were all from the previous day. Very dry and soft.

01/02/2026: One of the worst restaurants I've ever been to. I didn't eat for fear of getting sick. The freezer opened about ten times, and we waited 45 minutes to be served. The only man in the kitchen and front of house prepares online orders as if by some unrealistic prediction. I couldn't eat; the restaurant is filthy, and there's an unpleasant man hiding behind his cash register because he knows he's selling garbage. Run away...

07/07/2025: Bland tartare for €19. A mushy, flavorless meat. I didn't know capers could be so bland. I tried my friends' sirloin steak. I'm not a butcher, but it seemed tough to chew and cut, and definitely underseasoned... Industrial salad and sauce from a sachet. On the other hand, the service was fast (the kitchen mustn't be putting too much thought into it, in my opinion). In short, really give it a miss; it's expensive and unpleasant if you like food. The fries were good and the restaurant was well decorated; it generally did the job of a McDonald's. (Sorry for the mid-meal photos, but it wasn't any more appetizing than when the actual dish arrived.)

07/07/2025: Beware, trap! They deliberately place a Badoit at each table. Since we didn't order it, we naturally assumed it was free. We only drank half. What a surprise when, when it came time to pay, we were told we had to pay €6 for a bottle of sparkling water. It's shameful.

07/02/2026: Since when do they stop selling Happy Meals just because it's past 11 PM? And people who are just a little hungry are forced to pay for a drink, small fries, and a small burger separately, making it much, much more expensive?! It's a disgrace. We pay to eat in and are practically thrown out of the restaurant as soon as we receive our order... What's more, the items we ordered with loyalty points are missing, which are obviously not noted on the receipt printed at the kiosk, but what's worse, they're deducted from my loyalty points balance (it wouldn't be any fun otherwise!). And the disgusting state of the toilets? Don't even get me started! Order 4321 of 06/02/2026.
