06/09/2024: Simply divine!!! Very close to the hotel. A delicious gastronomic experience!! I chose the suggested menu with salad and jamon and a main course with octopus and potatoes. Delicious dessert. It is worth remembering that it is not open on Saturdays and Sundays.

22/09/2024: A dear friend of mine had highly recommended Le Bar à Vin. We attempted to go there twice. The first time, we thought they were closed because the corner looked like an entrance, and it was closed. I'd say that I'm not too with it, but the second time we went, the same thing happened to someone else. They really should have a sign pointing to the entrance, which is pretty nondescript. So, we finally make it in and there are two people ahead of us and the venue is not full. It took us over 40 minutes to get seated, by then, the line just continued to grow. There were only two ladies waiting on the entire venue. There was a lady at a counter for shipping wine orders and another man, maybe the manager, walking around from time to time. Without a doubt, they were understaffed, but honestly, if no one is buying or shipping wine and you're the manager, pitch in!! Our waitress was nice enough and shocked when we only stayed for one tasting. Clearly, it's a place where people go to linger, but it definitely, at least that day, is unable to accommodate its clientele. A bid disappointment especially since there are many other such venues to relax and enjoy in Bordeaux!

16/09/2024: We had high hopes for this cheese and wine tasting, especially after queuing for 20 minutes just to get in. The wait gave the impression we were in for something special, but unfortunately, it was quite the opposite. The main seating area looks charming enough, but we were led to what can only be described as a drab, old-school canteen setup. The chairs were incredibly uncomfortable, making it hard to settle in for what should have been a relaxing experience. Things went from bad to worse when we ordered. We were told they had run out of every cheese except goat’s cheese—which was ridiculous, given it was only 6:30pm and, more importantly, we were in France, the home of great cheese! How can a place hosting cheese tastings run out of cheese so early in the evening? To make matters worse, the wine menu didn’t offer any guidance on pairings. While our waitress was friendly and tried her best, it wasn’t enough to salvage the experience. The whole thing felt underwhelming and far from what we’d expected. To top it off, they served nutty bread without checking for allergies, which seemed careless, especially in this day and age. Overall, this tasting was absolutely not worth the visit. Save your time and money for somewhere more deserving.

06/08/2024: Excellent subdued atmosphere in this cocktail bar where the bartenders are very attentive to the customers. A very nice cocktail menu and suggestions based on tastes, all done to perfection. The boards and tapas are excellent.

23/07/2024: delicious cocktail... beautiful venue... friendly barman... correct price... if you happen to be in Bordeaux, take a step further along the Garonne (city side) and go to this place... the bathrooms are also very nice ... to come back if it happens!

25/09/2024: A friend of mine said if I could get a reservation here while in bordeaux, I should, because it's sublime. He wasn't wrong. From start to finish, we thoroughly enjoyed the ride. Each dish's ingredients were explained to us, where they came from, why they were in the dish, and how it was prepared. Every dish was a star. The wine pairings were perfect. So now I'm passing it along. If you get the chance to go, you should. It's sublime.

30/08/2024: Very nice food and a relaxed atmosphere. It’s run by a couple that give very attentive service. As it’s just the two of them sometimes they are busy with other tables and you have to wait a little but that is ok. Extensive wine list focusing mostly on Italian wine but with French and more adventurous wines from as far as Georgia. Very nice food but be prepared for a very fish focused menu and some very cleaver dishes

28/05/2024: Had two really good dinners here. The prix fixe menu was very good value. Enjoyed the fish and the chocolate dessert. Good wine too. Staff very pleasant.

30/07/2024: They could really use something to dampen the sound made by the doors. Prepare to be awakened by slamming doors in the hallway in the morning.

28/10/2024: Au service les lasagnes ne sont pas très appétissantes et au goût effectivement pas cuites (molles sans croûte et baignent dans une béchamel tiède) Il est 12h donc c’est calme. Mais bon on etait là avec un verre de vin on les a mangé en partie!! 2x 18€ la part = Indigeste 2 fois..
