18/01/2026: This is the second time I've been extremely disappointed with the quality of the food! My pad thai must have been sitting there since at least the day before! Everything was dry and completely tasteless! We ordered €65 for three people; it's unacceptable to eat such poor-quality food at that price! I won't be ordering again and I don't recommend it!

22/07/2026: Warning! Fraudulent practices!
We ate here with two small children and wanted a large schnitzel with fries for them to share. We adults each ordered a flan, and each of us four ordered a drink. The bill included an additional charge of €16 (4 x €4) for "couvert" (cover charge), which we didn't understand! They explained, incomprehensibly, that we had to pay this because we had shared the food between the four of us. We explained that this wasn't true – the children had shared the food. That would perhaps justify an additional "couvert." We had already paid for one plate, so why four additional plates instead of three? We had two more plates with the flan, so why the extra plates at all? They didn't give us a clear explanation, they didn't mention it when we said the children were sharing, and they weren't accommodating. They claimed it was listed on the menu, digitally! (see attachment)
Please put up small signs warning of this strange practice. It has definitely spoiled our desire to visit Bastia!
14/07/2026: We wanted to spend some time here before the ferry and have a few beers. After one, we tried to pay quickly! The emphasis is on "tried." No waiter seemed to care about us, even though only two other tables were occupied. Furthermore, the service was very unfriendly and dismissed us with just two words. What a shame! We would have gladly spent more money there.

07/07/2026: We spontaneously decided to eat here after a hike. The roast and potato gratin were excellent. We were there with a toddler, and they made her a delicious crepe with cheese and ham. There were also toy ducks in the fountain for our daughter to play with.
Overall, a very charming family-run business. The roast and gratin were prepared by the owner's grandmother. Since it's primarily a bar, the food selection is limited. If that doesn't bother you, it's the perfect place to enjoy a delicious, home-style meal.
17/06/2026: Excellent service. Generous portions. The breaded veal escalope was very good.
A fantastic young waiter.

06/06/2026: I'm very disappointed. I took my son to the hairdresser, Aurélie, who doesn't know how to cut hair. I'm sorry, but she left it long with a huge cowlick.
The last time I had Gabriela and it was perfect. This time was a huge disappointment.

24/06/2026: I don't even know where to start. Actually, we might come back, but I hate the system that doesn't clean, that towels are changed for a fee. The apartment wasn't 100% clean and its couch deserved a new one, don't be angry, but we had to buy a blanket and put it over the couch. Everywhere you could hear from the staff that they don't speak English, so what could they do since they work in tourism. Free pool at the apartment, but for a fee by the sea. The beach was extra dirty but the sea and water were beautiful. Watch out for the road, cars go there like crazy.

11/08/2026: The welcome was rather cold but professional overall. However, a nasty surprise came at the time of payment: no credit card accepted, and I only had my digital card on my phone. I had to make a trip to get a check… in 2026, almost 2027, right in the middle of the tourist season… anyway. I was told it was clearly indicated upon entering; indeed, there was a small sign, the size of a postcard, on the window. And to top it all off, I had to leave my gifts as collateral for a while… An experience I won't be repeating.

15/05/2026: Despite a pleasant location, the service was truly subpar. The staff were cold, unfriendly, and even unpleasant in their responses.
We felt like we were bothering them. The service was slow even though the establishment wasn't particularly crowded, and the lack of attention to customers clearly spoiled our experience. The overall atmosphere suffered greatly from the unwelcoming reception and obvious lack of customer service.

04/10/2025: Pizza in a pizzeria. You'd expect a better oven. Unfortunately, there's only an electric one. The pizza was correspondingly soggy. It might have just barely gotten four stars. But a large beer (0.5l) for €10? You can get one cheaper at Oktoberfest. And that's saying something! Bottom line: Next time I'll eat somewhere else.
20/08/2025: A breathtaking experience. (Humor) What a horror! The restaurant wasn't air-conditioned, the service was appalling. We were told there would be an hour's wait for a pizza, and in the end, we decided to order something else, but it was the same thing. Thirty-five minutes for a tomato and mozzarella pizza, the same for a burger. Absolutely no organization.

02/11/2025: A disgrace. The manager is awful, speaks rudely to customers, and thinks he's above everyone else. A €15 ice cream that wasn't even worth €3—unheard of! No sense of service, no politeness whatsoever. You almost feel like you're bothering them when you pay. Avoid at all costs.

To make it clearer, I'm a local.
After I'd paid everything, the owner asked me to vote for Marine Le Pen or Bardella, even though I was with my husband, who is North African. He'd just been speaking to Bardella, so it was obvious he was North African, and visually there was no mistaking it.
It's outrageous! When you're a business owner, you keep your political opinions to yourself. At the very least, stand by them and don't take money from foreigners.
Luckily, we had a wonderful stay and were incredibly well received by the people of Balagne, because otherwise, what a deplorable impression you would have left us of this beautiful region.

Qualité des mets et services irréprochable, les serveurs très sympa . Le cadre agréable nous y retournerons.
