17/03/2026: We've been coming here for 40 years, and this time, when it came time to pay, they shoved the credit card terminal in our faces with the waiter heavily pressuring us to leave a tip. And what did we dare do? Not tip! The result? The atmosphere became awful. Great. Basically, here at L'Irish Coffee, the waiter's smile costs money. For us, that's it, we're going somewhere else. We're not in the USA; tipping isn't mandatory. Pathetic!

23/02/2026: The 3.4 rating is really unfair. The food is good and healthy. It's a bit pricey, but that's the going rate in Chamonix.

05/04/2026: Review of Le National A very bad experience. We had requested a table inside, but we were seated along a window, right next to a storage area for the terrace: stacked chairs, staff bicycles… In short, a frankly unpleasant “view,” especially considering we were in the heart of Chamonix, where most restaurants offer a much more pleasant setting. The menus were in a deplorable state: damaged, worn, with a completely deteriorated imitation leather cover. Inside, the menus had photos, which gave a cheap impression. We ordered a royal fondue with charcuterie, a must-try specialty here. The result: no flavor, a bland fondue, and uninteresting charcuterie. Only the potatoes were decent… which says it all. The service was just as disorganized: no fewer than four different waiters came to our table, without any coordination. And this despite the restaurant not being particularly full. A lot of fuss for a very mediocre result. In conclusion: an establishment that clearly prioritizes its tourist location over quality. Avoid it.

24/03/2026: I had an absolutely perfect time. I chose a savory waffle and French toast, and everything was delicious. The savory waffle was original and perfectly balanced, and the French toast… a real winner! The staff is welcoming and friendly. You immediately feel at ease. The atmosphere is warm, with excellent rapport between the staff and customers, which makes the experience even more enjoyable. I highly recommend it for a successful brunch with friends or family. I will definitely be back!

17/03/2026: I do not really understand all the bad reviews. The food was great and the staff were friendly. Surely, it is expensive but all places in the slopes are. If you enjoy French dishes (tartiflette etc) and a beautiful view then this place is great!

19/03/2026: Absolutely terrible service. I waited 1 hour and 15 minutes for a coffee, and when I raised the issue, the waitress responded rudely by saying that if I didn’t want to wait, I should have brought coffee from home. That is not how customers should be spoken to under any circumstances. Poor service is one thing, but rudeness and disrespect make it much worse.

26/03/2026: I had a 4 formages pizza. I can say that I have had this pizza many times in other places, but this is one of the best I have had. We also had pancakes and because of them I understand the low rating. I was very (overwhelmingly) satisfied with the pizza. That's why 5 stars.

24/03/2026: The service was terrible; the waiter was very arrogant. We ordered small beers, but they brought us large ones and pretended not to notice when we told him that wasn't what we ordered. The food was very ordinary; we ordered lasagna, pasta, and salad. The taste and quality were awful. It's the worst restaurant we visited in Chamonix. Please don't support them.

28/01/2026: The meal was decent, though not excellent, but the prices were exorbitant, especially for a self-service restaurant. Other restaurants at higher altitudes will be cheaper, better, and offer proper table service.
