22/06/2026: Pros - Friendly, efficient English-speaking staff - Views from the rooms and spa were incredible - Excellent range of options at the breakfast buffet and opened at 06.30 so eat then get out for the day early - Able to use facilities of hotel on day of checkout. We were kindly allowed to use the spa and hotel showers on the afternoon after we had checked out at no additional cost. This meant we were able to run all day and freshen up before heading to the airport. A really nice touch as meant you could maximise time in Chamonix rather than wait for flight home. - Toiletries in the room were good quality (not overstocked so environmental friendly) and able to ask for items free if charge from reception - Great location close to town centre and short walk to bus stops/train station Cons - Mattress was very firm so found it quite uncomfortable (personal preference though) - No aircon: stayed in June and the room was uncomfortably hot to sleep and the road outside was a bit too noisy to leave the windows open overnight to cool things down. It was exceptionally hot weather however so likely a very occasional issue. - Limited hooks in the bedroom for coats etc - Drinks in the hotel bar were expensive - EUR12 for a 1664 Krongenbourg beer. Despite a few small cons, this hotel was absolutely fantastic and I wouldn't hesitate to stay again.

22/06/2026: The entire staff (especially Reception) are absolutely FANTASTIC 🎉. Amazingly helpful, knowledgeable and willing to offer guidance. Beautiful views, great location! 5+++ stars. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

08/09/2026: We came yesterday for a drink, the view was superb. However, the blonde waitress was incredibly rude and didn't smile at all. It was a real turn-off; I won't be back, and it was very expensive for cans of soda.

06/08/2026: We've been coming here regularly for almost 25 years now, and for the first time, we left without dinner… After 45 minutes of nothing, we took the liberty of asking about our order, to which we were told that we had apparently agreed together that we had cancelled it… We were really keen to introduce our friends to this place. We'll still come back, though, because we know that tonight's service didn't reflect the usual high quality.

06/10/2026: The pastries are delicious, especially the chocolate ones, and the employee told me they're all halal, God willing. The coffee isn't the best, though. I recommend trying it; the place is really nice.

14/09/2026: Lovely Italian restaurant with fresh and flavorful food. The pasta, gnocchi, pizza, and burrata salad were all delicious and beautifully presented. The staff were also very kind and gave us the white sauce spaghetti for free, which was a lovely gesture. Cozy atmosphere, friendly service, and authentic dishes , definitely worth visiting again.

06/06/2026: They were very nice. We‘ve ordered a sandwich and it was spicy- they‘ve apologised and gave us a non-pocy one instead together with a small sweet gift. I‘ve appreciated their customer service. The quice, sandwich, desserts were really tasty.

07/03/2026: A solid lower-cost, unpretentious option with all the amenities and basic things you would need to support a great ski trip in Chamonix. The bus stops steps from the hotel taking you to all the surrounding ski resorts and downtown chamonix for transfer to the airport or the bus to Italy, Valle Blanche, etc. The staff are great and make sure you have everything you need, and are willing to keep your ski bags, boots, gear, etc stored in the boot room downstairs while you wait for your next travel plans. There is WiFi that works well from the room and from the lounge downstairs if you need to hop on work calls and get work done. I had no connection issues. Les Praz is a good location (and closer) to the resorts up the valley such as Le Flegere, Grands Montets, and Le Tour. 20 minute walk to downtown Chamonix on a lovely river-side path.

11/09/2026: Excellent private restaurant and hotel located in the mountains. A beautiful view awaits you when you get here at sunset. There are special off menu items for guests staying at the hotel. The main menu is a well curated collection of wine and french staples.

30/08/2026: Surprise Brunch for Two A wonderful discovery: this brunch with a barbecue and spa. The food was high quality, and the portions were generous. The service was excellent, and the servers were very attentive. The view was magnificent, and the atmosphere was very peaceful. The pool, jacuzzi, and hammam were very nice. We had a superb time together. Next time, we'll try the restaurant and the massages. I highly recommend this place.

27/05/2026: Restaurant review: Excellent service, friendly and professional waiters. The quality-price ratio is very good. I recommend choosing the set menu as it includes a starter, main course, dessert, water, and bread. P.S.: The French toast is delicious.

13/08/2026: Food was ok but nothing special. The service was kind but a little bit too slow. The view to Mont Blanc from the terrace is fantastic.

06/08/2026: The service was lovely and very attentive, the food was excellent and beautifully presented... and what can I say about the view! Kudos to this sheepfold for not taking the easy route and serving mediocre food compensated for by the exceptional location.

29/09/2026: A truly disheartening experience today in this cafeteria, where the problem ultimately doesn't stem from the altitude… but clearly from the attitude. A special mention goes to the two older men present, who seem to have plenty of energy for making a lot of noise, but far less for projecting a positive image of the establishment. Between their inappropriate remarks about certain customers, their mocking comments when they think people don't understand French, and their generally unpleasant demeanor, the scene was quite appalling. The most disturbing aspect was their behavior towards a younger employee, with demeaning remarks made openly in front of customers. I work in retail myself, and I know perfectly well that sometimes things need to be addressed internally. But precisely: these things are dealt with internally, not in front of customers. It's simply a matter of respect and professionalism. And since we're on the subject of professionalism, upon arriving around 12:00/12:10, we were also treated to the pleasure of seeing these same people calmly seated with a dish that wasn't on the menu. Probably a staff meal, which doesn't bother me in itself. However, starting your meal just as the lunchtime rush begins, when customers are arriving, is a highly questionable approach. In most restaurants, you eat before or after service. Clearly, here, the rules seem to be different. All this in a cafeteria where the prices are far from negligible. At these prices, one can legitimately expect more than inappropriate remarks, disdain for certain customers, an employee belittled in front of everyone, and staff who give the impression of having forgotten they work in a public establishment. Years of experience should normally bring professionalism and exemplary conduct. Today, unfortunately, I've seen the opposite. A very bad image is projected by some members of staff. And when you work in retail, you know that a customer can forget a mediocre dish… but they generally don't forget being treated poorly.
