The welcome is very good, the location too, in the heart of the center, the food nothing to say, the same for the service, very pleasant with Elise our waitress and then the must are the generous quantities especially for the menus which are generally reduced but then not at all and prices more than reasonable. Well done, we don't understand the bad reviews. Absolutely worth testing

13/09/2024: An excellent coffee shop! Offers a wide range of coffees! I would highly recommend the V60 if you are a coffee lover! They have an excellent choice of cakes including gluten free ones!!The cafe offers indoor and outdoor seating. The cafe is situated within a coffee shop which offers coffee machines etc abc everything else needed to do with coffee and tea making. They sell local coffee beans and offer a service where they will grind the beans for you to take home if needed. Highly recommend this place!!

29/08/2024: This morning, while waiting for a coffee in front of the counter, the Barista, smiling and welcoming like a prison guard, drops the metal filter into the trash can and puts it back on the support as if nothing had happened, I point out to her that she could rinse it, she replies that it's not for my coffee!! Really? I am reassured! When you have the ambition to prepare drinks in front of customers, you have to be irreproachable in terms of hygiene, reception and presentation, that's how it is! You have seen me, you will never see me again..... I threw the coffee in the 1st trash that came along. Сегодня утром, в ожидании кофе перед стойкой, бариста, улыбаясь и приветствуя, как тюремный охранник, опускает металлический фильтр в мусорное ведро и ставит его обратно на опору, как ни в чем не бывало, я указываю ей, что она могла бы его промыть, она отвечает, что это не для моего кофе!! Действительно? Я успокоен! Когда у вас есть амбиции готовить напитки перед клиентами, вы должны быть безукоризненны с точки зрения гигиены, приема и подачи, вот как это бывает! Ты видел меня, ты никогда больше не увидишь..... Я выбросил кофе в 1-е попавшееся мусорное ведро.

20/09/2024: Had margarita and buffala pizzas. Both were excellent. Service was very quick and friendly service. Would highly recommend.

14/09/2024: Very popular place despite being tucked away in a corner of the Cocktail Scandinave entrance to the Alpina gallery. Slick and friendly service. Good food. More cafeteria than restaurant but I like that. Points lost as could not take cards today. They should have had a back up in place. Even the traders in the Chamonix Saturday market take them so there is really no excuse.

30/09/2024: I recently stayed at this hotel and I must say that the overall experience was very positive. First of all, location is one of its great assets. Nestled in a strategic location, the hotel offers a breathtaking view of the surrounding area and Mont Blanc, which brings a feeling of relaxation and tranquility as soon as you enter the room. Moreover, the room itself is a real success. Very spacious, it offers all the comfort one could hope for. The design is neat, modern, and the atmosphere is very pleasant to live in. The equipment provided is also of high quality, making the stay even more pleasant. It’s a place where you quickly feel at ease, and where you enjoy spending time. Special mention to the bedding, remarkably comfortable, perfect for restful nights. However, a few small details could still be improved to make the experience perfect. Nothing dramatic, but perhaps the soundproofing of the rooms could be reviewed. It is sometimes possible to hear noises coming from the street, which may disturb those who are light sleepers. Additionally, even if the service was friendly, a little more responsiveness or attention to detail would be welcome during busy times. In conclusion, this hotel offers an exceptional setting and undeniable comfort. Despite some adjustments that could make it even more pleasant, the experience remains very satisfactory, and I without hesitation recommend this establishment for a relaxing and pleasant stay.

08/09/2024: Worth a stop for a beer if you can get an outdoor table facing Mont Blanc on a nice day. It’ll be a bit frothy with the altitude but still a nice place for a drink. Staff are friendly too.

08/09/2024: Lunch at 2500m altitude, excellent ravioli with porcini mushrooms and cheese. Unrivaled view and very pleasant service. At the top!

16/09/2024: We went one evening in August for our last evening and we had a great evening alongside Angus the singer who we loved! The service was great and we had a great time! We will come back!

01/09/2024: A great little vibe with good food and delicious cocktails! Although we were there too early for the kitchen to be open, the bartender was helpful in advising us when the chef would be in and ready for cooking. He was able to tell me of different foods to suit my allergen and I wasn’t disappointed. Great experience!

09/09/2024: Had dinner here (also staying at the hotel) at the start of autumn right after their crazy summer period, and had a good time. The food was excellent and there was a free flow of bread and butter (the bread was really good too). Service was great as well (possibly because it was quiet and there must've been one wait staff per table). In general, hotel restaurants tend to be more expensive, but not these guys. Prices were competitive (or similar) vs all the restaurants in chamonix. That being said, nothing in chamonix is particularly cheap. Finally the live music performances that came on were entertaining to watch as well, lending to a pleasant atmosphere.

29/09/2024: We had coffee Saturday morning at La Potinière. The service was friendly and the place pleasant. We had two coffees, each costing €3.50. It's a bit excessive for a simple cafe, but maybe that's due to the touristy location. We also observed a customer ordering a fondue around midday. What surprised us was that during service, the handle for stirring the fondue was left in the fondue pot at the customer's house. In Switzerland, it's not done like that, but it was interesting to discover another way of doing things. A fun little cultural difference to observe.

26/09/2024: We stopped in for a late lunch early dinner on a rainy afternoon in Chamonix. I was attracted to the Menu du Marche, which consisted of Salade, Duck Confit and Tiramasu for 16 Euro! The food was delicious and we received fabulous service as we watched the rain. It was a great way to end our visit to Chamonix, which had turned on overcast but lovely weather until then rain.

26/01/2025: I have insanely high standards when it comes to food. I grew up in a family of restauranteurs in the UK (my mum even won awards for hers) and I was impressed by the food here. So much so, we went twice. I’m totally confused by all the bad reviews, and probably this indicates that Le Dahu suffered a bad patch a couple of years ago, which can happen - to us all! The main thing is they have more than bounced back! The wine was great too and the champagne was super light and subtly fizzy. The service was very high standard too.

25/01/2025: Un lieu très beau et accueillant. Le personnel était très agréable nous avons passé un très bon moment. On a très bien mangé , les glaces maison étaient excellentes . Merci
