12/09/2024: 31 août 2024 au déjeuner : quelle est cette fantaisie à perdre son temps en demandant les prénoms de chaque personne, une nouveauté non encore expérimentée, inutile dont nous nous serions bien dispensés car, cela n'apporte rien à la qualité du menu, inexistante. Beaucoup de blabla & de perte de temps, pour nous expliquer comment son buffet fonctionne (comme si nous ne connaissions pas ce genre de pratique). Les explications : "fait par moi", "pas fait par moi" ne rassure pas spécialement, principalement lorsque l'on est allés se servir au buffet : l'hygiène laisse plus qu'à désirer !!!!! aucune protection, ni fermeture pour éviter d'éventuelles projections ou autres mouches, insectes venir s'y déposer. Tout est dans la discussion, le concret est tout autre, la qualité, la présentation des ingrédients ne sont pas à la hauteur des prix pratiqués. A EVITER A TOUT PRIX, NE SURTOUT PAS S'ARRETER A L'ESCALE GOURMANDE, nom très ronflant n'ayant RIEN DE GOURMAND. LES SERVICES D'HYGIENE SONT-ILS VENIR Y FAIRE UN TOUR ?

06/09/2024: Excellent accueil ! Mention spéciale pour le filet de sole avec crabe, agrémenté d'une excellente sauce. Poulet-frites au top ! Très bon rapport qualité-prix, en tenant compte des buffets entrées et desserts à volonté.

The chef and the waiter who cleared our plates noticed and recognized (so much was visible to the naked eye) that the pieces of tendon meat which filled our plates and constituted Almost all of what we were served was inedible. So obviously we didn't eat them and our plates left with them. Why add bad faith, to the poor quality, to the gesture of irritation and to the almost absence of compensation for the fact that we were not able to eat our meat? With a little more kindness and business sense this could have passed for an accident... My first opinion: 2 days ago (end of August 2024) A very bad address. Really to avoid. The only dish of the day was a Limousin beef spider. We ask for it rare. Response from the waiter: "That's not possible. We've already prepared a lot of it." Not being able to choose how it's cooked. It started very badly! Our meat prepared in advance and reheated therefore arrives after a certain time, strangely cut into pieces, pinkish, without the slightest blood, soaking in an inappropriate sauce. Impossible to cut it. Only plasters of hard. Only 2-3 tasteless mouthfuls were able to be saved. Why serve these pieces of inedible meat in the country of meat, when we had suspicions about the quality of its meat, as the chef honestly admitted to us. All this doesn't happen anywhere else. They offered to exchange it for a sausage and a free coffee. Is this fair? We had come to taste a good piece of rare Limousin beef, not sausages! The boss, who was very unfriendly, curiously replied that we shouldn't make such a big deal as it was just a dead animal. What connection???? He turned on his heel very angry. For the rest: very coarse chorizo ​​flan and heavy, very sweet crumble on very rare fruits. Really nothing to save in this meal.

24/07/2024: Être en vadrouille pour le travail, apercevoir une enseigne au pied de l’église. S’approcher. Découvrir une carte courte et un menu du jour… et se régaler. Avec une terrine et des grillons maison, un sauté de bœuf à la tomate, riz créole (sans faute sur le moelleux et les cuisson) finir en beauté sur un crumble aux pommes à la fois fondant (les pommes) et légèrement croustillant. 11/08/2024: C'est la 2° fois que nous mangeons au Saint-Laurent à Saint-Laurent-sur-gorre. ABSOLUMENT FANTASTIQUE : plats délicieux, service top, personnel et patrons extrêmement sympathiques. Nous étions un peu blasés envers les restaurants car c'est toujours la même chose......Au Saint-Laurent, tous les plats sont originaux (à prendre en photo) et SURTOUT, TOUT a du goût. Si je pouvais, je mettrais 20/20. Des fois, on va chercher à Limoges ou à Saint -Junien, alors que nous avons la chance d'avoir cet EXCELLENT restaurant chez nous ! 👍😋😍😄
