07/08/2026: I loved it from beginning to end! Everything was in excellent taste: the warm welcome, the divine dishes, and the wonderful atmosphere. The open kitchen offered a glimpse of a busy and focused chef. What a lovely evening we had as a family! My only slight complaint is that the owner wasn't there, but her spirit was definitely with us... So, a huge thank you! We'll gladly be back!

Their solution: Come pick up the dressing. Wait in line! If I use delivery, it's because I can't go out.
Especially since it's my first time ordering.

14/09/2026: Always a warm welcome, pleasant staff, and quick service for those in a hurry. The meals are good quality and there's a good selection. The roadside restaurant has a very good reputation, and you can see for yourself by stopping there to confirm what you've seen on TV. Every time I go to the south and it's on my route, I stop for a meal. Personally, my father always spoke highly of it, ever since the late 1960s. And now I'm the one recommending this restaurant.

The home-style cooking is excellent, with a set menu (starter, main course, and dessert) for €16 and a children's/teenagers' menu for €13. We all thoroughly enjoyed our meal! The staff was incredibly attentive, always making sure we had everything we needed. Plus, the service was very quick, which is ideal for a break between sightseeing. A huge thank you for your hospitality; we will definitely be back!
06/08/2026: We were turned away by the manager who barked at us, "Not for another 20 minutes," even though there were plenty of empty seats. They might be overwhelmed, short-staffed, etc., but that's no excuse for being rude.

Homemade with local products, "as much as possible," whether it's the lunch menu or the evening burgers and pizzas, only good ingredients and impeccable cooking.
I recommend it 200%, don't hesitate to come and eat there.

Highly recommended! The chef at Au fil de la Benaize is very welcoming, and the service is as excellent as the flavors offered on each menu.
Don't hesitate to book a table for lunch on weekdays to enjoy a delicious and convivial lunch to share, either inside or under the pergola. You won't be disappointed!

Indeed, having arrived around 5:30 pm, after ignoring us for a good 25 minutes, a smiling waitress asked us to leave, claiming the tables needed to be set for the evening.
This wouldn't be so bad, as we're not the first to experience this disappointment. Personally, I'm ashamed to have recommended this establishment to guests staying at my gîtes throughout the season.
I'm saddened that such behavior is possible in our region, which is constantly striving for a positive image, an image so crucial to our economy.

17/05/2026: An excellent stay at this hotel and restaurant; highly recommended! Very quiet, a short drive over to Argenton. Accessible parking. The room was simple and modest size, but clean and fresh, w little courtyard w table and chairs behind and parking right in front, and renovated bathroom. Very good restaurant!! Friendly helpful staff and management. And the best breakfast on this 4 night trip!! Fresh orange juice, good bread and cheese, and delicious "real " croissants, not those nasty little things now often found at hotel buffet breakfasts.
25/04/2026: A lovely place to stop on your way south. A friendly, family atmosphere. The room was perfectly adequate. There was a swimming pool and jacuzzi (although the jacuzzi was closed).
A very warm welcome and an excellent evening meal. It alone is worth the trip. Good breakfast.
