24/08/2025: We were staying at the château and had booked a table for seven, including two children. There was no children's menu available, only a hamburger for €11.80 without a drink or dessert... no effort on the part of the owner. The tablecloth had a hole in it, and the cleanliness left much to be desired. The à la carte prices were very high.
We decided to leave. Therefore, we won't comment on the food.

It's an authentic place, the menu is excellent, and the crisp vegetables are served on vintage plates.
Only three managers in its 120 years of existence: a remarkable longevity!
The current managers are leaving at the end of September... hurry and go!!

26/05/2024: Très bon rapport qualité prix. J'ai pris des rognons, qui étaient délicieux. Il y a du choix, autant en entrées (buffet) qu'en plats. L'accueil est sympa également. C'était un samedi midi, il y avait manifestement peu de routiers, mais pas mal de touristes ou gens du coin.

30/08/2024: Excellent experience as a couple or family. The concept of Chinese fondue is surprising and everyone dips their food and eats at their own pace. The flavors are well presented and you can eat very generously.
The cocktails are also very well made and a treat for the taste buds.
I recommend without hesitation but don't forget to book and if you can opt for the 2nd service otherwise you might feel pressed for time (but I reassure you the waiters do not put pressure)

09/11/2024: Best discovery in Saumur. Everything is delicious, you can go there with your eyes closed. The waitress who replaces the usual waiter is adorable, it was a pleasure to share a little moment in this restaurant. And thank you very much to the chef who found solutions to my allergy.
