19/09/2024: Nice place on the Bayonne riverfront. I really appreciate restaurants with fixed price menus even in the evening and in this case the proposal was really high quality, with just the right portions to happily get to dessert!

17/09/2024: My family and I stopped here for dinner and we had really high hopes, the reviews online looked really good and we were excited to try traditional local food. We started with the fois gras, and I went to the bathroom to wash my hands however by the time I came back the waiter was already back taking our main entree meals. I wasn’t ready to order so I told him that I needed an extra second to decide and to come back however he said that the kitchen was closing and that he couldn’t come back. Normally I would understand but it was 45 minutes before their official closing time and I felt super pressured which led me to order a burger because it was the first thing I saw. On top of this the same waiter continuously checked his watch and was incredibly eager to go home. I would understand if we were the last customers in the restaurant but it was still more than half full at this time and other tables hadn’t even ordered yet. The fois gras wasn’t too bad however the waiter didn’t tell us how small the portion size was, which made it hard to share between all of us. My family ordered the menu with an entree, main course and dessert. The entrees we received tasted okay at best, however the portion sizes were downsized compared to the rest of the menu which I felt was pretty predatory but nevertheless understandable considering the difference in price. Regardless I was more hopeful for the main courses however I was quickly disappointed by my burger which was incredibly dry, and as seen in one of the pictures the sauce and caramelized onions were all bunched up in one spot of the burger leaving most of it dry and flavorless and one bite of it incredibly overpowering. The bread was super dry and irritated the roof of my mouth which was very unappealing. Additionally the fries were way overcooked and I felt like I almost broke my teeth while eating them. The salad was once again okay at best because it was frankly flavorless and their “vinaigrette” was just mayonnaise. The fish that my sister had ordered had absolutely no flavor, the sauce that was left over wasn’t even worth scooping up with bread. I was happy that the chef accommodated my other sister, who is vegetarian, and let us change out the main course with a vegetarian option. She got the truffle mushroom ravioli which was the only good tasting thing we had that night, so maybe the chef should stick to vegetarian dishes. Another thing that irked me a lot was that towards the end of our meal, when the waiter started putting the chairs up they put the feet of the chairs directly on the table top (as seen in the pictures). Not only is this probably a health violation but it’s simply disgusting who would want to eat on the same table where the feet of the chairs stay?! I’m not sure if we got unlucky or came too close to closing, but I would definitely not recommend this place if you come within 3 hours of closing or you have a very high chance of getting rushed out. I also wouldn’t recommend being the first in the restaurant because I doubt they clean the tables after taking the dirty chair feet off of them.

27/03/2024: Simply the best Basque cherry cake I have eaten!! And I tested a lot… no, really a lot. Go there with your eyes closed!!!

20/01/2026: The place is beautiful, and the dishes are very elaborate and reasonably priced. We had a wonderful dinner.

05/12/2025: In my opinion, it's a charming place, especially the ceilings and the bathroom, which is outdoors. The hot chocolate, similar to Cola Cao, costs over €8... excessive for the quantity and flavor. I wouldn't return, not because of the price, but because of the quantity and taste.

12/12/2025: Industrial sushi made with wasabi-infused packets, really not great. If you like sushi, go somewhere else.

20/09/2024: Holidays from September 11 to 18, 2024. Tuesday September 17, small local restaurant for lunch. Strawberry diabolo for €4. Menu for €30 including fresh shrimp with chili mayonnaise, veal axoa (pronounced achoa) and chili crème brûlée. Very good. Too bad the shrimp have to be peeled. Mayonnaise and crème brûlée with particularly excellent chilli.

11/12/2025: The hotel is well-located and easily accessible. Excellent value for money. The staff were very welcoming, both at the hotel and in the restaurant. I would kindly suggest to the chef that they remove the apple tart from the menu. The pastry was half-cooked and the apples were burnt, but they did offer a goodwill gesture at the checkout. Overall, a very positive experience. I recommend it for a short stay.

08/12/2025: Very limited selection and not great quality; I had a stomach ache shortly after leaving the restaurant. Furthermore, the prices online were not the same as in the restaurant.
