There are themed evenings every month with fantastic hosts and delicious homemade food. There's also a huge selection of games for a relaxing afternoon at Le Menteur ☺️ In short, a good time is guaranteed at any hour!

23/06/2026: Le Menteur in Bayonne is a real gem. The place is simply incredible, with a unique atmosphere that immediately puts you at ease. The prices are very reasonable, almost a steal for the quality offered. The food is delicious, and the drinks are incredibly creative—a special mention for the ginger beer, probably the best I've ever tasted. I've played several games of Werewolf there, and the atmosphere is always fantastic: immersive, fun, and incredibly well-run. The game master is truly excellent and knows exactly how to create the right energy. And a major highlight: Mélissa, who runs everything with talent and good humor. You can feel the real passion behind the project. In short, a place you want to come back to again and again.

22/06/2026: We came with friends on a Friday evening. We started as a small group of four, then eight, then ten, and so on. In short, the kind of evening we love at the beginning of summer. The welcome at this restaurant was superb. The charcuterie boards were generous, the ham croquettes excellent, and what can I say about the service? The waiter was delightful, always with a joke. The service was quick, and the value for money was exceptional!

20/05/2026: A very good experience. I've known them for years and they're always an excellent choice. In addition to the à la carte menu, they have a set menu that's very convenient and the quality is superb.

26/04/2026: We couldn't even get in for a drink because of the bouncer's attitude. He was arrogant and unpleasant; did the guy think he was a bouncer in Saint-Tropez? And the best part is, he's not even from the area… for a bar frequented only by locals, it's quite funny… I only advise against going there because of the bouncer's attitude.

25/06/2026: Don't be fooled by the entrance... The service is incredibly friendly, the menu is small, but that means everything is fresh, and we tasted it! The chef makes everything with love and the flavors are top-notch! Go eat there without a doubt; there are other restaurants on the same street, but as I saw, they don't offer this quality, and certainly not the same friendliness!

To elaborate, I can tell you that we were particularly disappointed by the lack of coordination in the dining room service. My opinion remains, of course, subjective, like all customer reviews, but it was written sincerely and honestly.

18/05/2026: A superb experience at Goxoki. The restaurant immediately adapted to the dietary restrictions of a pregnant woman and was incredibly attentive throughout the entire service. We were there for lunch, and the menu was absolutely delicious.

02/07/2026: I would recommend this place for a sweet treat with a view over the cathedral. The basque cheesecake was well done, less cheesy than some, more on the sweet side, but very pleasant! The cherry basque cake was very good. They also have a good variety of coffee, though I must say that the soy milk they used was not the best. The service was a bit slow, but not excessively so.

13/05/2026: We discovered this place thanks to the cabaret: La LunaNegra! This brasserie is really lovely! In a setting reminiscent of old-fashioned bistros, you'll enjoy high-quality dishes! It's absolutely delicious! The staff is friendly. The best part: it's in the heart of old Bayonne! A place to remember.

25/04/2026: An excellent restaurant that stands out, especially during the Ham Festival in Bayonne. Discovered by chance, the dishes were delicious. The son runs the dining room and his father is in the kitchen. Authentic French cuisine, flavorful and generous. I highly recommend it and I will definitely be back. Thank you, it was a real pleasure to have a beautifully set table and dine in such a calm and pleasant setting.

13/07/2026: Good location, but a 30-minute wait (arrived at 10:20 PM). The waiter saw us, turned around, and when we asked another waiter, he refused to take our order because it wasn't his "role." They all blamed each other. When we finally managed to order (10:50 PM), we were told the kitchen was closed, so no tapas. We ordered a platter instead, with defrosted bread that tasted like it came from Lidl. After a 30-minute wait, I expected at least fresh bread. That said, it was very good, all things considered.

21/05/2026: A long-established chocolate shop in Bayonne. I had hot chocolate at the café on the second floor. They poured the chocolate from a magnificent pot, and refills were available. The opulent interior, the music playing from what seemed like an antique radio—it was like stepping back in time.
