26/10/2026: The fries tasted strange...you wonder when the oil was last changed. The caramel in the sundae was nonexistent (maybe a ghost). In short...not great.

24/10/2026: Unfriendly staff! Constant mistakes with orders... the toy was forgotten in the Happy Meal AGAIN!!! And to top it all off, the Blue Lock menu didn't match the order. I don't know if they're deliberately trying to provide such poor service, but something's definitely up. Now, if the staff are volunteers, then it all makes sense, and I would understand such a high number of mistakes.

26/10/2026: We had coffee inside. I asked for the table to be cleaned. The server didn't appreciate my request. The table was dirty. Tables aren't cleaned between customers. What a shame.

12/10/2026: The saleswomen spent their time ranting about the store, completely unfocused on the customers. An elderly woman couldn't open the toilet door, and the saleswoman brushed her off, saying she'd given her the code but that the rest of the situation wasn't her concern, too busy chatting with her colleague about the previous day's sales figures. It gives a bad impression.

02/11/2026: We came for lunch on Saturday around 1 p.m. We were greeted by a pleasant waitress and placed our order after 10 minutes: two galettes (savory buckwheat crepes). Forty-five minutes later, and still without our food, we decided to leave. The manager expressed her annoyance and demanded that I pay for the two uneaten dishes, claiming it was a complete loss, which I flatly refused to do. I told her I would only pay for the drinks we had. I even apologized for having to leave, but the service was far too slow! A 45-minute wait without any prior warning is simply unacceptable. As for the manager's behavior, it was deplorable and completely unprofessional. I'm not rating the food since we didn't taste it, but only the manager's behavior, who I think should take a course in customer service.

31/10/2026: Upon arrival, I was greeted by someone whose tone and language were rather informal. She didn't seem inclined to welcome me or offer me a seat. Manon L and Hamza then took over and ensured the rest of my experience. I would like to emphasize their positive attitude and welcoming nature, which helped to compensate for this particularly unpleasant first encounter. Thank you to Manon for her impeccable and warm service. The food was excellent, served in 5 minutes.

15/09/2026: Discovered during a business meeting over drinks. Warm welcome, good atmosphere, reasonable price.

08/09/2026: Extremely unpleasant, I came for a simple coffee at 9:00 am, I went to the bar to ask if I could sit down and was told to get lost with "sit down, I don't have time" in an unpleasant tone...

19/09/2026: On Saturday evening, after being turned away from several fully booked restaurants, despair was setting in. Hey, Pépé seemed to have some availability, so we rushed in and sat down. The unit of time was half an hour. One half hour for taking the order, another for the drinks to arrive, and a third for the food. To cut a long story short, no dessert. And was the quality of the food worth this temporal anomaly? Not really, alas. The pasta was severely under-seasoned and the pizzas suffered from meager toppings. The staff wasn't unpleasant and apologized for the wait. True enough, but with the quality lacking, only disappointment remained.

02/06/2026: I came yesterday (Monday) for a smoothie; it was perfect in this heat! The service, like the smoothie itself, was excellent. They gave me time to choose without any pressure, and there was a wide selection of ingredients (for both milkshakes and smoothies) and products, both hot and cold! It was served quickly in a large glass. I couldn't resist tasting it before taking the picture! Even though there weren't many customers, the atmosphere was still pleasant, and the decor was great. You can sit inside in armchairs or chairs, as well as on high stools, or sit outside or in the vestibule. I came back the next day (Tuesday) to try the crepes and milkshakes. The service was the same, they gave me time to choose, and while it was busier this time, the service was still just as fast! The crepe was delicious and generously smothered in Nutella. The plate was slightly damaged, probably due to wear and tear, which I didn't particularly like, but it didn't stop me from devouring my crepe! The milkshake was good; I had the banana and white chocolate version. Perhaps it was the combination that didn't quite work for me, but I preferred yesterday's smoothie! The music wasn't too loud, but it was perfect for working while enjoying a treat. There was also Wi-Fi available. I'll definitely be back! (Probably tomorrow!) :) I highly recommend it!

20/09/2026: Brazilian marketing with just the name and that's it, just a Brazilian option and nothing more. Truly disrespectful and a scam.

14/08/2026: Great little bar with a Brazilian vibe, the service is very friendly and the guacamole is excellent. It could use a bit more rum in the cocktail, but it's a nice bar.

06/05/2026: I came with my son during a motorcycle road trip where we stopped in Rouen. We found this restaurant by chance. It was very good, they were very attentive, and the atmosphere was nice 😊 I recommend it!

03/10/2026: An excellent place that we particularly appreciate. We always receive a very warm welcome from a friendly, helpful, and attentive team. The food is delicious, from appetizers to desserts, with a special mention for the bartender's incomparable Spritz! This establishment is a sure bet for a great time!

03/10/2026: A wonderful spot for lunch… but also simply for enjoying a drink on the terrace! Café de l’Échiquier has everything we love about a good brasserie: a warm and welcoming atmosphere, attentive staff, a menu varied enough to please everyone, and daily specials that keep things fresh. The terrace is also very pleasant when the weather is nice and makes you want to linger, even outside of mealtimes. A friendly place where you eat well, receive a warm welcome, and simply want to come back.

04/01/2026: We reserved a Too Good To Go basket for Sunday, January 4th, between 3 pm and 4 pm. We arrived at 3:20 pm and discovered that the restaurant had permanently closed. The announcement for the basket was posted online yesterday morning. How is it possible to scam us like this when the restaurant has been closed for several days?! This is a huge scam! We are extremely angry and want a refund!

05/10/2026: Very disappointing. It was my first time there, and I wasn't expecting this. When we were seated, we hadn't anticipated that the rooftop had a limited number of tables with a view, so we ended up overlooking the people who did. When several tables left, giving us the opportunity to enjoy the rooftop, another table without a view asked to be moved. The servers who seated them placed them right in front of us, even though other tables with a view that wouldn't have been in anyone's way could have been offered. The welcome was generally quite good, but the service was disorganized. Despite the server's best efforts, it wasn't a success. We weren't asked if we wanted an aperitif, and the wine (a €160 bottle) arrived after the meal had already begun. Instead of a carafe of water, we were given a bottle of mineral water, without being informed of the price. When we ordered, we were told that it was possible to order à la carte, but once again, no prices were listed and the waiter seemed unsure of himself. This sense of doubt persisted throughout the entire meal. We then placed our order. Immediately afterward, the amuse-bouche arrived. Five to ten minutes later, the waiter returned to inform us that the only vegetarian dish was no longer available because they had sold out. We changed our order, much to our disappointment, because if we had known, we wouldn't have ordered the full menu. No other vegetarian options were offered. We were still waiting for the wine, which finally arrived at the same time as the appetizer. When it came time for the appetizers, the waiter came back to ask us again what we had ordered for our main course, and if it was indeed the fish (spoiler alert: we hadn't ordered the fish). We figured the meal was going to be a long one. We were served quickly for the rest of the meal, with the waiter still in sight, looking a bit lost, but overall it was fine for the remainder of the meal. As for the food, everything we ate was good, even if it lacked a certain something. I particularly enjoyed the green lentils with coconut and the passion fruit flan. Everything else was well-prepared, but with a distinct chef's touch. Therefore, I found the menu expensive, especially since I left with a slight sense of disappointment and a little voice in my head telling me I probably wouldn't be back.
