04/07/2026: A village atmosphere, a unique bistro, cool and inviting under the pergola. A peaceful, timeless retreat. But above all, it's a wonderful encounter with the owner/cook. If you're charging your car at the Avallon supercharger...don't hesitate, skip the Ibis and come here!

17/09/2026: A delicious meal. The chef certainly knows their flavours and is not afraid to be inventive. We chose the aubergine caviar followed by the vegetable tagine and the tartare de boeuf. All very tasty. The creme brulee was a nice dessert to finish off. The Mas a Tierra, a light, refreshing natural red wine accompanied all the courses beautifully. Service was first class and the price very reasonable. A booking is advised, especially for the outside dining areas, but we were inside which actually worked well as we were away from the heat and humidity outside. We can certainly recommend Cantina.

13/09/2026: It's very good. However, letting in a dirty person without proper attire is something I don't understand. This individual ultimately committed a petty theft... No respect whatsoever for the superb work done in the kitchen and dining room.

Everything is in place to ensure you have a wonderful time and want to return, all at a reasonable price considering the quality. A minor drawback is the desserts, which, while tasty and artfully presented, are either understated or appear disproportionate in dishes that are too large... too simple...

26/08/2026: The hotel is well-located and easily accessible. The welcome was very professional, even for a late arrival. The restaurant is pleasant, with the gentleman in the kitchen and the lady serving. The menu is refined and original, with helpful advice on wine pairings and excellent service. The only drawback was the 140cm bed.

22/08/2026: Impeccable staff and service at an affordable price. As a disabled person, they met all my needs. Breakfast is served in the restaurant, which is separate and accessible without steps or stairs, and includes a mini buffet on trays. Highly recommended.

20/05/2026: My partner and I went there last night. We live 5km away, and I had never been before. Based on some of the reviews, I went with mixed feelings. But what better way to form your own opinion than to eat there? We received a very warm welcome. The two young men serving that evening were great. The dishes were very good, not particularly generous at first glance, but I certainly didn't leave hungry...far from it. For the price: reasonable for a restaurant with a nice ambiance. I've eaten in much more ordinary restaurants, both in terms of food and decor, and paid more. So don't rely on other people's reviews, whether positive or negative...go and form your own opinion...like I did.

My only regret is having walked past it so many times without stopping in before. The price is reasonable considering the quality and generous portions. 23/08/2026: The welcome was a bit lacking, we felt like we were bothering them, no ice cubes for the aperitifs, no peanuts or anything else, the andouillette burger was just the bread and the andouillette without salad or tomatoes inside.

03/08/2026: A truly wonderful experience at this establishment, where the chef cooks exclusively with plant-based cream, which is rare but a real treat for those with lactose intolerance. This was the case for my daughter, who was able to enjoy her meal without any fear of feeling unwell.

02/08/2026: I highly recommend this restaurant after visiting the flea market in Aillant-sur-Thollon. Located in Charny, just 30 minutes from Aillant, it's a wonderful discovery, peaceful and away from the hustle and bustle. The food is excellent, the welcome is warm, and the owners are very pleasant. It offers great value for money, and as a bonus, there's a traditional market on Sundays.
