23/06/2026: We ate at this restaurant whilst staying in Noyers. The service, atmosphere of the place is very good. The food is very flavourful. However, we ordered a beef steak to share for 2 people, and there was no denying it was delicious, but the price of it was not made clear at the point of ordering. We were charged a lot more than we thought. So, to be clear for future patrons, a clear pricing list must and should be made available to avoid dissatisfaction at the time of settling the bill.

15/06/2026: During our stroll through Noyers (a magnificent village), we were instantly charmed by this establishment. Despite our late arrival, we were greeted with a smile and shown into a beautiful garden... We suddenly felt like we were on vacation! The menu isn't exhaustive, but it was a delight to discover the offerings, all prepared with impeccable skill, a feast for both the eyes and the palate! The service was incredibly pleasant, with the entire team providing a warm and friendly atmosphere. If you're looking for a place to eat well and receive excellent service, you've come to the right place! We (Parisians and newcomers to Burgundy) will be happy to return.

04/06/2026: The food was tasty, but unfortunately too cold overall. The cucumber appetizer was very garlicky, so the flavor dominated the entire evening, which was a real shame. There was always a vegetarian option and also a non-alcoholic aperitif.

16/05/2026: We went out for dinner tonight. The meat was tough, the potato croquettes were soggy inside. And the dessert was awful. I highly recommend going out of your way to avoid it.

17/05/2026: Excellent meal from start to finish, with a perfectly executed soufflé and impeccable service. A restaurant with an old-fashioned charm, just the way I like it. If you're passing through, a stop is a must.

15/07/2026: Here's a great spot in Auxerre to enjoy delicious, fresh, homemade dishes. They're a real discovery in terms of taste. Like the green gazpacho with its lemon mousse, a refreshing creation. Worth trying if it's still on the menu. We also had snails as a starter (typical in this region), followed by a casserole of andouillette sausage au gratin with Époisses cheese (a local cheese), and then beefsteak tomato carpaccio. Very fresh. For dessert, the poached nectarine was another lovely discovery. All this in a relaxing and pleasant setting, especially with the misting fans on the terrace. The service was friendly and efficient. The owner, who is also the chef, isn't afraid to leave his stove to help with service. Be careful not to go through the wrong door. Don't take the one for the brasserie next door. Make sure you go through the small gate. Otherwise, you won't be eating anything that's actually homemade. Thank you for your table.

24/05/2026: We were a group of 15 on a Saturday night, and our table was set up right in front of the kitchen. A pleasant atmosphere, smooth service, and simple but delicious dishes. Special mention to Alexandre, who was incredibly patient with all of us 😅 The restaurant was recommended by a colleague who didn't usually take such large groups, which is a good sign of quality! In short, I highly recommend it!

19/06/2026: The owner, who also waits tables, is a lovely person. Very chatty and friendly. It's also nice to be able to eat even after 2 pm. The food is perfectly decent, though not exceptional.

07/06/2026: An exceptional experience, simple yet delicious cuisine—everything you could ask for. I ordered the flank steak with Époisses sauce and I wasn't disappointed. The portion was generous, the meat tender (sourced from a local butcher), and cooked perfectly, just as I'd requested—rare. The owner, Jean-Luc, creates a wonderful atmosphere, which is exactly what we love about this kind of establishment: people who are happy doing what they do. 13/06/2026: Couscous restaurants have almost all become mediocre, with poor-quality meat and broth that's almost always too greasy. Le Cercle is an exception. A delight: quality and freshness! An exception not only in Auxerre and the Yonne region, but also nationally. For example, despite my extensive experience, I couldn't name a single North African restaurant in Paris or the Île-de-France region in general that's as good as Le Cercle. Warm welcome and fast service to boot. Bravo!

17/05/2026: We were spending the weekend in Auxerre and stumbled upon this great place. We thoroughly enjoyed the merguez couscous, and the staff's friendliness was a real bonus. We highly recommend it!

08/03/2026: Every year after skiing, this has become a must-visit for our family! Amazing crepes, inventive creations, but also a super friendly welcome, quick service (with special attention to the little ones), and an eclectic, quirky, and cozy decor that always manages to brighten our day :-)
