Please, stop making pizzas with porcini mushrooms if you want to offer frozen products!

29/06/2024: We chose the Etoile d'Urcay for our wedding, and we were not disappointed, on the contrary.
All the dishes were refined and delicious, our guests were very complimentary about the entire meal.
In addition, the manager couple (and cook) were adorable and listened to us throughout the preparation.
They were great architects of the success of our marriage.
P.S: thanks also to their waitresses, always smiling and caring for each guest

We've done them all, and he's clearly above the rest.
I'm a pizza chef myself and I'm pretty easy to criticize on the subject...but the point is that you're very lucky in Saint Pourcain!!!
Friendly welcome, good quality product, the dough is excellent...a sure value!!!!

la qualité des plats, la présentation, la quantité....tout y est..tout le personnel est agréable....je recommande vivement.
un grand Bravo .
27/08/2024: Repas en famille un dimanche midi. Nous avons été très bien accueillis. Repas excellent, nous étions 7 et chacun a trouvé de quoi ravir son palais de l’entrée au dessert. Je recommande vivement!

13/09/2024: Classy place, restaurant is excellent , and I think it's probably "Paris quality" for versatility, style/range of dishes, etc, and especially the cheese cart, wow. I really was a dining experience for me. If you can't make it far north enough for Paris by all means try the restaurant here, even if you're not staying here. Room and neighborhood very quiet, no road noise at all, lots of ducks in the moat, a real medieval setting more or less. Also very helpful with some clothes washing.
03/08/2024: endroit sympathique, bonne cuisine raffinée, dans une cadre dans la nature très agréable de dîner dehors , très agréable service et un sommelier très compétable avec de bons conseils.

The welcome, the meal and the setting are perfect.
I will give an extra star for the waitress's explanations for cooking the meats and her kindness towards my little daughter.
Congratulations to both of you for the quality of service and meal.

15/09/2024: In an authentic setting (take the time to admire the 16th century parquet flooring) you will taste very good dishes prepared with care. In particular the deer mouse cooked at low temperature.
The welcome is very warm and friendly.
In short, we do not regret the detour we took to spend this great time.
We will not hesitate to come back....
And we came back in September...and still just as nice and delicious...so I'm giving it the 5th star and adding a photo.
Sauerkraut of the Sea...a real treat....really. And to finish, a delicious faitselle followed by a homemade fruit salad.... all this for 25 euros.....I say BRAVO

08/08/2024: My sister and I ate outside next to the parking lot on the terrace. It wasn't bad, except that there is a loose sewer grate which makes a hellish noise every time it passes. Do something because it could be dangerous for a child.

Nous sommes finalement servis rapidement avec des assiettes bien garnies.
Prix corrects, service agréable

14/09/2024: Après 25 minutes d attente sans prendre notre commande, le patron nous a mis dehors après lui avoir gentiment fait remarquer que nous attendions !! Tous les clients etaient stupéfaits de sa réaction. Serveuse inutile,nous la plaignons de travailler avec un tel caractériel !
