24/03/2024: Very good service, very good quality meat and excellent meal. I still give the rating 3 stars because the waiter at the start of the service offers us the badoit and the vittel without offering us the carafe of water, this to encourage us to consume paid water and when serving the other tables They offered carafes of water. I didn't find it very honest at the start of the service. The service and cuisine still remains of high quality.

23/03/2024: A very beautiful place, but it's probably the only decent thing here. First, the masala. I was served recooked shrimp! In fact I received tikka prawns, charred which were put back in the masala sauce! Unthinkable in a restaurant to have a fried dish put back in a sauce. But hey, it was the end of service, why not. Except that the sauce itself was just a simple can of tomato sauce without any vegetables or anything, not even a piece of onion or a poor pepper. A can in short. 😤. Frankly, I am of Indian origin and of all the restaurants I have visited, I have never received such a massacre at the masala. And then we must also specify that for the price of €20, which is already beyond the average price, all this for a poor service...., you are only entitled to a small bowl containing only 4 prawns. Without the rice, which is an extra charge of almost €6... For one person... 😑 And we only learned that at the checkout. Just that for white rice... Very disappointed overall, because the photos looked really superb. 😥 So be warned. I do not recommend this restaurant, there are much better elsewhere... 😬

26/03/2024: In an authentic setting (take the time to admire the 16th century parquet flooring) you will taste very good dishes prepared with care. In particular the deer mouse cooked at low temperature. The welcome is very warm and friendly. In short, we do not regret the detour we took to spend this great time. We will not hesitate to come back

03/03/2024: We had lunch this afternoon. The setting is magnificent, atypical. The waitress was smiling and pleasant (although embarrassed by our dissatisfaction.) There were positive points, but overall the disappointment was immense in terms of the cuisine and the cooking. Deer (mice which were not) very poorly prepared and cooked. (hard and really a millefeuille of nervous tissue noted by the waitress, the plate returned twice, the same thing twice.) Chocolate fondants that were absolutely not melty. The rest was OK, but as we say about a whole meal, it's not enough... The positive? The wine was very good but luckily at 40 euros a bottle. 🙃 The hostel owner made a gesture for the inconvenience!

07/01/2024: Practical and simple, complete card, good for watching sports broadcasts or cooling off near the Allier. The only downside is that I noticed several times that the cocktails were drowned in sugar, but otherwise it's still a place that I highly recommend!

30/09/2023: Quoique insuffisamment insonorisée, la chambre était confortable et la salle de bain très agréable. L'accueil était chaleureux et le personnel attentionné. Le restaurant propose un repas de bonne qualité et original. Le seul inconvénient, relatif mais réel, est l'éloignement du parking privé de l'hôtel, obligeant à décharger les bagages devant l'hôtel. Quoiqu'il en soit une belle étape notamment en raison de la grande qualité de l'accueil.

16/03/2024: On paper this experience could have been interesting given the setting, but the service is interminably long for a very simple dinner to prepare. The boss is only putting on a good face, that’s all. Heartbreaking culinary experience.

04/05/2024: What a nice surprise! We've been to a lot of Asian restaurants before but this one is definitely worth the detour. Service a little slow but excellent food! We were passing through but one day we will come back!

04/05/2024: On our way to vacation, we stopped for lunch. Very warm welcome, fast service and the food is excellent (Landaise salad, andouillette and steaks served with fries cooked in lard). Value for money more than adequate. Parking available to customers with disabled space. We will come back!

01/04/2024: This restaurant had accustomed us to much better... We paid more than €250 for 3 people (drinks and aperitifs included), to eat a tender fillet of beef... when you want to claim a certain standard, you have to serve impeccable meat. Prawn risotto good, but not exceptional... Dessert (souffle) rather ordinary.. A certain nonchalance from the manager when we reported our disappointment. All this to say that we will not be coming back again.

22/03/2024: Frankly unacceptable, the homemade aperitif is very good, the sweets too, the rest is decrepitude, my wife had a breaded fish, it was extremely salty and canteen level, a non-existent menu 2 starters. (soup or snails), 2 fish (no noble fish), meat (no beef), two desserts, no children's menu, price level is 1 Michelin star, except that there is no level, the baba au rhum is bread with sugar water, it adds pure rum in front of you instead of a rum syrup, the chocolate dessert has no finesse and it is very disgusting. And the bill... the best, the child's menu is at the price of the adult's, after my remark, the waiter adjusted the price. Personally go your way, there is much better in Vichy for less money too…

17/02/2024: Great hotel. Staff friendly and efficient with good English. Rooms clean, well-maintained. Food basic but good with large portions at reasonable price. No dedicated parking - so vehicles left on street in a relatively remote rural area. Location next to Canal de Berry ideal for cycling and walking.
