04/04/2026: A rather mixed experience. The food is decent if you don't forget part of your order, and ordering a salad where there's practically no lettuce is disappointing. Eating next to the door isn't very pleasant either, especially since it doesn't close automatically. Also, it's the first time our conversation has bothered other customers. Seriously, when is it that the enjoyment of a meal isn't appreciated?

10/04/2026: Yes, it's a small Casino, but it's well worth a visit! The staff are very friendly, and the entertainment is great too (Easter Monday). We had a lovely time. They have both modern and classic reel slots. Definitely worth checking out! 😁

04/05/2026: Passing through Cusset, we ordered the daily special. Veal chop, ratatouille, Norman apple tart, and a scoop of vanilla ice cream—very good! However, the veal chop was a bit overcooked, perhaps even reheated, and not very thick, which made it tough. The server was very good.

29/04/2026: Here you can enjoy excellent Salers or Aubrac beef, cooked to perfection and served with real fries and ratatouille. A very good selection of wines by the glass. A very warm welcome and excellent service. The price is quite reasonable for the quality. Terrace or indoor seating available.

10/10/2025: It's expensive for what it is! €42 for a starter, a main course, a syrup, and a coffee. The starter is nothing to complain about, but the beef fillet (a bit questionable) is hidden under a thick layer of onions and mushrooms. It's a shame, the kitchen doesn't seem to lack technique (as evidenced by the pretty carrot rose). The magnificent setting and acceptable service save the experience.

27/02/2026: Last-minute booking for an unexpected business trip about ten kilometers from the hotel. Very pleasantly surprised! Charming place, lovely room, excellent value for money. The owner is very welcoming, friendly, kind, helpful, and accommodating. And the restaurant: a gem! We ate (and drank) very well. The meal was delicious, from aperitif to dessert, beautifully presented, with very generous portions, all served quickly. I highly recommend it.

24/03/2026: An excellent gastronomic stop in the village of Chatel-Montagne. The person who greeted and served us was smiling and attentive, and the service was impeccable. The set menu for €17.50 was of very high quality. A varied menu in a restaurant well worth a visit.

03/05/2026: Impeccable service, a full breakfast, and a very friendly and attentive staff. The room was clean and well-appointed. The location was perfect, right in the heart of town opposite the church, allowing you to get around without a car throughout your stay. The spa was also very pleasant. We will definitely return! 24/04/2026: "This isn't a cafeteria," we were told this morning. "Ugh... what kind of comment is that? Did we really need to hear that when we knew nothing about their usual practices? It's not very nice to say that to us when I was pretty much ready to give them at least 4 stars, despite the cramped rooms and hallways." Furthermore, a point I'd like to make in return, and the reason for the two-star rating for service, is their lack of consideration for guests regarding the spa, for example, in terms of staff being available to accompany us. In short, a bit of a "figure it out yourselves" attitude, and perhaps too busy making gratuitous remarks to poor, defenseless customers. Not very nice at all. However, we're not sure we'll return, given the parking situation. I certainly don't want to get a measly little fine from them. Mr. or Ms. Inspector, I already pay my taxes and such, and I certainly don't want to be disturbed in the middle of the night by noise from outside. If I come to a hotel, it's to enjoy my vacation and sleep peacefully, so maybe it'll be fine. Okay, tell that to someone else...
