31/08/2025: Hello! We took a 25-kilometer bike ride to visit the pretty village of Naves. And of course, we stopped at La Sardine. The place is magnificent, with its well-shaded terrace overlooking the medieval streets of this pretty village. The waitress has a charming smile and made us feel very welcome. She explained the menu to us, pointing to the blackboards hanging on the wall. My wife and I were delighted. Our plates were served. And then, well, how can I put it, I completely disagree with the previous reviews. We were disappointed. First, the price. 16 euros for a small Cévennes platter… Three mixed sausages, a small piece of caillette, half a goat cheese… All that for 16 euros? I forgot that two tapas were included. But what if we want to add tapas? 7 euros each… It goes quickly… And the problem is that you can't order too much since credit cards aren't accepted. Cash and checks only. On the other hand, the citrus beer was perfect. Unfortunately, we didn't have the budget to try the ice creams, which looked very promising. Because when you're cycling or hiking, it's not often you leave with a lot of cash… Conclusion: the place is great, but expensive compared to the quantities offered. Accept credit cards. Sure, there will be bank fees. But you'll save so much…

20/09/2025: We met by chance during a romantic weekend at the Neyrac Spa. In a tiny village, a beautiful alleyway, and this restaurant whose chef welcomed us with his good humor and his accent that immediately immersed us in the Sardinian atmosphere. I never eat pasta at home (it's not my thing), but this... if I come back to the area, I'll definitely enjoy it again. A true delight. Arrabiata for me and pesto for my sweetheart. We had a wonderful time. I recommend it without hesitation.

08/09/2025: Spaghetti with prawns, freeze-dried garlic and parsley, not fresh, prawns with two heads and no tails, which looks like waste on the plate, not appetizing, wait for appetizers 1/2 hour, wait for main course 3/4 hour, terrace not pleasant, not clean. We tried it in the off-season and it was better. Second experience very disappointed, we will not be back.

25/03/2026: Delicious food at reasonable prices – despite the tiny portion of rice costing an extra €3. The waiter shuffled around the restaurant looking unmotivated when he wasn't at his computer. The ambiance wasn't very nice, and the plastic chairs were cold. But the food was good and hot – what more could you want?

15/01/2026: Lunch for two. The restaurant was soulless, not even heated to a comfortable temperature for customers, and the service was deplorable. There was absolutely no interaction with us (we were the only table). Our starter was a shrimp salad with no Asian dressing, just a plastic bottle of buttercup brandy placed directly on the table 🤔 – unheard of! The waiter was hiding behind the counter, not asking for coffee or a digestif after the meal, nor for the bill. He didn't even escort his customers to the door. In short, the service was on par with McDonald's. I do not recommend it.

12/04/2026: This isn't the first time we've had lunch at the Auberge de Banne. It's always a delight: tasty, flavorful, and generous dishes, a superb setting with a beautiful terrace. The wait can be a little long, but it's not unpleasant to wait in such a lovely setting (we take the opportunity to sample the local wine...). Certainly one of the best restaurants in the region.
