30/09/2025: I really enjoyed my stop at Au Café Français in Viviers. The terrace is charming, right at the entrance of town, with a lovely view of the cliff — the perfect spot to enjoy a glass of rosé and local dishes. The food was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. Service was handled by just two people, and the terrace was completely full, so the wait times for food and the check were a little longer. That said, it was worth the experience — you can feel the authentic, unhurried pace of French village dining. Highly recommend for anyone visiting Viviers by river cruise or passing through. - Michelle

The setting is pleasant, the terrace well-appointed and ideal for enjoying an al fresco meal. The dishes were simply delicious: fresh produce, well-cooked, and beautifully presented. A special mention goes to the daily special, perfectly seasoned and generously served. The service was smooth and professional, with thoughtful touches throughout the meal. We had a wonderful time at this restaurant, which we highly recommend. We will definitely return!

06/07/2025: We went there tonight, not many people. Good meal. But a 45-minute wait between the aperitif and the main course. Error on the main course (4 errors out of 5 tables) so we wait, the ordered dish arrives but not the cutlery and no waiter upstairs so another 10 minutes of waiting...we can finally eat. We ask for the bill and we are asked to go down to the counter and there are 8 people waiting to pay so we wait again. Finally it is our turn and when checking the bill, another error, we are charged for wine that we had not ordered. And of course NO EXCUSE. Run away!

30/12/2025: Simple, very good food, though a bit pricey! The toilets were outside and unheated (a bit of a problem with an elderly person). The staff were very friendly and attentive. The owner, however, was less than honest! After calling the day before to confirm they accepted ANCV holiday vouchers, they were refused at the time of payment! The reason given: they can only accept ANCV vouchers from 2026! I will not accept this bad faith, and I certainly won't be leaving!

26/01/2025: Good evening, I find it worrying to forget on very basic menus (Mc Smart) the main element is the SANDWICH, moreover we placed an order at the table which was never served to us despite I think the systems put in place to find the table. Following this our order was placed loosely on the counter (Hello HACCP standards). As a restaurant chain I find it absurd to end up with a fork instead of a spoon because I quote "we don't have one anymore". Inventory management seems to me to have been carried out. In short, what I remember is that you should train your staff more to prevent them from going around in circles and wasting valuable time in this area. I understand that I am in a fast-food restaurant but at the very least be careful about the HACCP standards which must be impeccable whether in the kitchen, the room or on its teams. Hoping for improvements. Sincerely

23/10/2025: We spent one night at the Tarnargue Hotel and Restaurant on October 14, 2025. Very disappointing welcome, mediocre and cold meal, and burnt dessert. The only welcoming person was Laurent. We will never return to the Tarnagne restaurant.

04/10/2025: Very disappointed by this establishment, which has remained in its original state: cobwebs, dilapidated bathroom, carpets in the room and stairs. The only good thing: good bedding. Evening meal was really mediocre. Breakfast: cold cuts were brought in spades.... This establishment needs a facelift! Poor value for money

21/09/2025: Reservation made for a birthday at the end of August. That evening, no meat was offered on the menu. The prices on the menu were exorbitant. The dining room was very noisy. My daughter had a plate of burnt fries with an undercooked hamburger. The food was really subpar.

30/08/2025: Meh....menu at €29, not even meat on the menu. So choice between chicken and fish for main course and salad for starter (goat cheese and country). At this price and given the choice between chicken and fish, you might as well cook at home and buy a good rib-eye steak.
