25/08/2024: We went to Mont Mezenc on 08/25/2024, however Surprise a big political head had decided to return that same day, result blocked by the Gendarmerie arriving at the top!! No indication below to warn people, tourists..... Contempt and lack of respect, it's true the gasoline is free and we're on vacation all year long to do this type 100klms return trip for nothing... Thank you, thank you, thank you very much!!

23/08/2024: Sunrise from Mont Mézenc On the advice of our hosts, we wanted to see this superb painting. Leaving Puy en Velay around 5:15 a.m., allow a 45-minute drive to arrive at the parking lot which is located at the start of the path for this short hike. The walk lasts about 45 minutes, well dressed, equipped with a headlamp, good shoes and a thermos of hot chocolate for the reward, we therefore advanced towards the summit of Mt. Once at the top, let the natural magic happen. The view is 360°, the moon in a dark sky on one side, the color of a rising sun on the other. This little walk is definitely worth it! After this experience, you can have lunch at Les Estables. We opted for various treats bought in the small bakery in the center, and a hot drink at the bar/restaurant near the tourist office. After a short rest period, we completed this visit with a visit to the summer sleds, which are a 10-minute walk away. (Opening at 10:30 a.m.) A busy morning that benefited the whole family! The smiles were there. Good discovery!

28/07/2024: Contrairement à de nombreux clients déçus de devoir faire la queue (et on les comprend) nous n'avons pas attendu pour être servies, normal, il était 11h30 ... du coup, que du bonheur, un peu cher payé, certes, mais bon. Mon amie a choisi des parfums "classiques" : plombières + riz au lait + Conseillée par la vendeuse, me suis laissée tentée par le trio sésame noir + sarrasin + monarde (fleur sauvage) : surprenant mais un vrai régal, de quoi redonner un coup de boost pour reprendre le vélo par cette chaleur ;-)

30/08/2024: Very nice little campsite with lots of shade. We stayed there for 1 week and were warmly welcomed by the managers. The sanitary facilities are well maintained. The tent sites are well demarcated and of all sizes, you can choose the one that suits you best and on some of them there are picnic tables. Possibility of playing mini-golf and eating lunch and dinner at the campsite snack bar (the fries and homemade pizzas are delicious). The campsite is 15 minutes from Lamastre where you can do your shopping. There is direct access to the river (the Doux) in which you can bathe and swim if you find the deeper corners. The rail bike and the Ardèche train are a few dozen meters from the campsite. Be careful not to sleep late because the train shows up from 9:30 a.m. until 8-9 p.m. The road is close but not very busy. The nights are calm and relaxing, we hear all kinds of animals. We recommend this campsite for a stay in Ardèche.

03/09/2024: A treat! In a very nice setting, we ate at Léon in 2020 and then recently in 2024. The dishes are succulent, well presented and garnished! The prices are very reasonable and we had a great time. Very pleasant waiter apart from one waitress who forgot us a little, the presence of the other waiter allowed us to feel pampered. I recommend and would come back! Small note however on the hygiene of the toilets... a more frequent passage should be made.

25/09/2024: Best pizza outside of Italy! Charcoal oven with fantastic service! Super nice service! Unfortunately too far away from the Ruhr area to be there more often! Prices absolutely reasonable!

09/08/2024: A very good time in this restaurant on the banks of the Ardèche where you can enjoy hearty dishes. Impeccable service and always with a smile. Every time we go to Balazuc we have lunch in this restaurant which I recommend.

13/09/2024: Watermelon starter not to our taste, but kindly exchanged with a terrine. Dish of the day well prepared and good. As for the service: we are still waiting for the bread. In short, an ordinary restaurant. Did we have a bad day?!? For dessert: Excellent floating island.

22/08/2024: We eat very good pizzas there. The place is quiet, on the edge of a river. Saint Cirgues in the mountains is a beautiful, lively village.
