05/07/2026: Hello, we only used the restaurant as we didn't need a room. Very warm welcome, lovely view from the pool and overlooking the small hill. Reasonable price.

17/06/2026: We had a wonderful stay. The welcome was very friendly. The rooms are pleasant, and the restaurant is excellent, serving high-quality food. We thank Ludovic for his kindness and professionalism. Furthermore, the swimming pool provided us with a welcome moment of relaxation. If we return to the area, we will definitely stay at this hotel again.

12/05/2026: This Michelin-starred hotel and restaurant is very well located on the road south. The enclosed and secure courtyard (included in the room price) for parking is a real plus. The rooms are classic and the bedding is of very good quality. The restaurant is pleasant with well-spaced tables. The service is a bit old-fashioned and traditional, but the meal, while also quite classic, is outstanding. We thoroughly enjoyed it.

11/05/2026: Back at Le Carré d'Aléthius after more than 12 years… and our love for it remains undiminished. We discovered this magnificent restaurant during a family trip years ago, and on our way back from the Aubrac region towards Switzerland, we decided to stop there again. What an excellent idea! Everything was perfect from start to finish: refined cuisine, full of elegance and mastery, impeccable service, and a smiling, attentive, and genuinely pleasant staff. The wine pairings were also remarkable, with some truly wonderful local discoveries. This lunch was a truly timeless experience, a pure moment of happiness and indulgence. It's always a great pleasure to visit Le Carré d'Aléthius. Thank you to the entire team for this incredible experience and for your consistency over the years.

20/08/2026: A very pleasant surprise! We came somewhat randomly and by default (many restaurants were closed). There were three of us, and we ate three different main courses and three different desserts: everything was original and excellent! All for a reasonable price and with friendly and accommodating service (they even provided extra plates to share!). We highly recommend it!!!

19/08/2026: Arrived at 1:15 pm and received a warm welcome. The meal was superb, flawless from start to finish. For two people: starter, main course, dessert, an aperitif, and a glass of wine (a Perrier with lemon) (€58.50, unbeatable!). The homemade hummus, veal tagine, and skate wing were excellent, beautifully presented, and absolutely delicious! Perfect value for money. The dining room was lovely and very clean. Finally, the waitresses were incredibly professional, smiling, and attentive! A very pleasant stopover. Well done to the whole team! I highly recommend it.

25/08/2026: An excellent experience in every way. The crepes are delicious, both sweet and savory. Their authentic flavor transports you to Brittany. The place is very welcoming, and the service is incredibly fast and friendly. We had eaten in just 30 minutes, something I greatly appreciate when sightseeing.

05/01/2026: The food is excellent, but the portions are very small, which is a shame. The same goes for the wine glasses. Ours were definitely less than 12cl. How can you expect to build customer loyalty with a business like that? The service is adequate, but not up to the standard of the food. They ask us how we did without even looking at us—that says it all about their attention! 😅 In short, remember, food isn't everything!

26/08/2026: A pleasant restaurant with excellent, tasty, and generous cuisine – well done! The only downside was the inconsistent service; the diet menu seemed to be completely unknown when we ordered, but fortunately the large salad turned out to be an excellent second choice.

11/07/2026: We're staying at Yelloh! Village Ranc Davaine in the Ardèche. The location is beautiful. The Ardèche River runs right alongside the campsite and is one of its biggest highlights. The water is crystal clear, the scenery is stunning, and it's a fantastic place for kids to swim, play, and catch small fish with nets. We spent many enjoyable hours there. The swimming pool is also fantastic. It's very well designed to stay pleasantly cool, even on hot days. There are several fun slides that the kids absolutely loved, and there is plenty of space for everyone to find a comfortable spot, whether you prefer the indoor pools or the outdoor areas. The lifeguards were always friendly and welcoming. The mobile home is decent, although it's quite small for seven people. The wallpaper is peeling off in places, and the air conditioning feels like the cheapest model they could find. It barely cools the place down, especially during the hotter parts of the day. The staff, however, are fantastic. Everyone has been incredibly friendly, welcoming, and helpful throughout our stay. The biggest issue—and the reason I'll be leaving such a low rating—is the EV charging situation. The campsite advertises four chargers, but in reality only one is actually usable for most EVs. Two are Tesla Destination Chargers, which did not work with our Škoda Elroq 65 despite downloading and configuring the official Tesla app. Another charger requires you to bring your own adapter, leaving just a single charger for everyone else. We've been here for over a week and haven't been able to charge our car even once. The only usable charger is constantly occupied, often by the same guest who leaves their car there all day, even after it's fully charged. Whether that's due to a lack of rules or a lack of enforcement, the result is the same: if you rely on charging your EV at the campsite, don't count on it. It's a real shame because the campsite has many positives, but for anyone travelling with an electric vehicle, the charging facilities are completely inadequate for a campsite of this size. Until this is improved, I cannot recommend this campsite to EV drivers.

30/05/2026: Only tight-fitting swim trunks are allowed in the swimming pool. That would have been helpful information beforehand. The Tesla charging stations haven't received an update in a long time. Therefore, newer Tesla models/vehicles can't charge there. Relying solely on the operator's Wi-Fi is a real disgrace. They refer you to other locations, but nobody could tell me if it works there.

26/08/2026: A simple yet efficient restaurant serving delicious home-style cooking made with local ingredients. It's the perfect place to fuel up before climbing Mont Gerbier-de-Jonc (1500m), the highest peak in the Massif Central, located in the Ardèche (07). This is also where you'll find the geographical source of the Loire, the longest river in France. I highly recommend this restaurant for its efficient and prompt service.

12/08/2026: Cycling through with my daughter, after a two-hour climb up a mountain pass from Joyeuse in the 38°C heat, completely out of water and incredibly thirsty, I stopped and asked if I could buy water with my bank card. Oh boy! The owner's welcome! No cards here!!! Clearly, I wasn't the kind of customer who was going to make his day, and I can understand why. As for his lack of compassion, I didn't even bother asking if tap water was available, given his curt reply. Just a reminder, giving water to anyone who asks for it is mandatory, and this applies to everyone. It could have been a nice place for lunch or dinner, but we'll never go there 😉 A word to the wise!
