08/06/2026: A truly wonderful culinary experience this morning! We tried the couscous of the day and were pleasantly surprised by the taste. A taste that reminded us of our childhood in the countryside. In any case, we loved it: the dish, the quick service, and the warm welcome. I highly recommend it!

03/01/2026: Honestly, this is ridiculous. I paid €18 for a royal couscous, and seriously, the portion size is outrageous. Life is already expensive, and they were lucky I didn't check the bag when it arrived at my house. I saw it then, and if I'd seen it before, I would have thrown the couscous at his head! Seriously, who do they think we are? That's it, they won't see me again. Honestly, it was much better before with the previous owners. This restaurant was stingy. I haven't eaten it yet; I'll tell you later, but I'm telling you, these aren't dishes, they're rations.

13/03/2026: Calm atmosphere. Quick and very pleasant service. Delicious food from appetizer to dessert. We thoroughly enjoyed it. Very reasonable prices. A major plus: the fried food barely smelled afterward. We'll definitely be back.

01/03/2026: The welcome was pleasant, the mussels were good, however the sauce was swimming in oil. A shame about the bland, frozen fries. We didn't eat badly, but we didn't eat well either, so an average rating.

The dishes are delicious, prepared with quality ingredients and presented with care. Every bite is a true pleasure; the flavors are perfectly balanced. The service is attentive without being intrusive, with a smiling and helpful team. Excellent value for money for a place I recommend without hesitation. I will definitely be back!

26/04/2026: We loved this restaurant. Its ambiance, its location, its fresh ingredients. The owner is extremely friendly and welcoming, as is his young waitress. He doesn't hesitate to call you back if you get the voicemail. If you're passing through the area, I highly recommend it. The portions are generous, the food is excellent, and the prices are reasonable. We'll definitely be back. A restaurant this warm and welcoming, with such a great combination, is rare! 19/01/2026: I booked a table for eight at La Velada two weeks in advance for a birthday celebration. We ordered food and cocktails for almost €400, and at 11:30 PM, just as the party was starting to get going, they kicked us out of the table to make room for another group! This is unacceptable! The least they could do is warn us in advance that the table could be given away at any moment, because we were left out in the cold before the party had even started! Avoid this place, especially for a birthday! What's more, they didn't hesitate to film us during the evening and put it on their social media, even though we were kicked out afterward!

08/01/2026: First time at La Velada for my friends and me. A very pleasant surprise, especially the wood-fired pizza which was excellent. A superb atmosphere in this lively restaurant – we'll be back very soon!

05/07/2026: A very poor welcome. The manager refused to serve us before closing time. It's a shame that such behavior damages the brand's image.

02/07/2026: Way too crowded! Never a seat! You see ads everywhere on TV, but when you arrive, there are no special offers. The teen menu is €8; you might as well get an adult menu for almost the same price, especially since there's nothing there for that price! Dirty tables, sloppy service. We had two trays with spilled Coke on them.

12/06/2026: The advantage of this ice cream shop is that it opens relatively late and has seating. However, we found that some flavors were okay, but others were really bad, especially the coffee, which was very bitter.

11/06/2026: I came to Marseille last Saturday for the weekend and tried the fig, ricotta, and walnut ice cream – it was amazing! Next time I come, I'll try other flavors that look just as good 😋 A foodie's paradise!

29/06/2026: I had a wonderful time at this restaurant. The welcome was warm, the service attentive, and the food was absolutely delicious. The ingredients seemed fresh and well-prepared, bursting with flavor. The atmosphere is pleasant and friendly, perfect for enjoying a lovely meal with friends or family. I highly recommend it and will gladly return!

28/06/2026: The worst experience ever!!!!! Definitely avoid the lamb and ground beef skewers... a disaster....the fries were cold, we waited almost 45 minutes...for a tiny plate of food (even though the restaurant was practically empty)....a disgrace to Lebanese cuisine...... Never again.

19/03/2026: I found a small piece of plastic in my sorbet. I didn't dare say anything to the waiter, but I think it's pretty bad. The piece was quite sharp and about 1.5 cm long. It was gray, probably a piece of the mango sorbet container. I left it in plain sight on my plate when I left. I could have seriously hurt myself, and if I had swallowed it, it wouldn't have been good for my health 😣

09/03/2026: I go there often. Terrasses du Port. Friendly welcome, good clientele, well-maintained, great view, no waiting, good and generous portions. The raspberry garden for dessert is highly recommended.

04/06/2026: They're scammers! I went in with my mother, and they charged us €3 for a savory pastry when they actually sell it for €1. With my backpack (I was shopping), they mistook me for a tourist! I obviously reported the person who pocketed the €2... The pastries are also very bad; you're better off going somewhere else, frankly.

04/06/2026: The pastries were poor quality: too hard, too floury, or just sugar with no real ingredients, and the "sfendje" was rubbery and too oily. But on top of that, it's a total rip-off: I'm from Marseille and I stopped by this pastry shop before catching my train to visit my mother (many shops close on Mondays in Marseille, so I had no choice). It cost me €48, but the cashier tricked me into thinking the card terminal was faulty and made me pay the same amount again. With my backpack and suitcase, the cashier assumed I was a tourist, an easy target for scammers. When I checked my bank statement, I was charged twice! I've been to this shop several times and have proof. The seller has never denied the facts, but he keeps coming up with a new excuse not to reimburse me, and this has been going on for four months (I'm writing this review in June 2026)! Now it's in the hands of the fraud squad and my bank. Absolutely avoid them!

01/06/2026: A legendary Marseille bar where Ricard is served in a Ballantine's whisky glass. It's such a shame, everything's going to pot. And their only excuse is that customers steal the glasses. I'm not a thief, just a disappointed customer.

15/06/2026: Great choice to stay for a few days in a cool and lively neighbourhood of Marseille, at walking distance to the Cours Julien. The price is very fair and the room accordingly rather basic (depending on the category one books of course). In general it was quiet in the room, but it can get quite loud when there are events on the hotel ground floor (even up until the 5th floor). Staff was always nice and helpful, just one day our room was not made up despite our request (via a sign left on the doorknob in the morning). Breakfast buffet (for 21€) was rich and had a good vegetarian selection, and there was even the option to have a lighter version for just 10€.
