03/05/2026: We were pleasantly surprised by this neighborhood pizzeria. We had reserved a table on the terrace for lunch and were immediately given a very warm welcome. The waiter was very attentive to children and pets. In addition, the prices are reasonable and they even have local pastis. 😉 They have a children's menu, which is a nice touch. We ordered the daily special: aioli. It was delicious and beautifully presented. Plus, it was a generous portion. We had a lovely time and plan to return soon.

10/04/2026: 30 minutes promised for 3 pizzas, 1 hour and 40 minutes later and still no pizzas. The recipe isn't the same, we all have stomach aches! A shame for a neighborhood "pizzeria," from now on we'll go elsewhere

06/06/2026: This is the third time I've bought fries there, and each time the fries were raw. What a waste! All of it went in the bin! I like their kebab, but that's about it. The staff are unpleasant; they complain because you tell them it's not the right sandwich, only to come in and see that the other part of the order is wrong too! In short, if you want good fries, don't go there.

22/05/2026: Honestly, the sandwiches are good, no complaints there. However, you're really stingy with the sauce. There's always someone watching to make sure the cooks don't use too much.

14/04/2026: The InterContinental Marseille – Hôtel Dieu is a five-star establishment. It says so everywhere. The building is magnificent — an 18th-century former hospital inaugurated by Napoleon III, no less. I arrived with my expectations intact. They did not survive the terrace. Perhaps I am being particular. I have been called worse. But when an establishment charges five-star prices and displays five stars above its door, it has entered into an implicit agreement with its guests. I hold up my end. I pay the bill without complaint. In return, I expect the stars to mean something. Had there been no stars, no white-glove pretensions — I would not have bothered. But there are. And so here we are. We were seated on the terrace of Le Capian. And what a terrace it is — in the architectural sense, certainly. In every other sense, winter came, deposited its full inventory of leaves, debris and grime, and nobody thought to object. Something had occupied a section of the floor for the cold months — a planter, a piece of furniture, one can only speculate. It had since been removed. What had not been removed was the evidence of its long residency: grease stains, dark outlines pressed into the stone, the biography of an object that sat undisturbed for months. One might invoke Marseille's famously brisk Mistral winds as a mitigating circumstance. One would be wrong. Any establishment of this classification, in this city, is intimately acquainted with the Mistral. It is not a surprise. It is a forecast. Maintaining a terrace in these conditions is not exceptional hospitality — it is Tuesday. The service rose to the occasion — by which I mean it did not rise at all. Our waitress passed our table with great purpose, that purpose being the table directly behind us. We waited. We continued to wait. One wonders — and I raise this as a man who dresses for his own comfort and has never dressed to impress — whether one's reception here is subject to a quiet visual assessment. I have encountered this philosophy at other addresses of similar standing. It is not more charming the second time. When hospitality finally arrived, it took the form of a bowl of olives. Just olives. No nuts. No accompaniments. At every five-star bar I have visited, the welcome snack has at minimum suggested someone gave it a thought. Here, Le Capian has placed the entire weight of its hospitality onto a single olive. It is, I concede, a very good olive. And yet, at these prices, the snack is not a courtesy — it is a statement. A bowl of solitary olives makes an establishment of this ranking appear, to use a word one rarely associates with five stars, cheap. The following day I visited Le Dantès Skylounge at the Sofitel Marseille Vieux-Port — also five stars. The terrace was clean. The staff acknowledged us. Snacks appeared without negotiation. None of this is remarkable. None of it should be. But that story deserves its own review. Le Capian was entirely content to let the architecture do the talking — and to let the rest of us sit quietly on a dirty terrace, waiting to be noticed. 02/06/2026: Since the change of ownership, the quality has truly improved! The pizzas are excellent, generously topped, flavorful, and made with high-quality ingredients. The staff is also very welcoming, friendly, and professional, making the experience even more enjoyable. I highly recommend La Cabane à Pizza to all pizza lovers. 19/02/2026: What a welcome! The lady was condescending because we didn't know "the so-called classic pastries" or their names. Sorry, I'm not a pastry chef 😂... Patience, tolerance, and a warm welcome would be a real plus for this tea room, which at first glance seems quite nice. The food was so-so and the prices a bit high. It's not exactly inspiring!

16/01/2026: Absolutely terrible, the reception was incredibly bland, they made you wait 2 hours to serve a dish that made no sense, it was a complete mess 🤮

04/06/2026: They're scammers! I went in with my mother, and they charged us €3 for a savory pastry when they actually sell it for €1. With my backpack (I was shopping), they mistook me for a tourist! I obviously reported the person who pocketed the €2... The pastries are also very bad; you're better off going somewhere else, frankly.

04/06/2026: The pastries were poor quality: too hard, too floury, or just sugar with no real ingredients, and the "sfendje" was rubbery and too oily. But on top of that, it's a total rip-off: I'm from Marseille and I stopped by this pastry shop before catching my train to visit my mother (many shops close on Mondays in Marseille, so I had no choice). It cost me €48, but the cashier tricked me into thinking the card terminal was faulty and made me pay the same amount again. With my backpack and suitcase, the cashier assumed I was a tourist, an easy target for scammers. When I checked my bank statement, I was charged twice! I've been to this shop several times and have proof. The seller has never denied the facts, but he keeps coming up with a new excuse not to reimburse me, and this has been going on for four months (I'm writing this review in June 2026)! Now it's in the hands of the fraud squad and my bank. Absolutely avoid them!

31/05/2026: Excellent. As usual. For anyone who loves good pizza. A bit pricey, but that's what you pay if you want to eat kosher. However, IT'S A COMPLETE ROCK-FALLER. A SHAME, NO MAINTENANCE!

12/04/2026: A complete disaster. I'm giving it one star because it's mandatory. The service is catastrophic, the restaurant is simply a warehouse, and its cleanliness is appalling. I don't even understand how the hygiene department or the Beth Din (rabbinical court) isn't doing anything about it… Avoid at all costs.

24/03/2026: Nice atmosphere with tasty pizza - good quality/ price. No nonsense service, so fast and just making you feel a welcome guest

18/03/2026: I ate the dish of the day: shrimp and pilaf rice. The gentleman was welcoming, but the lady was a bit gruff.

04/06/2026: A great spot near the beach. Quick and delicious. Very affordable prices (€12.50 for the four-cheese, royal, and goat's milk honey pizzas, for example). They don't take cards, but don't worry, there's an ATM 5 minutes away.

21/05/2026: Fast delivery, but I honestly would have preferred to wait an hour. Half the pizza fell apart. First and last time. Thanks a lot!
