09/07/2025: We enjoyed the dishes made with fresh produce. The lunch menu is good value for money (€24.50 E+P+D).
The service is pleasant, if a bit rushed (aperitif and daily specials are served immediately). A few tables are available on the terrace. A great place to stay.
08/07/2025: Excellent, I've rarely eaten so well for such a good price. The staff is lovely.

30/06/2025: I love the quality at Sushi H, the dishes are really delicious BUT they have a real organizational problem. It's not possible to wait so long to be served... 30 minutes before getting drinks and more than an hour for sushi. It seems like they take way too many takeout orders and that dine-in customers are forgotten. I prefer to be told clearly that they can't take my reservation rather than to say yes and not be able to serve us in a reasonable time.

17/09/2024: Petit resto hyper chaleureux, cosy et un personnel très très attentionné.
Carte très sympa avec des classiques ( cagouilles) mais aussi des créations (tartare d’algue par exemple) le patron est un vrai passionné ,un bonheur d’échanger avec lui. Je ne suis pas allé dans un restaurant de ce genre depuis quelques décennies. Je recommande fortement.
14/09/2024: Très bon restaurant, les fruits de mer étaient excellent et le serveur très gentil et très bon conseiller surtout pour le vin. Très bonne expérience je recommande.

08/12/2025: The most beautiful tea room I know. We discovered it as a group of girls. We were very comfortable in a lounge upstairs. Beautiful vintage decor. The pastries and drinks are delicious and satisfying. The menu is very varied with lots of choices. The prices are reasonable.
The waitresses gave us a warm welcome. I highly recommend it.

Disappointed by the cassoulet...very greasy; it was much better last winter.
It was cold, the dining room was poorly heated...
The carafe of rosé was a bit pricey at €24 for 50cl.
24/01/2026: I don't recommend it; the concept is fun, but if you're coming to eat, you're likely to be disappointed.
The freshness of the ingredients is questionable. The cocktail is very low in alcohol. The profiteroles have stale cream puffs.

21/11/2025: A restaurant very close to the port...but in a quiet location. As its name suggests, you can enjoy a delicious meal at a very reasonable price in a simple and welcoming atmosphere. Everyone at our table loved the tagines...and I loved the French toast, though it wasn't for everyone! The chocolate mousse was excellent, according to others! The wine was very good and reasonably priced. Go without hesitation!

23/10/2025: This restaurant was recommended to me. It's true that when I arrived in La Rochelle, I hadn't thought about eating Périgord specialties! But I didn't regret it because the food was excellent, and Marie and the young man were truly welcoming and friendly.
This market is very pleasant, with its stalls and bar/restaurants. Pure bliss!
