02/07/2024: I organized a meal for an association. The feedback I received from those present was excellent. We were very well received. Friendly dynamic staff. A succulent meal with well-stocked plates. I highly recommend this establishment. Personally, I really appreciated the availability of the owner both the days before the meal to organize us and on the day.

We took a box to share plus 4 extra sauces, and surprised when we got home no sauce!!!
Never seen that!
13/12/2024: Order placed for delivery...missing the sauces that we pay for, missing the pair of socks that we also pay for with the menu...the drinks I don't even mention, undrinkable, forced to throw them away
In addition, unreachable by telephone for a complaint. Honestly at the price of fast food today...
I'm not ready to eat there again

24/07/2024: dans un cadre agréable en plein centre ville de Cognac, une carte comportant peu de proposition ce qui est parfait, un service impeccable un personnel aux petits soins ...donc je m'attendais à un bon diner ! mais quelle déception, le poisson (du bar ce jour là n'avait aucun gout ),le baba au cognac ( une petite pipette de Cognac , fait sourire dans la région productrice), un bon point pour la glace excellente ( fournie par le meilleur ouvrier de France).

We really enjoyed ourselves this Sunday lunchtime, refined and original dishes from starter to dessert, a good wine recommended by the charming manager.
A special note for the two-chocolate millefeuille with its ice cream accompanied by a parcel of parsley! Very original and delicious 😋
It’s really an address that I recommend to everyone and where we will return with pleasure.

25/07/2024: During my visit to this worker's restaurant, I opted for the single menu at 13€. I have to say I was slightly disappointed. The small salad as a starter was OK, but the fries were undercooked.
However, I must admit that the ambiance of the restaurant was pleasant, with a classic and friendly atmosphere. It was also a meeting place for local workers, which added a little charm to the place.
Despite a few small flaws, I'm sure this restaurant will please some with its affordable menu and warm atmosphere. Recommended for those looking for a simple and unpretentious meal.

26/01/2025: Good welcome, fresh and noisy atmosphere, waiter with heavy humor, however good cocktails, overcooked calzone pizza, undercooked egg white dino pizza and above all forget the toto pizza you won't find any porcini mushrooms. Not great Profiteroles with soft cabbage. There were 7 of us and we won't be back.

19/08/2024: One Sunday lunchtime in August, we stopped at Le Coq d'Or which is well rated on Google. We are with our 2 daughters on the terrace who behave well. The food is ok nothing more. I take my daughters to the bathroom and in the meantime, the waiter offers my husband a coffee and says "you must need it with all these girls". I find it sexist and unwelcome, especially since the children behaved very well at the table.
18/08/2024: Great place, nice service and fast, not too much waiting between each dish

20/03/2024: You never know when it's open or not. Before going there, I check the opening hours, modified 2 weeks ago by the owner, I tell myself that it's good... 1 hour after the announced opening time it's still closed, the staff does the housework
