14/05/2026: Stayed for 4 nights at the end of April 2026. The room was functional and comfortable. A mini bar is available for your own drinks, but no kettle, tea/coffee or mugs are provided. Beautiful and large exterior seating area to enjoy. Pool area clean and beautifully landscaped. Lucie served our breakfasts and she was charming, engaging and fun. On our last day we needed to leave before breakfast service. We spoke to Lucie and she said that she could provide it earlier and it was on our terrace waiting for us, just as requested. Our chats with her were a warm and memorable part of our stay and 6 week trip. The whole complex had a lovely family feel and our dog Rudi was made to feel very welcome. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend or to return and it is an ideal base to explore Bonifacio!

18/04/2026: Fantastic stay! The guesthouse is charming, tastefully decorated, and spotlessly clean. The atmosphere is calm and relaxing, ideal for enjoying Bonifacio. We received a warm welcome from helpful hosts who offered excellent advice. The breakfast was delicious, featuring high-quality products. One small drawback: the swimming pool wasn't working during our stay, which was a shame. Fortunately, our host recommended a beautiful beach nearby, which more than made up for it. A truly wonderful place that I highly recommend.

26/08/2026: Gelato and creamery in the center of Porticcio. Very slow service... mediocre gelato and very high prices. Ice cream cups €20 Very nice location on the beach, facing the sea... but the tables are often in the sun.

24/08/2026: Breakfast isn't what it used to be: two jars with one teaspoon of jam (not even enough to spread on toast), butter... well, it was like it had been sitting on the counter for ages, and the croissants were mediocre at best. Where are the days of freshly squeezed orange juice?! And all this for 10 euros! The club isn't what it used to be.

27/08/2026: A truly wonderful time! 😋 We enjoyed a ribeye steak with new potatoes and a delicious Roquefort sauce: a real treat! 🥩 My daughter loved the homemade nuggets, made with fresh ingredients. The quality and homemade touch really make all the difference! 👌 The menu offers great suggestions and high-quality products. The welcome is warm and friendly, and the service is top-notch. An excellent place where we had a lovely time. We highly recommend it!

26/08/2026: A huge disappointment. Uninspired food, sluggish service (10 people on the terrace, an hour's wait to be served). Tasteless dishes. Dry, tough meat, microwaved potatoes, profiteroles as hard as rocks. And I won't even mention the dubious quality of the "Corsican" charcuterie. A real shame, as the old menu was definitely worth a visit. It's a pity, it used to be a good place. But that was then.

08/09/2026: A wonderful stop in Girolata! We had a fantastic meal at La Cabane du Berger, with delicious dishes and excellent value for money. The staff are particularly friendly, welcoming, and always smiling, making for a very pleasant experience. The setting is truly superb and unique: eating in the heart of nature, surrounded by cows, adds a lot of charm and is an integral part of the Girolata experience! The only slight drawback: the furniture really needs updating. The chairs and tables are quite old, and some seemed a bit unstable. We weren't always very comfortable, with the feeling that the furniture might give way or cause us to fall. It's a shame because with some newer, more comfortable furnishings, the experience would be truly perfect. Nevertheless, it remains a very good place to eat, with pleasant cuisine, reasonable prices, a lovely team, and above all, an exceptional setting. We had a wonderful time!

02/09/2026: Our table for two became a table for four because we were so crammed in next to other people! It was a bit much. The meal was average for the price. The waitresses were nice.

01/09/2026: If I miss my cruise ship, you know where to find me 💗💗💗 Stopped for a morning coffee. As a non coffee drinker, I may convert, so good we came back for pizza lunch, so glad we did. Best pizza Neapolitan, we have ever, ever had, and all the other meals looked just as good. Tried the Corsican Rose, WOW. The staff are truly delightful. Bon appétit guaranteed!

01/09/2026: I ate the John Dory. An absolute highlight. Cooked to perfection and a generous fillet/portion.

29/08/2026: Excellent food and a wonderful encounter with the owners of this establishment, who were incredibly friendly and welcoming. We had the pleasure of chatting with them after our meal, as they kindly offered us a myrtle digestif. ☺️ I highly recommend this place and would definitely return if the opportunity arises. ☺️

22/08/2026: Very welcoming but disappointed by the quantity and quality compared to the price. The establishment is very well located. What a shame!

28/07/2026: Weirdly this place doesn't show in the restaurant filter on Google maps, which is an oversight. I suspect it would get more trade if it did. Either way, my wife and I had a very good tuna salad and delicious savoury crepe here for Saturday lunch. The service was efficient and friendly, and the price was really good (If I recall correctly it was 6 euro for a substantial cheese, ham and cheese sauce crepe!). We plan to return before we leave Ajaccio for one of the delicious looking ice creams desserts 😋.

16/06/2026: We stopped to eat an ice cream, we were very well received, with a smile, they brought us a carafe of water, they took care to check if everything was alright, and the ice creams were well worth the price!

02/08/2026: Buying strawberry and lemon tarts, soft pastry, stale strawberries, tarts that are several days old. Sunday is for baking, not for passing off unsold items. Please maintain the standard.

24/07/2026: Absolutely fantastic! Friendly staff. Excellent bread. Specialties from all over the world that you won't find anywhere else. And Corsican specialties... Mmm! I love it!

04/09/2026: Delicious ceviche and pinsa. Desserts are presented to the guest. A very surprising and tasty selection.

03/09/2026: A very warm welcome, smiling and friendly staff. We were just passing through and were very well received, and we enjoyed a delicious wild boar stew... very tasty. I highly recommend it. Keep up the good work!

01/11/2025: We received a very warm welcome upon entering the restaurant. We were given excellent advice, especially regarding the Nutella tiramisu, which the children devoured. The fish was slightly undercooked, but this was immediately rectified without any difficulty, and the customer apologized. I highly recommend this restaurant.

01/09/2026: Excellent restaurant in Ajaccio! My lamb chops were absolutely incredible, the Corsican platters were amazing too, and the children's menu delighted my niece. The staff were very friendly and pleasant. Thank you for everything. I highly recommend it.

25/08/2026: The place is magnificent, but the cocktails are very expensive, and the service doesn't match the prices. The cocktails are very good, but for €15-17, you'd expect, as you would anywhere else at that price, at least a few peanuts or something else, however modest... and when we asked very politely, they told us, "We only serve guacamole, which is extra," without a smile. I think I wasn't the only one asking; the waitress must have been tired of repeating the same thing. They're taking advantage of the exceptional location and their near-monopoly on the view. I'd been going there for years. I won't go anymore. Besides, there was nobody there on this early evening in mid-August... they need to ask themselves the right questions. In the past, we used to pass through this restaurant to get to the beach, and that encouraged us to buy things. Now they've closed off access to the beach, forcing people to use a detour that's impossible for those with mobility issues. One can understand the manager's point of view in not wanting to maintain the walkway for non-customers, but this has changed everything. The spirit, the desire, is no longer there!

24/08/2026: The location on Santa Giulia beach is simply sublime for ending the day, the welcome was excellent, and the atmosphere was exceptional (white party during our visit).
