09/05/2026: A getaway with my husband, planned two months in advance: car, accommodation, meals, and activities between rain showers and the tides. Overall, the stay was decent, with a few positive points, notably good food at the restaurant and a nice wine list. However, several things significantly marred our experience. During two meals we had there—one costing over €50 and the other €40—we were served the exact same vegetable side dishes. We were also treated to a charcuterie platter that looked like it came straight from a supermarket and a soup so salty it seemed like the salt shaker had been spilled in it. As for the wine service, it's a shame the waiters weren't attentive: neither of them thought to refill our glasses before we finished our main course. The staff, for their part, seemed to vary depending on their mood. One waitress appeared to be able to control her emotions, while another was particularly abrupt. If I had been alone, I probably would have left. The overall impression is of an overwhelmed, inattentive staff who operate on autopilot, without any real attention to the guests. This is regrettable, as their technical skills do not compensate for their lack of interpersonal skills. As for the hotel itself, the prices are high for a service that does not meet the advertised expectations. Throughout my stay, a persistent smell of urine filled the room. The toilet bowl was clearly not cleaned properly, which reinforced this impression of unsanitary conditions. The sheets were only changed once in five days. The decorative fabric cushions on the bed mainly convey a lack of hygiene; it would be better to leave them out altogether. As for the pillows, they were soft and yellowed and definitely needed replacing. A little baking soda and vinegar would do wonders… I will not return to this establishment and I will not recommend it. We also spoke with several local residents, who have noticed a decline in quality over time. Unfortunately, only tourists passing through seem to be able to fall for it anymore. In 2026, it would also be time to seriously consider accessibility and compliance with the 2005 law concerning public places. Since the CEO is presented as the owner of numerous businesses in the port, it would be wise to invest more in staff training, as well as in hygiene and accessibility improvements.

27/08/2026: We came in August one evening after a last-minute reservation. Despite the slightly late hour, we received a perfect welcome, with warmth and courtesy. The meat was cooked to perfection, and the other dishes were delicious. Don't hesitate to visit this restaurant.

24/08/2026: We absolutely loved our 7 days at Maison de Marie, an ideal base for exploring the Pink Granite Coast. The "Sea View" room and its en-suite bathroom are spacious, elegant, and very comfortable—a true haven after a day of sightseeing. Daniel is an exceptional host, warm and attentive. He shared all his invaluable advice on activities, must-sees in the region, and his excellent restaurant recommendations. A special mention goes to his delicious breakfasts, prepared with great care: a real treat! We also particularly appreciated all of Daniel's thoughtful touches… so lovely and touching! In short, we shared simple, authentic, and convivial moments with our host, which perfectly reflect the quality of the welcome we received. 23/08/2026: A charming stopover to base yourself for visiting the pink granite cliffs. Daniel is an exceptional host who made our stay relaxing in an elegant and welcoming setting. The room was gorgeous and the breakfast was carefully prepared. Daniel provided us with all the information we needed to make sure we didn't miss anything during our stay in this region. 23/07/2026: A carafe of water: €3.50! There were two of us having dinner, €30.00 per person. For personal reasons, we didn't order any additional drinks except for the infamous carafe of water. At the time of payment: the manager's revenge: an extra €3.50 for the carafe of water, which is served free everywhere else in France. LESSON: meticulously ask for the price of everything upfront, unless you no longer want to go in after this shameful experience.

04/08/2026: Traditional restaurant offering a set menu for €15.50 on weekdays (choice of 2 starters, 2 main courses, and several desserts). Everything is homemade and served with a smile. Don't hesitate to book, as this place is very popular, and we understand why!
