06/02/2026: The canal grocery store is wonderful! I've been going there for years; being in the countryside just 5 minutes from Besançon is a real luxury. The morel mushroom tart, the frogs' legs… a good aperitif, a good wine to accompany dinner—it's pure bliss. A great place to go, summer or winter.

10/12/2025: A very good experience and very pleasant servers. A super friendly restaurant with a very warm atmosphere! The food is very good and the portions are generous, perfectly in line with the prices (a total of €40 for drinks, starter, main course, and dessert). I highly recommend it! Just two "negative points": the service was a little slow, but this was entirely justified by the restaurant being very full, and if two people at the same table order a cheese fondue, they have to order the same one. We found this a shame, as we wanted to try two different fondues (morel for me and champagne for my companion), but this wasn't possible, so we had to choose. Apart from that, nothing to complain about. (However, remember to book ahead because it seems to be often full.)

09/12/2025: I came for a couple's birthday dinner and found some of the choices surprising given the final bill. The three-meat hot stone grill was good, but the sauces were charged extra—€3 for the pepper sauce (just a simple pepper cream), which is rarely done elsewhere. The same logic applied to the "café gourmand" (gourmet coffee): changing the ice cream flavor was charged at €0.80, even though it wasn't prepared in advance… I understand the internal policies, but the overall approach lacked tact, especially in the context of a birthday—even a simple candle would have been appreciated. It's a shame, because the setting is warm and the staff pleasant, but these details leave a mixed impression.

15/02/2026: I spent Valentine's Day with my girlfriend in this very romantic hotel. It's 100% worth the trip and made us want to come back. The restaurant is luxurious with a magnificent mountain view. The menu was very good; I ate a delicious steak. At first, we were a little worried about the prices, but the staff is impeccable. The view from the room is absolutely incredible, and the restaurant is chic and delicious with impeccable service. We will definitely be back!
