24/02/2026: Great family restaurant. I was a little worried at first because of the high ceilings and a group that arrived... I was afraid it would be noisy, but not at all! The restaurant is perfectly suited for that. As for the food... absolutely delicious, from the tapas to the main courses and even the desserts. We received excellent wine recommendations. Seriously, if you're in Saintes, you must stop by!

08/02/2026: A very beautiful place, but you'll have to plan a bit of a walk to reach the larger pools. The water is cool, but very pleasant in summer. On arrival, there's a paid parking lot, and you don't have a choice. A shuttle can take you to the top, saving you the short walk. The water is very beautiful, but it can get crowded, so plan to come early in the morning or late in the day.

I live in the village, and objectively speaking, this establishment offers simple and authentic cuisine, served in generous portions. When I say simple, I don't mean it in a pejorative way: it's a perfect simplicity that highlights the taste and quality of the ingredients. The menu, specially created for the card tournament, perfectly fulfills its purpose: the essential element is there—the pleasure of good food. Added to this is an impeccable, warm, and professional welcome. In short, a quality establishment where you almost feel at home.

22/02/2026: I've been going almost every year since I was little. So let's say 30 years. I could never give the Gruss Circus a bad review. It's too sentimental. But I have to admit, this 2026 show disappointed me a little. Where the horses are usually the focus and the set design and costumes are always incredible, I was let down. The tribute is a beautiful idea, but the backstage aspect detracts from the magic. There are fewer costumes, fewer poetic acts with the horses. I feel like they've been relegated to the background, which is why we come. The musical aspect works if you have singers. So yes, it's sweet seeing little girls paying tribute to their grandfather, but everyone has their own expertise. Anyway, it's still a good time. It's sentimental for me at this point, but I hope that next year we'll return to the grandeur. It must be hard to reinvent yourself every year. That said, I remain a lover of their shows and a less successful year does not tarnish that in any way.

The crust is light, crispy on the outside, soft on the inside—the kind of pizza where you find yourself finishing the crusts without even thinking about it. A little anecdote: a Serrano ham platter as an aperitif, and the evening is already off to a perfect start. It's practically a guarantee of a good time. Here again, you can feel the passion. You can feel Italy. You can feel the authenticity. And above all, you can feel the passion for their craft. It's become a must-visit restaurant. A place where quality never wavers. Come with a smile, leave with happiness.
