08/09/2024: Très belle boulangerie/pâtisserie, des produits avec de belles finitions, mais pas mis en valeur par la vendeuse. Hier, je m'y arrête pour le rayon/snacking et je vois qu'il y a des kouign amann. Il y en avait bien une dizaine dans la vitrine, d'une couleur blond/doré, bien appétissants. Ravie d'en trouver au Pays Basque, et d'en déguster un sans devoir attendre qu'une de mes collègues m'en rapporte de Bretagne, j'en demande un. La vendeuse, (une cinquantaine d'années), le met promptement dans un sachet, mais j'ai le temps de voir qu'il est beaucoup plus foncé que les autres dans la vitrine, soit un peu trop cuit. Je lui en fais la remarque. Je m'attends à ce qu'elle le ressorte du sachet en me disant : "on va comparer avec les autres" ou "je peux vous en donner un autre". Elle me répond sèchement : "Ils sont tous pareils !" et me sort ma note à régler. J'entends sa collègue qui lui dit : "Quelle autorité !", et voit la vendeuse arborer un grand sourire en réponse. A noter qu'il n'y avait pas une grosse affluence dans la boutique à ce moment-là, donc pas de raison d'être aussi expéditive dans la façon de me servir. Je n'ai pas eu envie de batailler contre cette dame pour un article de quelques euros, J'en suis restée là. Résultat, après déballage, mon kouign amann était effectivement plus foncé que les autres, sans doute sorti du four plus tardivement. Il était quand-même bon, même si un peu sec. Mais au bout du compte, je ressors de là avec le sentiment qu'on m'a pris pour une c****, et j'ai horreur de ça. Et au lieu de vendre les produits qui rendent hommage aux pâtissiers, la vendeuse m'a fourgué le moins réussi de la fournée, alors qu'il y en avait plein d'autres en vitrine. Je n'appelle pas cela avoir le sens de l'accueil ni du commerce.

06/09/2024: While passing through Troyes, we found this restaurant among the best rated. Everything was from start to finish. We recommend this place and it's a shame we didn't come to try the brazier (on certain weekday evenings). We will plan our return accordingly.

02/09/2024: Very pleasant service and privileged outdoor location for a city restaurant. On the other hand, a small downside on the “sissy” dish. A little too much cream. Which makes the dish a little disgusting for me. Otherwise I recommend this restaurant

07/12/2024: We were so happy to visit Jones on our recent return to Paris! This popular and well-established bistronomic restaurant truly became one of my favorite dining experiences, as I love this style of sharing smaller tapas, larger plates, and pastas. The menu focuses on seasonality, and every dish we tried was fresh, flavorful, and paired beautifully with their excellent selection of natural wines. Everything was reasonably priced, including the drinks list, which was a pleasant surprise. The staff were so lovely and made us feel incredibly welcome. Thank you, Jones, for such a memorable night! We can’t wait to return. Highly recommend!

19/09/2024: We were here at the end of the season... and as good Germans, it was way too early (6.30 p.m.... on Google it said open from 6.30 p.m. 😅) but we were warmly welcomed. The burger is very tasty and the service is super nice. And the wine is also excellent. In the season it is better to reserve in advance… overall: highly recommended! Thank you very much 🤩

17/09/2024: 11-day stay at the annex of the Hôtel du Fronton called Hôtel Agian with half board, very beautiful view of the mountains, very comfortable and well equipped room, good bedding, the half board meals are excellent, breakfasts with lots of choice, efficient and helpful staff, well-run establishment by the Bonnet family, very good value for money, I highly recommend.

15/09/2024: Accueil sympathique et repas du jour de très bonne qualité. Ce n'est pas ma première expérience et je n'ai jamais été déçu. Attention, n'hésitez pas à réserver car il y a toujours beaucoup de monde.

04/09/2024: We loved coming for lunch in this restaurant, which has a pleasant terrace, excellent cuisine and superb value for money. But on our last visit the service was appalling. The boss is still so nice but the waitresses still have a lot to learn. On my way to the bathroom, I heard the derogatory comments. We were the table of 2 fat people, not friendly and impatient. However, we were patient and didn't think twice... Too bad we loved coming every year...

08/10/2024: Das Restaurant Santiago gehört zum gleichnamigen Hotel, ist aber auch als nicht Hotelgast nutzbar. Der Speisesaal ist in modernem Ambiente mit hellem Holz gehalten. Die Speisekarte ist nicht sehr gross aber vielfältig. Man merkt, dass hier mit viel Einsatz und Freude gekocht wird. Wir haben den Abend sehr genossen.

18/09/2024: After dinner stop for drinks and light snack. Two glasses of wine for each of us, all different. We were given a taste of each to make sure it was what we wanted. Questioned whether we really wanted sardines, just to make sure ;) Great service and a congenial atmosphere. We enjoyed this place and may stop in again before leaving town.

16/05/2024: I only went to the store and what can I say… A very warm welcome, the products are not just good, but rather excellent. The merchandising is very good. They know their products. The exterior of the store is discreet. The interior is magical. We feel “at home”. The sellers know their products well. It's very nice. I hope to be able to eat there when I have time. You can take any product with your eyes closed, you will not be disappointed! 🙂
