01/09/2026: Le Petit Sabayon — Morangis 91 Having visited several times about two years ago, I was looking forward to returning to Le Petit Sabayon, curious to discover a new menu and a refreshed decor. How disappointed I was… The dining room is pleasant enough, certainly, but it lacks that extra something that makes a place truly special. The setting, while agreeable, fails to create the intimate atmosphere one might expect from a bistronomic establishment. As for the food, the verdict is unfortunately less enthusiastic. The prices, relatively high for this type of restaurant, call for more refined dishes: more depth, more creativity, more contrast, and above all, more personality. The flavors seemed to lack depth, sometimes too bland, where I would have appreciated more tension and character. The portions, too, seemed particularly small considering the bill. Because these days, simply serving a dish in pretty containers isn't enough: the taste must also live up to the presentation. Added to this was the air conditioning, which wasn't working, making the experience somewhat uncomfortable, and the dining room was unfortunately too noisy to offer the hushed atmosphere I so appreciate. Finally, the €14 glass of red wine seemed particularly excessive. These remarks were made openly to the owner. I must nevertheless commend her courtesy: without me even asking, she spontaneously agreed to adjust the bill. A gesture of goodwill that I sincerely appreciated and will remember, allowing me to end this experience on a more palatable note. 31/08/2026: Imagine, they tell you it closes at 8:30 PM, you arrive at 8:17 PM, and the cashier asks his friend if it's still open. The guy begs him to say no (yes, I saw it happen) and then refuses to take my order because his friend turned off the lights before closing time. Basically, it's like you're paying for the gas for people to get to your place... If you don't want to work, take on freelance jobs, but stop bothering those who have worked all day and are taking the time to come to your place. It's no wonder your revenue is dropping every year with the arrival of these fast-food chains if you can't offer a similar level of service.

29/05/2026: Last Wednesday, to my great surprise, I saw two large, traditional-style flans (€21). I thought to myself: strange, they usually only make them on weekends (according to one of the employees I'd seen earlier). Given their very dull appearance and the presence of steam, I didn't dare ask the waitress (a rather rushed woman in her fifties) if they were fresh. When I got home, the taste was off: pronounced acidity and a slightly refrigerated flavor. In my opinion, these pastries were made sometime between Saturday night and Sunday morning and hadn't been sold since. It's one of the first times I've thrown away part of a traditional flan. My opinion of Potier in general, where I've been going occasionally for several years. I've lived in Marcoussis for over 20 years. The pastries are well-made and taste great. Their galette des rois (king cake) is always excellent. As for the bread, especially the "Tradition" loaf, it has never lived up to its predecessor. Service: most of the time, the waiting customer doesn't seem to be a priority, and the tone is unprofessional. I think the counter staff are also responsible for storing the pastries. Conclusion: Mr. Potier makes very good pastries, but his bread is less convincing. However, everything related to customer service is subpar. The person in charge of this aspect seems to confuse customer with user. To top it all off, they give you a card after your purchase, dangling the promise of a trip if you leave a review. 🤦‍♂️

23/08/2026: Takeaway chicken dish for €11.50, the quality is good, the presentation is appreciable. In terms of quantity, it's plentiful, I never managed to finish my meal. This Portuguese restaurant has one of the best value for money top 6. I recommend it to you

05/04/2026: A very nice restaurant with exceptional staff; the waitress and bartender were incredibly kind and professional. The cocktail was excellent, the pizza was good, but I only gave it 3 stars overall because of the lasagna, which was completely classic and overpriced… without that, it would easily have been a 5-star restaurant.

14/08/2026: I regularly go to this brasserie with my colleagues, and we're never disappointed. The daily menu is always interesting and varied, with good options to suit all tastes (veal stew, butcher's cut, lasagna, fish, etc.). Special mention goes to the homemade fries and the fried chicken burger, which I love! The desserts are also very enjoyable, with a nice variety. I especially love the raspberry and strawberry cakes when they're on the menu. I haven't had the chance to try the couscous yet, but it looks absolutely delicious and, above all, very generous. I'll definitely be back! The service is always top-notch: a kind, friendly, and welcoming team. It's a place I happily recommend, and one we return to regularly!
