The restaurant's commitment to local sourcing and supporting local producers should also be highlighted. This is a particularly commendable philosophy, demonstrating a dedication to showcasing local products and the work of local producers. One senses a high level of skill in the kitchen and a genuine respect for the ingredients. However, it perhaps lacks that little touch of originality and creativity that would truly surprise the palate. The flavors are pleasing, but one sometimes wishes to discover slightly more adventurous combinations. With such a focus on ingredients, it would be worthwhile to push the boundaries of creativity even further to highlight their best qualities. The service, on the other hand, is a real success. Attentive, professional, and pleasant, it perfectly complements the meal and greatly contributes to the quality of the experience. A true strength of the establishment. The setting also deserves mention, with a warm and welcoming atmosphere that encourages you to take your time and fully enjoy the moment. In short, a very good place to eat well, with carefully selected products, a commendable commitment to local sourcing, quality service, and a charming setting. Ultimately, it only lacks a touch of culinary flair to transform this excellent experience into a truly memorable one. A quick note regarding my rating: my ratings are always based on the type of establishment, its price point, and the level of service one can legitimately expect. Therefore, I don't judge a brasserie the same way I judge a fine-dining restaurant, but rather each establishment based on its own promises and prices.

23/09/2026: After visiting Maillebois Castle, we went to the restaurant Le Sébastopol. The restaurant has been completely renovated and the decor is tasteful. We received a very warm welcome despite our late arrival. The dishes were excellent, high-quality, and generous. Very good value for money. You won't be disappointed.

19/07/2026: Hello. I recommend the meat dishes and the €26 per person set menu, which includes unlimited starters, main course, dessert, plus two bottles of sparkling water and a non-alcoholic cocktail; it's quite affordable. Parking is limited, or you can park in the side lane.

17/07/2026: I am deeply shocked by what just happened to me. It's 7:30 p.m. on Friday, July 17th. I was enjoying a pleasant time with my family, and we decided to get Starbucks. Unfortunately, this outing was ruined by the cashier's behavior. After I voluntarily gave him the exact change to facilitate the payment, he didn't give me the €10 I was owed. When I pointed out this mistake, he immediately claimed he had given it back. Anxious to avoid any confusion, I emptied my pockets and meticulously checked my wallet in front of him: the €10 simply wasn't there. Despite this, he continued to deny everything, without making a single effort to understand the situation or find a solution. This attitude is profoundly unprofessional. Rather than acknowledging a possible error or simply checking his till, he preferred to question a customer's word. I find this behavior unacceptable and particularly disrespectful. An employee refusing to take responsibility for a possible mistake for fear of internal repercussions should never be to the detriment of the customer. To quote him, "Sir, I'm afraid of receiving a warning." Such an experience is unworthy of a business with this reputation. I leave with a feeling of injustice and profound disappointment. I absolutely do not recommend this establishment and urge future customers to be extremely vigilant at the checkout, or better yet, avoid it altogether.
