14/05/2026: We had a wonderful, magical interlude. A magnificent, gourmet experience of relaxation and escape. The meal and service were perfect. Incredible flavors. We absolutely loved the breakfast: from the presentation to the contents. A charming hotel. Thank you for the thoughtful touch upon our departure: the cake was delicious. What we also greatly appreciated was the luxurious yet comfortable atmosphere. In short, everything was perfect. Thank you.

12/05/2026: What a pleasure this chef's table meal is! It takes you on a seven-course journey, some of them quite surprising, of flavors and perfect pairings between food and wine, with Chef D. Gallienne serving and guiding you from beginning to end. Not exactly cheap, but if you can afford it, I highly recommend it! A year later, I returned: still just as much pleasure and a complete change of scenery. I'm no Michelin Guide expert, but I'm convinced that a second star should be coming soon. Three years later, I returned. The same pleasure, shared with the other guests, with a chef who was more approachable, bringing a touch of humanity that reflected his life experiences.

08/05/2026: A quick lunch stop with colleagues at this establishment near Évreux. A beautiful, spacious farmhouse in a verdant setting. Ample parking nearby makes parking easy. The hostess was incredibly welcoming. The starter, main course, and dessert were all good quality for €16.90. Excellent value for money. Several dishes were available. The service was quick and efficient. A lovely, unpretentious place... I highly recommend it.

08/05/2026: Warm welcome and lovely atmosphere. I was a little disappointed with the so-called black tiger prawns, which were no different from the cheap prawns I buy at Carrefour. The risotto also lacked depth of flavor.

The unusual tableware, perfectly in keeping with the period theme, adds a great deal of charm and enhances the immersive experience. The food is decent and enjoyable, even if it's not the most memorable aspect of the experience. Special mention goes to the gentleman who greets guests with exceptional kindness, attentiveness, and a genuine sense of service. A unique and charming experience to discover.

27/05/2026: You might ask, "Why would I dine at a Japanese restaurant when visiting Vernon?" In our case, we enjoy French food, but need a break now and then. We discovered Fujiyama while exploring Vernon, before our visit to nearby Giverny. We were more than pleasantly surprised. The sushi, sashimi and rolls offered in their "Love Boat" offering for two was fresh, fabulous and extremely reasonable by US standards. We even got a bottle of decent French white wine for 15 Euros.The other options on the menu looked awesome, too. Be aware that this is not a fancy place by any means. There is comfortable seating and the service was fine. However, the vast majority of their business is take-out, with a steady stream of locals, who seem to know a great deal when they see one.

07/05/2026: An impatient waiter who didn't give us time to choose our drinks. As a result, one of us ended up with something we didn't want. Simply so the waiter could get back to chatting at the bar. (Honestly, unprofessional)

14/05/2026: Very generous portions. Efficient service. A great find. We often drove past it, and it was usually very crowded inside. We don't regret stopping this time.

11/05/2026: We tried it again last night after a 3-year hiatus and were pleasantly surprised! The couscous was so good, the meat excellent, flavorful, and tender, as were the fine semolina and vegetables. A real treat! I highly recommend it. See you soon! (3 years ago) Average couscous, bland, greasy lamb skewer, rather disappointed given the number of positive reviews! Change of chef? Pleasant and smiling staff! Also, a tendency to group people together (lack of privacy). I'm adding a comment to the one I posted 3 years ago. I'm adding another star for tonight. We sat on the street side, which was more intimate than in the dining room. The vegetables and semolina were tasty (we were looking for the chickpeas), the meats were served roughly, a thick lamb chop, a thick piece of beef, and the chicken and merguez were okay. I was expecting more of a lamb skewer or neck. Friendly waitress, smiling owner, but nothing particularly warm either. Plate of oriental pastries: 3 gazelle horns.

21/05/2026: No complaints about the food, however, the service was poor. The waitress brought the dish and handed it to you, but the plate was scalding hot. I think when you go to a restaurant, you expect to be served, so she should put the plate on the table.

02/05/2026: Really nice bar, my partner and I had a great time on the terrace and the prices are reasonable. Honestly, I'll be back and I recommend it to everyone I know... very friendly waiters, just a little smiley (lol)... it's a shame there isn't much parking, that's the only downside.
