11/12/2025: A Chalet in the Mountains! We had a wonderful evening in this unique chalet belonging to L’Atelier de Jacques in Saint-Aubin-sur-Gaillon. (Nope! We're not actually in the mountains!). The setting is truly original; we felt like we were in the mountains, gathered around a fireplace that doubled as a barbecue, like a real fire pit. This experience was made possible thanks to my daughter, who entered a contest organized by L’Atelier de Jacques and won this meal for the whole family (6 people). The meal was delicious, and the staff were very accommodating to our dietary requirements. The wine, especially the champagne served as an aperitif, was excellent. We felt like we were the only ones there, which made the experience even more enjoyable. I highly recommend this enchanting getaway, whether with family or friends. The staff was exceptionally kind. A big thank you to L’Atelier de Jacques!

10/12/2025: Perfect! We had a meal with a Smartbox voucher, the interior is truly superb, the staff very friendly, and the owner even came to greet us at our table – it was fantastic. And the food was absolutely excellent and affordable. We'll definitely be back.

17/01/2025: September 2020: Pleasant place, quiet terrace, the dishes are homemade (a big plus for the Fish & Chips - good portion and delicious), I loooooved the Camembert croquettes. Impeccable service, the waiters are smiling and attentive to customers. There is a very large whiskey and wine list, over 100 choices. Go ahead without any problem. January 2024: What a pleasure to return to this restaurant. It's once again flawless, welcome, cuisine, setting,... everything is perfect. I tell you again... GO FOR IT! Another good time with friends and for our taste buds, with home cooking.

23/09/2024: Being from the region I knew it was a good address, currently living in Haute-Savoie we made the trip to come and celebrate our daughter's birthday. We were not disappointed, from starter to dessert everything was very good. I think this restaurant is the best address in the Gisors region.

16/12/2024: Une très belle soirée que nous avons passée là! Ouverture en fanfare avec une très large carte des whiskies et des mises en bouche généreuses et prometteuses! Entrées (Ris de veau aux pleurotes) et plat (Saint-Jacques snakées parfaites) dégustés avec appétit. Desserts délicats et pas trop sucrés. Service impeccable (presque un brin trop rapide!) L'endroit ne paie peut-être pas de mine - mais, poussez la porte : quelle belle découverte! Nous avons déjà prévu d'y retourner ! Un grand merci et à très vite!

06/12/2024: Un jeune couple expérimenté propose dans cette auberge qui ne paie pas de mine une vraie cuisine gastronomique parfaitement réalisée. Une tatin d'endives absolument étonnante, la cuisson très réussie préserve suffisamment de craquant pour se marier avec la douceur onctueuse d'une belle crème normande bien épaisse et savoureuse, le tout relevé par le subtil agacement d'un caviar osciètre qui titille les papilles. Une belle cote de veau magnifiquement cuite, copieuse, gouteuse et juteuse à souhait, avec une courge spaghetti cuite en croute de sel et travaillée façon carbonara à tomber. Une belle carte des vins, beaucoup de gentillesse et de spontanéité, une créativité assumée font de ce lieu une adresse à pratiquer et à surveiller, ce chef ira certainement loin.

03/10/2024: La Grand Mare, recently taken over by new owners, is a superb discovery. The seasonal cuisine prepared in the charcoal oven is tasty and showcases the products perfectly. Whether you are a lover of meat or more refined dishes, the menu will delight you. The setting is warm and friendly, ideal for a good time with friends or family. The welcome is also very pleasant, with attentive staff. An address that I highly recommend!

30/09/2024: If Rome was not built in a day, the current owners of this hotel restaurant resurrected it in two months. In a building that is not lacking in style, the rooms have been almost completely redone, tastefully and using quality materials; a special mention for the quality of the bedding. Certain points can certainly be improved and they are aware of this. However, don't forget to dust off the headboards 👍. Regarding the restaurant which benefits from two superb rooms; you can only be happy to eat there: a short menu guaranteeing "homemade" combining the quality of the products with the know-how of the cooks combined with the "knowledge" of the staff in the dining rooms, it is more than remarkable with such a short operating time and a young team. The numerous presence of a local clientele is the best guarantee of this. Breakfast is the exception that proves the rule: here, no frozen croissants and other anemic pain au chocolat: everything is fresh and plentiful. The icing on the cake, all this for low prices. A word of advice; Travelers don't hesitate for a second to stop there, it's nothing but happiness.

18/11/2025: I used the Bistro's catering services. They provided a delicious paella for a birthday party with 40 guests. The organization was efficient and professional, and we were even able to modify our order after booking without any issues. I highly recommend them.
