22/04/2026: While visiting the city of Carcassonne on Wednesday, April 22nd, we had dinner at this restaurant. The menu was short but the food was homemade and very good... Kudos to the owner and the team in general. I highly recommend this restaurant because there are also many tourist traps in the city. Go without hesitation.

17/05/2026: Fantastic restaurant on Friday! Small inside, simple, but absolutely delicious!!! The appetizers, especially the pan-fried mushrooms, were excellent!!! The snails and the duck breast salad were also great. For the main courses, the chicken, the duck leg, and the fish were all delicious! And a wonderful dessert to finish. The children ate everything too. Thank you for your warm welcome! And for your bravery with all the people on the terrace despite the rain and wind 😅🌞

04/05/2026: Small restaurant with several menus, we chose the €25 menu and we really enjoyed it. There were four of us without a reservation and the service was excellent. I highly recommend it.

13/05/2026: Tourist trap??? Ordinary food. We ordered the €21 set menu; the gizzard salad was quite decent. The sirloin steak was served medium-rare, but when we told the waitress, she was surprised and said it was too late—she couldn't do anything. Even when we took our order, she didn't know how to use her computer. In short, very disappointed.

07/05/2026: Very nice food . Had the plate du jour. Good value, friendly staff who didn't laugh at my attempts to speak french. Would recommend.

17/05/2026: This restaurant was a huge disappointment. We were looking for a place that wasn't a tourist trap, and we missed the mark. The food was ordinary and rather bland. The cassoulet was decent, and the desserts were quite good. The welcome was cold. In short, it's not a place where you feel any desire to pamper and delight a customer. Just to feed them. I'm giving it 3 stars because it fulfilled its basic requirements, but we had hoped for better.

16/05/2026: At first, I thought I was in a hidden camera kitchen nightmare before realizing Philippe Etchebest was never going to show up! It took an hour to be served, even though the dishes were right next to us in a fridge and just needed reheating! In short, I strongly advise against this restaurant. It would have closed down a long time ago if it weren't in a tourist area!

04/05/2026: We had a lovely tasting menu and a lovely bottle of local Fitou. Food and service were exceptional! Only minor criticism would be that it is quite a sterile room with functional tables and table cloths.

28/04/2026: My husband and I had this lunch set. It was three courses, a glass of red and white wine, a large bottle of coffee and sparkling water, all for only €55 per person – an absolute steal! You need to allow about 1.5 hours to finish the set, so don't choose this place if you're in a rush. Also, the menu changes seasonally and includes in-season dishes, so be sure to check the menu on their website before making a reservation, and remember to book in advance. The food quality is high, the atmosphere is excellent, and the staff are professional, polite, and efficient. I highly recommend it for couples; most importantly, the food quality is truly exceptional for this price.

26/04/2026: Very disappointed. We had a reservation for 1 p.m. The staff offered us an aperitif. We asked to have it on the terrace, which was refused because, according to them, it was a late hour. The food was decent but basic. There was no originality in the dishes. The appetizers were too salty, the bread wasn't fresh, and the cheese platter consisted of only three small pieces without any choice. There was no cheese trolley; the staff imposed the three small pieces of cheese on us. The biggest disappointment was the wine. The staff offered us a glass of white wine, which arrived warm. When we pointed this out, they offered us ice cubes, explaining that they were out of chilled wine. When we insisted and asked for another glass, they finally offered us a glass of a different grape variety, which arrived chilled. The wines were not well-matched to the dishes offered. It's a shame. The setting is very pretty. We were able to drink our coffees outside, which was very pleasant. The outdoor area has a lovely view and is very quiet and relaxing. The setting is a plus, but the rest is just average. They have a shuttle service that picks you up from the parking lot.

16/04/2026: A well-known restaurant on Place Carnot, with a solid reputation. I've been to this place several times and have generally never been disappointed. A safe bet if you're looking for a place without any unpleasant surprises, offering good value for money. The sunny terrace is truly lovely when the weather permits. On some visits, there may be slight variations, whether in the service or the cooking. But overall, a reliable place that I recommend.

06/04/2026: We had the three course plat du jour and all three courses were delicious. The starter salads were generous portions and very nice. Between us we ordered the lasagne, fish and duck for main and they were all lovely. The Nutella brioche for desert is divine! Service was quick as we arrived later for lunch and they wanted to close so were hurrying us out. Other than that it was a delicious meal and I'd return if I was in Carcassonne again.

07/05/2026: A fantastic find in Carcassonne! The staff were incredibly friendly, and we had no trouble communicating in English. The restaurant itself is incredibly charming and offers a wide selection of affordable local French dishes on its daily menu. The food was fantastic: the portions were generous and absolutely delicious. We had the quiche as a starter and the ham with peppercorn sauce as a main course – both highly recommended! It came with fresh baguette and fries. All in all, a truly wonderful and delicious experience. A little insider tip: The nearby parking spaces in the shade of the trees are free from 12:00 to 2:00 pm. The only minor drawback: the restrooms are quite small and somewhat dimly lit. However, this hardly detracted from the overall experience. Highly recommended!
