09/08/2026: Very Nice B&B with a most charming host who knows a lot about (local) wine and ancient, original food. It was a pleasure to have diner which includes lovely explanation on the food and the wine. A recommendation for sure.

30/06/2026: A perfect welcome, a warm atmosphere, you feel right at home. Exceptional food and wine (birthday celebration with 20 people). A wonderful time in a peaceful setting that transports you to another era! Highly recommended.

28/08/2026: A small restaurant with a terrace almost entirely shaded by trees, very pleasant in summer. There was virtually no wait between courses, and the servers were very friendly. Excellent cuisine featuring local products and specialties! Highly recommended!! 🥰

25/08/2026: A very pleasant restaurant under the trees, a decent €23 set menu (starter/main/dessert), it's just a shame the cassoulet had so little sauce, and that our friends found a hair or a stray hair somewhere in their cassoulet or dessert. No small gesture of goodwill, which was a bit of a shame...

21/08/2026: We had a wonderful meal, the staff were fantastic and very attentive. A nice bonus was the upstairs seating with a view of the city walls. We will definitely return and highly recommend this restaurant.

26/08/2026: I can only give this father-and-son run restaurant 5 stars. I highly recommend it because we had a wonderful meal. We stumbled upon it by chance, but I couldn't have hoped for better. The entire staff was incredibly kind, and the food was of amazing quality. I'm posting some photos and I'll let you be the judge, but I assure you it's even better in person!

22/08/2026: Absolutely incredible. It's "divine"... Be careful with the portions: the owner assured me they like to fill them up and give pleasure. Mission accomplished... And I swear we're not friends. Second visit in August, no surprises, quality and quantities were as promised, and finally a proper cassoulet... At last!

22/08/2026: Avoid at all costs, a tourist trap! A €36 set menu: salad with four pieces of duck breast and, worst of all, THE CASSOULET: a single piece of sausage, the bacon nowhere to be seen, and the duck only half a leg. A disgrace!

20/08/2026: The food is delicious, the servers are very friendly, and the atmosphere is very pleasant; I recommend it.

16/08/2026: The service was too slow, and the fish wasn't cooked enough. (Very expensive). I had to call the waiter several times just to get a single scoop of ice cream.

31/08/2026: How to put it? A glass of white wine without knowing what you're drinking: definitely plonk. A bitter Martini because the lemon wasn't rinsed. No olives or peanuts because people are sheep who, if you give them one, want the other (according to the owner!). So, they get nothing. Why bother trying, boomers!

The food was of exceptional quality, and the service was flawless. Special mention goes to Mohamed Ali, a truly delightful person who guided us through our meal with style and warmth. We thank him for his kindness and passion for his craft, which was evident throughout. We were pleasantly surprised by this exceptional experience.

16/08/2026: We often eat at Crescendo. We enjoy the atmosphere and the friendliness of the staff, but today I was impressed by the speed and cleanliness of a new employee (well, I think she's new because I never noticed her in the restaurant). As soon as people left their tables, she came to clean up. The carts of dirty dishes didn't stay long in the dining room. In short, I was impressed by this employee's efficiency during my meal, which was, as always, excellent. Thank you to the whole team!

17/08/2026: The first time, we booked and arrived before eight, everything was fine; the second time, at nine thirty, they turned us away. It's not allowed. The square is surrounded by other places, and we were spoiled for choice the next evening. But it's not allowed.

13/08/2026: A warm welcome, excellent service, and we thoroughly enjoyed the truffle burger and the sliced ​​duck—I even forgot to take pictures! Passing through Carcassonne, I highly recommend this establishment.

26/08/2026: In Carcassonne, we discovered a curious phenomenon: at nine o'clock in the evening, finding a restaurant open seems to require prefectural authorization, while at nine in the morning, La Briocherie Arpin is already there, open and ready to save you from hunger. For this alone, it deserves a civic award. And luckily we went in, because the breakfast was truly excellent. The croissant was exactly as a French croissant should be: fragrant, buttery, and with that flaky crust that immediately puts any dietary plan to rest. Even better was the large cream-filled cake you see in the photo: soft, generous, and dangerously easy to finish. Even the cappuccinos did their job admirably. The quality, after all, doesn't seem to have been a lucky coincidence: La Briocherie has very good ratings and is often praised for its pastries, pastries, and breakfasts. And then there's the staff. And it's here that La Briocherie Arpin succeeds in an almost scientific gastronomic experiment: demonstrating that the amount of sugar in pastries has no correlation with the sweetness of the person serving them. Our experience was indeed characterized by a level of friendliness that we could prudently define as close to absolute zero. Nothing serious, of course: we were served and ate very well. But a few more smiles wouldn't have compromised production or caused the collapse of the French economy. The funny thing is that many reviews describe a very warm welcome, so perhaps we simply happened upon a particular astral conjunction where the croissants were perfectly leavened and the good mood a little less so. It remains a breakfast I would make again without hesitation. Also because in a city capable of going to bed earlier than us and waking up later than us, finding a pastry shop open at nine in the morning, right on Place Carnot, with such delicious pastries is already a small miracle. Four stars: five for the pastry, three for the human temperature. Fortunately, the butter saves the average.
