07/09/2024: Great discovery not knowing the address beforehand but they recommended it to us. Fine dishes, a real delight, this inn in the heart of Wantzenau really deserves to be discovered, it’s a very good restaurant.

27/01/2025: Family meal in this place that we have known for many years. The cuisine is no longer the same although it is good. It’s a shame not to use Alsatian tableware for this emblematic place in Strasbourg.

11/12/2025: One hour to get onion soup by the second course... Royco style. Main course and dessert were average.

10/12/2025: A very bad experience at this restaurant. The starter was overpriced (€14.50 for a 4cm slice of onion tart), followed by a cold main course. After the waiter spilled the starter on our table, we had to wait another 15 to 20 minutes. When we were leaving and commented on the price, given the small size of the starter, the waiter replied that he didn't know what had happened in the kitchen and then handed us the card without offering any explanation or compensation. I absolutely do not recommend this restaurant and I will never set foot in it again.

01/12/2024: An excellent tarte flambée (mushroom gratin) which we enjoyed! Special mention for Chloé, an adorable waitress, whose kindness contrasts pleasantly with certain receptions that are sometimes a little cold in Alsace! The glowing reindeer in the corner adds a truly charming decorative touch. THANKS :)

16/12/2024: Trés bel endroit. Un restaurant proche de la gare, qui a du succés, il était presque complet. Un bon accueil et un service impeccable dans un établissement à la décoration typiquement alsacienne.

04/07/2025: Honestly, great meal, very good service, nothing to complain about there. On the other hand, a little disappointed with the terrace: the table right next to us chained cigarettes non-stop, and since we are not smokers, it spoiled the moment a little and filled the terrace with smoke. Too bad, because without that it would have been great.. But hey it's a shame to think that you can't enjoy the terrace if you don't smoke and the terrace isn't non-smoking.

01/07/2025: Amazing food, I got the steak, amazing service too! Not terribly pricey for insanely good food! If I lived in Strasbourg, I'd come here as often as I could.

18/12/2024: Service is really good, place is cosy and warm but food wise not the best place in town. Yes the food is alright good but quantity wise it's a bit lacking for the price and type of plate you order (except maybe for the salad that seemed huge). Order a Tarte flambée or salad and you'll be fine. For baeckeoffe or choucroute I think there are better addresses to go to (if you want value / taste for money).

10/12/2024: Le Blue Flamingo a répondu à toutes nos attentes, repas de Noël pour 17 personnes aussi bien exécuté qu´un dîner pour 4, accueil toujours chaleureux et attentionné, cuisine créative et savoureuse. Un grand merci à toute l´équipe pour cette très belle soirée.

09/12/2024: Restaurant conseillé par des amis, nous n'avons pas été déçus ! J'avais réservé pour faire une surprise à ma mère pour son anniversaire et nous avons pu le fêter comme il se doit. Des cocktails délicieux, des plats qui le sont tout autant, et des serveurs à l'écoute et très sympathiques ! Ils ont même été super, avec bougie pour le dessert. Je recommande fortement ce lieu, pour bien manger de façon originale au fil de l'eau.

02/10/2024: Very warm welcome, delicious food, friendly staff. We went 2 times and both times in the evening there were a lot of people, locals, I think this is a sign of quality. On the first evening, we ordered the same thing as the girl sitting at the next table; she ate cheese and potatoes with such pleasure that we couldn’t resist and took it too. And the next evening, memories of cheese and potatoes and delicious fresh beer did not allow us to go to bed peacefully until we went to this restaurant again. And what a delicate creme brulee cannot be described in words, perfect in texture, sweetness and fat content.

02/10/2024: On this rainy day in Strasbourg, we decided to eat a choucroute at Le Tire-Bouchon and we did well! The food is very good, the service is friendly and the setting is very pleasant. After the very good sauerkraut, we had a baba kouuelhopf with rum, a delight in every bite! We recommend this winstub without hesitation 👍
