14/08/2024: We were not greeted when we arrived. We waited for some time without any staff members coming to meet us, although several passed by us. So we decided to leave. It's really a shame.

05/08/2024: Très bon accueil, très bon repas et des serveurs très gentils et serviables. A recommander sans hésiter pour passer un agréable moment.

03/09/2024: If you like garlic, Sarladaise potatoes, porcini mushrooms and sweetbreads, this house is worth the detour. I recommend without reservation.

27/08/2024: On vous annonce un menu à 20 € entrée plat dessert au choix j’ai pris un pauvre steak frites une glace et une canette de Perrier 25 €. Le Perrier lui seul 5 € c’est regrettable de prendre les gens pour des Américains. La dame a l’air d’apprécier son métier, mais le Monsieur Pense surtout à faire la note. Mal men a pris j’aurais dû voir tous les commentaires avant de pousser la porte. Après il y avait personne dans le restaurant je comprends maintenant. Pourquoi. Le travail de restaurateur se fait sur le long terme et non à court terme….

27/08/2024: With all the good will in the world and because I know the restaurant business, owners really need to question themselves. We came confident, we made the effort to stay until the end because we were with children and agreed to pay an unjustified bill but quite honestly what we received on our plates should be controlled. There would be several hygiene and regulatory remarks to review before an accident occurs. Please, for your safety and that of your customers, bring in a restoration professional to give you a fresh start.

21/09/2024: We had lunch with 5 people. Chanterelle mushroom omelette to avoid. Very bland, tasteless mushrooms saturated with water. Pleasant and efficient servers.

03/09/2024: Stopped for a light lunch. Lovely welcome, quickly seated despite it being quite busy. We both enjoyed the flavoursome house pate followed by cheese omelette & a delicious bavette.

12/09/2024: Nous sommes revenus malgré une première expérience décevante. L'attente avant la commande, pendant le repas entre chaque plat , le service complètement désorganisé bien que 2 jeunes serveurs aient transgressé la règle "je sers mais ne prend pas les commandes..."sinon nous serions restés 3 heures1/2 à table. La nourriture était correcte mais les portions inégales si 3 convives prenaient le même plat. Personnel débordé pas de sourire pas de suivi des plats même pas à la caisse. Le pompon c'est lorsqu'on voit apposé sur le mur d'entrée l'adoubement par Gault et Millau de table gourmande. Qui est venu visiter cet établissement ? Nous n'étions pas les seuls mécontents. En tout cas nous ne reviendrons plus.

26/08/2024: A lovely little place in a very nice location. We had some pizzas which were lovely, other members had other food which was very homely. I would like to give mention to the young lady who served us she helped me with an issue and did so with a smile. She was very friendly and attentive.

25/05/2024: This restaurant is closed. Be careful, because you can still book online and find yourself in front of the closed door. Suggestion: just opposite, Tamaris restaurant, good windows.

05/07/2024: Worst food I’ve ever eaten sent the steaks back as so cold and raw we couldn’t eat it I asked for medium and it wasn’t even cooked when asking to cook it more was met with a not happy server when the food came out the second time it was still inedible would not recommend

21/06/2024: Fantastic food that is great value for money. We tried various items as a group, and the food was delicious and very reasonably priced. We dined as a large group and went for a set menu choice, one of our group could not believe the quality of food we received for the price paid. Genuinely a lovely place to visit, with amazing owners Carol & Dave. You can tell they put their heart and soul into ensuring everyone who visits La Charrue has the best time. Perfect food, perfect place and perfect hosts! If you haven’t been, make sure to add it to your list!!! Thank you so much Carol and Dave, we will be back xxx

29/09/2024: Nous nous sommes arrêtés devant ce resto par hasard et n’avons pas été déçus . Le menu à 29 euros était très bon et tres copieux . Nous avons passé un bon moment et le personnel était accueillant. Merci beaucoup et à bientôt .

09/08/2024: We had lunch on August 8 in this place. No presentation of the dishes, I had taken a piece of the 160g bouché they forgot the 100g. Tasteless or floating green beans, time for fresh green beans! Following the server's request we gave him our feedback. The waiter was a shame that he had to serve tasteless dishes. Another table got yelled at because she said the same thing as us. Where are we going? I thought we respected customers, we have to change jobs and chefs because it’s nothing else. I do better in the kitchen.

04/08/2024: Passage to Nontron, for the knife festival, I put one star not being able to put less. Just pathetic... There are four of us, and we take the menu at €25 per person. Waiting, more than half an hour for our drinks to be ordered. But we don't take our menus at the same time. We wait again to be asked what we are going to eat. Two starters of your choice, two main courses of your choice, two desserts of your choice or two salads. I would like to have three scoops of ice cream for my dessert, rather than two, they refuse me, saying that it will disrupt the organization of the kitchen. Bourata tomatoes, I'll let you form your opinion with the photo. After 1h30, we received our dishes of potatoes and confit duck legs, everything was cold. As a result of this visit to the restaurant, we left without eating and ended up with a merguez sandwich. adventure bill €69.90. They ended up making a gesture of €20.

02/07/2024: Decent hotel, although the lawn in front of the swimming pool is not mowed, and no one is there to swim on the terrace. On the other hand, the restaurant is a disaster. 169 euros for 2 for a salmon carpaccio, without salmon. A salad for 24 euros with 3 gizzards, bad foie gras on soft bread, and a tasteless sauce, not to mention the 5 small pieces of pdt cooked in water. Finally a confit which is not a confit but a classic duck leg accompanied by very bad vegetables, including a grainy broccoli puree. The restaurant advertises master restaurateur but when we approach the plate, we discover that it was in 2016. Avoid urgently. I would like to point out that this is the first time we have left such a comment on a restaurant.
