19/04/2026: The cuisine was refined, we ate very well. However, there were no amuse-bouches or appetizers. No petits fours with the coffee; the coffee was served alone with a single sugar cube. The worst part was the portion size: 50-70 grams of veal, the same for the fish, for a €56 menu. This seemed unacceptable to us. We will not be returning.

16/04/2026: A wonderful discovery, not far from Montélimar. We had a romantic dinner there. We opted for the €70 set menu (starter, fish, meat, and dessert). We thoroughly enjoyed it! The welcome and service were perfect. The dining room was lovely. The atmosphere was wonderful! I highly recommend it!

01/05/2026: Superb, very clean hotel with cozy rooms and friendly, attentive staff. The best part is the fantastic restaurant with an outdoor terrace "under the pine trees" overlooking a beautiful pool, perfect for enjoying a relaxing meal.

29/03/2026: We ate here on Valentine's Day for a champagne dinner. The dishes were superb. We enjoyed a wonderful meal, all accompanied by free-flowing champagne. The welcome was warm and friendly. The decor is fantastic, in a historic building in the center of Valence.

25/03/2026: A lovely place near Romans, in a renovated farmhouse. The room was clean and the meals were very respectable, refined, and homemade.

26/02/2026: One of the best restaurants around Romans-sur-Isère. While the price is admittedly a bit high (set menus around €40 or €50), it's more than justified. A sure bet with excellent quality dishes. No frozen food here! Everything is homemade! A real treat! Quiet and in a truly lovely and peaceful setting. And in the summer, the terrace overlooking the banks of the Isère is fantastic!

21/03/2026: We ate lunch there this Saturday, and everything was delicious—the food was excellent. The portions were truly generous, from appetizer to dessert! I had trouble finishing, but it was a really lovely experience. The welcome and service were just as good as the food; the staff were smiling, helpful, and pleasant. A high chair was provided for our daughter, and the dining room was spacious enough for her to play with between courses. Just remember to book in advance, as this place is very popular!

22/03/2026: A mixed experience. I'd never eaten in a restaurant without knowing the menu beforehand. The sea bass and the praline cigar dessert were very good, but the rest was less so. The service between courses was too slow. I didn't appreciate the wine pairing!

23/02/2026: We celebrated our wedding on February 21st, and the team at La Détente provided wonderful support throughout the planning process and, of course, on the big day! Their service and food were incredibly generous and kind. This experience will remain a very fond memory. We will definitely return to this beautiful establishment!

29/03/2026: We had a wonderful time at this restaurant. The dishes were original, beautifully presented, and delicious. We opted for the €48 set menu, which was excellent value for money. I particularly recommend the lentil and blue cheese soup, the Arctic char, and the citrus mille-feuille. The service was friendly and efficient. The dining room is pleasant and attractively decorated; the wall displaying photos of Allex from bygone days is particularly noteworthy and very interesting. We followed our meal with a stroll through the old village. In short, a complete success.

06/04/2026: This restaurant has no soul, neither the place nor the food. A pseudo-Asian salad, supposedly because the chef added two defrosted and fried spring rolls to a bag of salad. Basic dressing (a little sesame oil, soy sauce, and industrial sweet and sour sauce) and sold for €11. A rip-off! The main course was a poor-quality beef steak, tough and bland. Boiled vegetables for €25, enough already! And a sauce that was just about acceptable in terms of texture but unfortunately rather tasteless. I sensed no passion in these dishes. For me, being a "Chef" means wanting to please customers by cooking and sharing one's expertise. This restaurant does not represent these values. Everything is depressing: the place, the atmosphere, and the food. The only redeeming feature of this restaurant is the young waitress, who was particularly pleasant and very smiley. A huge disappointment regarding the food. A blatant lack of effort in the kitchen. A real shame. I certainly don't recommend this place; it's completely uninteresting!

28/04/2026: Amazing pizzas, just like in Italy! A young couple has taken over the restaurant. The owner speaks Dutch. Top-notch staff, nice ambiance, and located in the charming city center. We went there for dinner two evenings in a row, with a nice bottle of wine. Highly recommended!

17/04/2026: Enjoying the terrace in the shade of an old plane tree, even in April, is a real treat. Arriving at the end of service, we were still greeted with a big smile. We headed straight for the daily specials, bursting with flavor, paired with a nice glass of red wine (Chapoutier). Mmm, I finished with a homemade dessert: strawberry tarts, perfectly crisp with a wonderful taste of seasonal strawberries. In short, as you can see, a little gem on our holiday road trip.
