29/07/2024: Ayant réservé pour déjeuner en semaine, quelle ne fut pas notre déception, à notre arrivée, de nous entendre dire que le restaurant était fermé les midis et que la réservation avait été inscrite à la Ferme Chapouton. Nous pouvons comprendre que les difficultés auxquelles la restauration est confrontée puissent engendrer des fermetures inopinées mais, surtout de la part d'un établissement de cette gamme, nous nous serions attendus à un message nous proposant de déplacer la réservation ou, à tout le moins, un coup de fil nous prévenant, à l'avance, que notre repas aurait lieu dans un autre établissement...

02/09/2024: Awesome !!. We found ourselves at 7:45 p.m. without any restaurant open near Hauterives. We called La Châtaigneraie, about 17km away for a 20-minute drive. We were told no worries. And frankly it's worth the detour. The welcome is very friendly and warm from the waiter and the owner. The setting is pleasant and we ate really well for a very reasonable price. Don’t hesitate to climb up to eat in this very friendly place 👍😉

The dishes are very good! We feel that chef Paul is passionate about cooking.
What can we say about the servers Théo, Noha and Jeremy who are attentive and full of humor!!!
Family restaurant where it's nice to take a break, even just for a dessert or a drink. The setting is very pleasant.

Cozy, quiet and comfortable room.
But the divine surprise is the table: refined, subtle, colorful and generous.

20/09/2024: A regular customer at this restaurant, this time the cooking of the meat was not as requested so that it was very difficult to eat. It can happen. I warned Léa and ate it anyway because firstly I don't like to throw it away and secondly I didn't have the time. I would have liked a little gesture for the note. Everyone would have been there, a free dessert for the customer and avoid having to make another €18 bib for the restaurant. Too bad😊

08/09/2024: Allergic to animal milks as well as gluten, I was made to feel wonderfully welcome. We had booked a few days before, specifying allergies and when we arrived on the day, everything was planned so that my meal went well.

07/07/2024: Il y a fort longtemps que je n'avais pas aussi bien mangé au restaurant. Un dressage magnifique et des saveurs tranchées, pour un rapport qualité/prix imbattable.
Entrée, plat, un fromage pour deux, dessert, 50cl de vin et un café pour 44€ à deux, avec un accueil et un service souriant et attentionné !
04/06/2024: Nous étions pour la deuxième fois pour le déjeuner dans ce restaurant que nous apprécions beaucoup. L'accueil est chaleureux et les salles agréables et la formule du midi est de grande qualité : chaque plat, très élaboré, est un plaisir pour les yeux et pour les papilles. Un grand bravo !

Very well received, we particularly appreciated the refined cuisine, usually this type of restaurant displays high prices and some others have the same addition for significantly lower quality.
I highly recommend!

18/07/2024: Vraiment une très bonne table, les présentations sont très recherchées et les saveurs explosent en bouche, un régal pour les yeux et les papilles.
Je ne mets pas 5 étoiles car le chef détonne un peu, il n'est pas à la hauteur de ce bel établissement (expression, tenue, prestance ...).

A small downside on the charcuterie plate, well presented but lacking in quantity, half a thin slice of Mortadella, a small half slice of white ham and a small half slice of raw ham, it's really very little, a few slices of sausage or a little pâté would have been desirable.
The mini Caesar salad is good, but really mini.
For the rest, the homemade Burger is very good and very filling.
The rump steak heart is a little tough.
The correct trout fillet.
The desserts are very good.
But overall for the price, it's a bit fair.

On site (my experience): Beautiful room/air conditioning/TV/...Jacuzzi on request and reservation with a view😁😁...And a great breakfast with Paul who offers us a wealth of delights😋😋 (not had need yum until the evening🤣🤣)
