28/02/2026: The fries were what you'd expect. The waitresses were too intrusive. There was no privacy to talk to. I don't recommend it.

30/04/2026: I'm very surprised by the positive reviews for this restaurant, as my experience was extremely disappointing. For our starter, we ordered a tomato and mozzarella salad with pesto verde sauce… but the dish arrived without mozzarella or sauce, just a few tomato slices. For the main course, the fish and chips was served without fries, which were replaced by a very salty and frankly unpleasant carrot purée. The other dish was a rare, sinewy veal Milanese. It was accompanied by dry, plain spaghetti that seemed to have been reheated several times in the microwave. I won't even mention the dessert: a completely bland, uninteresting cheesecake. A real disappointment from start to finish.

24/04/2026: I called to reserve a table for two and simply asked about the daily special before coming. It seemed like a simple question. The waitress couldn't answer me, put me on hold, and then told me she was busy with her shift. I understand it might be busy, but I couldn't get even the most basic information to decide whether to come. It's a shame, because I would have liked to check out the restaurant, but ultimately, this didn't give me the opportunity to go.

02/12/2025: A very good family meal after visiting the museum. Unfortunately, the dish we chose was no longer available, but the replacement was very good. Excellent service.

13/11/2025: The dining room was lovely, but the waitress didn't take orders in the order they were received, so there was a wait at the start. The chicken and mushroom fusilli was quite good, although the mushrooms seemed to be frozen. The portion was rather small for pasta. The "café gourmand" was disappointing: a very dry chocolate cake with only three small pieces of fruit on top. Just fruit would have been better. The coffee wasn't good either. Overall, the experience could have been much better!

30/05/2026: We had a wonderful time at Hippopotamus. The food was excellent, but what truly made the difference was the exceptional service we received. A huge thank you to M****l, a truly outstanding waiter! Professional, smiling, attentive, and incredibly kind. The kind of welcome you rarely see these days, with a genuine desire to please and ensure everything runs smoothly from start to finish. It's thanks to people like him that we want to come back. Well done to the entire team, and a special mention to M****l for his remarkable service. I highly recommend it! ⭐️👏😊

12/05/2026: A very pleasant experience having lunch at this restaurant today. The food was plentiful and delicious, and the staff were very friendly and welcoming. It's a shame it's only open during the week and for lunch until 2 pm. I highly recommend this establishment!

28/02/2026: The hazelnut spreads and cookies are absolutely delicious. As for the bread, unlike other bakeries I've been to, it's still good the next day, even without going stale :) So yes, it's a bit more expensive, but the taste and quality are definitely there.
