22/02/2026: My wife and I had dinner there for Valentine's Day and were pleasantly surprised by the menu and the price. The menu was refined, featuring quality ingredients, and the wine list offered a good variety with very reasonable prices by the glass or bottle. The dining room was lovely, a blend of old and new, with excellent service. There was ample outdoor parking, all within a beautiful setting. We were very happy with our discovery and will definitely be back soon.

26/04/2026: Denied entry yesterday afternoon for a drink on the terrace. Reason: inappropriate footwear according to the establishment's dress code. Specifically: Birkenstock-style sandals. You be the judge of the justification!

13/05/2026: This is a wonderful small hotel in the heart of the walled city. We were cycling and needed a last minute place to stay overnight before a very early ferry the next morning. The proprietors were fantastic-accommodating us. Our bikes, and our very early departure. Highly recommended.

04/05/2026: The food was excellent. The real highlight, however, is the enormous cakes in the refrigerated display case. They alone are worth a visit. Ideally, you might even spot a guest devouring a 20 cm high slice of cake.

From the moment you walk in, you can tell you're in a place that truly cares about its customers. The welcome is warm without being stuffy—exactly what you expect from a great restaurant. The menu is well-crafted, the ingredients are fresh, and you can see that the cooking is done with passion. Each dish is beautifully presented, and the flavors are spot on. A real pleasure from start to finish. The value for money is frankly excellent for this level of cuisine; you leave feeling satisfied. The atmosphere is perfect for a romantic meal or a get-together with friends who want to have a great time. I highly recommend Le Petit Pressoir to anyone looking for a good restaurant in Vitré or the surrounding area. Thank you both! 😊

12/05/2026: Intrigued by the location, we stopped for an aperitif. We ordered the assortment of seafood spreads, which arrived with a small addition: a rather moldy mess in one of the jars. I pointed it out and brought it back. The waiter seemed almost surprised. They only replaced the jar I had shown, then calmly placed the other two on a new plate. No apology, no gesture, not even a hint of embarrassment. It was clear that here, tourists are just passing through and that respect for the customer and hygiene standards is obviously optional. We won't be back. At least the view was lovely… and we weren't sick the next day.

18/12/2025: The brunch is always excellent, both the savory and sweet options. The teas and other drinks are always delicious and perfectly paired with the food – truly impressive! Furthermore, the staff and atmosphere are incredibly friendly; you're always guaranteed a great time.

02/05/2026: We had a wonderful time. Excellent cuisine from the amuse-bouche to the dessert, with great value for money. Very warm welcome. Great atmosphere. I highly recommend this establishment. We didn't understand a negative review from a woman (who entered the restaurant very aggressively) when she hadn't even eaten there. She was unhappy because the owner was parked near her car, which she claimed was preventing her from leaving her parking space. Her car was parked facing the wrong way, while the owner was parked in front of his garage. He was therefore within his rights. This woman burst into the restaurant during service, rude and angry, and on top of that, she has the nerve to leave a negative review for Les Embruns restaurant when she has never even eaten there. I find this attitude contemptuous and despicable.

02/05/2026: The restaurant was recommended, but we didn't get a chance to try it. No regrets! The owner's attitude leaves much to be desired. Just to remind you, parking in front of his garage (official regulations clearly state it's not allowed, but there's some leniency) doesn't give him the right to block other cars that are properly parked. No apology. He made us wait to clearly demonstrate his annoyance. Bad faith. A very regrettable attitude!

26/04/2026: We had lunch at this restaurant, which had a lovely setting, and the waiter was delightful. However, the food and wine were mediocre; the dishes were probably from the day before and were served cold. The quality wasn't there, especially considering the price. The dishes weren't very clean, which is a shame since they're the first thing you see on the table. Thanks again to the waiter, who was very professional and friendly.

19/04/2026: A pleasant surprise. Upon arrival, we found a calm and welcoming atmosphere with 2000s background music. We loved the sharing menu concept, which satisfied our hungry stomachs. A warm welcome and friendly waiter. We highly recommend it! 👍

28/04/2026: The welcome was excellent, the food was delicious and plentiful, and the waiter was very attentive and conscientious. I appreciated that they accepted a friend's dog. The only negative point was that I received an unfair parking ticket because I was supposedly parked illegally in front of the restaurant. I won't be coming back by car.
