17/08/2026: One star for the two waitresses who seemed to be doing their best. The owner and the restaurant are to be avoided. It's been a long time since I've eaten so badly. A mix of cold and hot mussels, some undercooked (I hope they were fresh), and most of them tiny. The fries were extremely salty and also undercooked. The owner made a mistake with my wine order, my wife's drink, and then, when the bill arrived, my daughter's drink was incorrectly placed. She claimed to accept meal vouchers, but after two failed attempts, she finally refused (as her display case clearly showed when I left). She constantly interrupted with a condescending, "Yes, I know, yes, I know" tone, which was incredibly unpleasant.

18/07/2026: The wait was excessive. Over 2.5 hours in the restaurant. The dish was too salty, which was a shame. The price wasn't very high, which somewhat balances it out. I suspect some things are prepared on-site, others aren't.

21/07/2026: A must-stop at this establishment when traveling to the coast. The oysters are fresh and plentiful, and the mussels, when in season, are plump and juicy. The warm welcome from the young staff is a bonus. Make a stop here.

19/07/2026: Bought mussels today, nothing to eat in the shell, very small mussels, abnormally small size, it's a disgrace to sell this kind of product, you're only here to take money from tourists!! Be careful because some people might send inspectors....

22/07/2026: Exceptional! We had an incredible meal; the welcome, the kindness of the staff, and the food were a pure delight! We were with our four children, who also thoroughly enjoyed themselves from beginning to end. The savory crepes are very original and delicious. I highly recommend it. Bravo and thank you for this magical evening on the interior terrace.

11/08/2026: We were very disappointed with our experience at La Cuillère en Bois. We had an aperitif, followed by a two-course meal with two glasses of wine. When my main course arrived, I mentioned that I couldn't eat the gratin because I'm allergic to eggs. I completely understand that a change isn't always possible, and I would have gladly accepted more salad on the side. However, a few minutes later, we noticed that fries were being served to several tables around us, including one with three adults. When my partner mentioned this when paying, we were told that the fries were "only for children." What particularly disappointed us wasn't the lack of fries, but the feeling of not being treated the same as the other customers. A simple offer of an alternative or a little extra salad would have been more than enough. We paid our bill without making a fuss, but we wanted to express our disappointment. For us, the welcome and attention given to customers are just as important as what's on the plate. In response to your comment, I think there is indeed a misunderstanding. My rating has absolutely nothing to do with the price of the menu, which was very reasonable, nor with the quality of the food. It was good, and my husband thoroughly enjoyed it. What disappointed me most was the way our meal was served. We didn't have a choice of vegetables, and when I noticed that there was egg in the vegetables I was served, which I'm allergic to, not only was nothing offered as a replacement, but I was simply told that there was nothing else available. Then, we noticed that all the tables around us were having fries. When we asked why, we were told that the fries were only for children, even though there were people of all ages at the other tables, except ours. We didn't make a scene while we were there. We left quietly and simply shared our experience afterward. So no, it's not the €16.90 price tag that justifies my rating, and I'm not questioning the quality of your food at all. It's the combination of these little things and, above all, the feeling of not being treated like the other customers. I just find it a shame that you summarize my review as "making a mountain out of a molehill," when I simply took the time to honestly explain our experience.

Service was warm and attentive, and the overall price‑to‑quality ratio was very good. Despite its central location, I was the only guest on this Thursday evening — surprising given the high quality. Perhaps the absence of a written menu makes it harder for potential visitors to know what to expect. Based on my experience, however, I strongly recommend embracing the culinary adventure and letting the team guide you toward something fitting from their small but carefully curated selection.

17/07/2026: A very good bakery; the baguette is excellent. Plus, the baker offers two levels of doneness: lightly baked and well-done—what more could you ask for? The pastries are good, and the crêpes are excellent. I'm less familiar with the cakes and pastries, although I think I like the Madame Écureuil. The service is top-notch, efficient, and friendly, even when there's a queue on Sundays. A regular customer.

13/07/2026: So I suggest you compare the prices of your pastries and viennoiseries with other bakeries, because if the quality were at least above average, one could understand a little. But €3.40 for an éclair that's abnormally small? €2.70 for a pain aux raisins? Neither the quality nor the location of your establishment justifies such prices!

06/08/2026: Rude people at the reception bar, not even a minimum effort to get a table when clearly there was space. No effort at all to speak any other language beyond French. Avoid this at all cost!
