03/05/2026: A very nice establishment with a lovely green setting. The renovation was done with great taste. We ate there one evening with our three children. The children's menu offered either chicken and mashed potatoes or fish and mashed potatoes. We opted for appetizer platters rather than starters, which were more suitable for children. The peach was very good. There was just enough sauce to allow each flavor to shine through. However, it lacked a little something extra to elevate the dish. The desserts were very enjoyable (vanilla crunch and carrot cake). Regarding the service, it would have been nice to have small plates for the appetizers to share. The atmosphere was relaxed. In conclusion, good value for money in a very beautiful setting.

01/05/2026: Beautiful location, comfortable room, however the meal was very mediocre, a clear lack of professionalism. The service and welcome were average, nothing more. A shame!

28/04/2026: Not great. My southwest salad had tomatoes and onions (not mentioned on the menu), and my lemon crepe barely tasted of lemon. I won't be going back. I gave it two stars because the service was good.

02/02/2026: I often come to La Cidrière for lunch; the food is homemade and good. The daily menu is a reasonable €14. Perfect for someone who wants a quick lunch. The service is fast, the manager is super friendly, and he'll find you a table even if it's full. A must-try crêperie... Plus, they have a wide selection of crêpes.

21/05/2026: A must-visit bar and brasserie in Vitré, right in the heart of the old town on the train station square, a 5-minute walk from the castle. A great day trip idea, easily accessible by TER train from Laval or Rennes.

16/05/2026: Good food. But the service was too slow. The waitress left in the middle of our meal (1:30 pm) to eat herself. We were waiting for her to order our dessert. But after 45 minutes, with our main course plates still uncleared, we went to the counter to ask for our bill. And no tip was given! We left disappointed despite our good meal, but without having had dessert or coffee elsewhere...

04/11/2025: Didn't stay at the hotel, only ate at the restaurant. The welcome and service were perfect. Simple, home-style cooking. Good value for money. Lunch menu at €15.50. 👍

06/05/2026: New ownership: consequently, an unpleasant welcome, a very long wait, and very greasy crepes. Very disappointed. We used to come here regularly; from now on, we'll go somewhere else next door.

12/12/2025: A truly unpleasant waiter. You get the feeling you're bothering him; he speaks rudely and answers curtly, which isn't normal for someone who's supposed to be welcoming customers. With each visit, I hope things will be better, but it keeps happening, especially with older people. I feel it's important to mention this because it really spoils the experience. However, the service remains very fast and the galettes taste delicious.

26/04/2026: Great hotel, we slept well, and the breakfast was very good. The only downside was that the hot water took a very long time to arrive and the water pressure was low.

08/02/2026: It's not easy to find a working-class restaurant open on Saturday at lunchtime. The meal is simple but good, a decent starter buffet, a choice of three main courses and three desserts for 18 euros per person. It's a shame the quarter-liter of wine is extra. Good overall.

The madame (I don’t know if she is a waitress or the owner) was really nice and super fast after we told her that we don’t have enough time cause need to go to the airport. Food is really good even my Italian husband said so. And the place is nice and clean. Baby friendly, but they don’t have a changing table.

10/12/2025: Excellent meal. The fish soup and Le Palis salad were delicious. I wanted something light for dinner, but the glowing description of the house-smoked filet mignon won me over! I have absolutely no regrets. The filet mignon was sliced ​​into incredibly generous portions, served with Breton andouille sausage, walnuts (not rancid, unlike those served elsewhere...), and confit gizzards in a subtle blend bursting with flavor, enhanced with a touch of raspberry vinegar. What more could you ask for? And all for a very reasonable price! Top-notch. I'll be back.

04/04/2026: Excellent, generous kebab. An incredible amount of meat. Deserves its title as the best kebab in Ille-et-Vilaine.

03/05/2026: I didn't know there were still restaurants serving frozen fries, stale bread mixed with those little packets of sauce—very hygienic, bravo! The flank steak with shallots had the equivalent of a teaspoon of shallots; honestly, change careers, you're not cut out for this.

25/04/2026: Avoid at all costs!!! The Nordic galette was far too salty; we told them it was inedible. They offered us an alternative. Friendly and helpful. BUT, the owner came over to tell us she was throwing away €20, and that next time we shouldn't order it OR TELL HER TO WASH THE SMOKED SALMON TO DESALINE IT. It turns out the salmon was very poor quality. What a shame!!!! Not quite ready for the Petit Futé guide 😉
