01/01/2026: A restaurant that loves to please its customers: a must-try!

28/12/2025: I do not recommend this place; the reviews no longer reflect reality. The music was too loud; we asked them to turn the volume down. The service was very unprofessional, and nothing reassuring about our arrival. The beef was presented to us as exceptional. We asked for it rare, but the piece served was charred on the surface and overcooked inside. The meat tasted like water... This beef was served with (homemade) fries. The container was only two-thirds full, and the fries were probably already cooked and reheated. The fries at the bottom of the container were broken and very dark in color. The salad served on the plate was wilted and crispy. This dish cost €32. We were guests, and out of respect for the person being honored at this dinner, we didn't make any comments. It goes without saying that we didn't order dessert. Everyone in our party was disappointed. I do not recommend this restaurant. We still paid 60 euros per person for drinks and a charcuterie board to share.

28/09/2025: Coming from Haute Savoie and passing through Rennes, I couldn't leave without tasting a succulent galette! A sweet tooth isn't a bad thing. Well, thank you to the team at La Marelle because my guilty pleasure was granted: succulent! And what's more, the service was very fast, pleasant, and very accessible. This excellent welcome doesn't lie since a large part of the customers that evening were regulars, which is a clear demonstration of this establishment's commitment to quality. Don't change a thing, you're very comfortable.

24/09/2025: Crêperie located right next to my Generali agency, very good crêpes and galettes at reasonable prices. I recommend it.

The food is excellent, with exceptional ingredients. The sweetbreads were simply amazing, perfectly cooked, as were the scallops—thank you! In short, go without hesitation! A top-notch team! 👌

12/12/2024: We went to eat at this creperie yesterday and we are delighted. We discovered tasty, original cuisine there, prepared with fresh, seasonal products. We were able to chat with the chef who passed on her passion to us by sharing with us two or three recipes which immediately made us want to come back and do it again very soon. A special mention to the always smiling waitress who comes to inquire about our well-being throughout the meal. The decoration is very nice and all the premises are very clean. In a word: a good time to be repeated quickly.

07/12/2025: A very pleasant experience. The food and dishes are very well prepared and of excellent quality. The service is efficient and friendly. A calm and pleasant atmosphere, perfect for a romantic meal for two or a quiet meal with a larger group. We highly recommend this establishment; go without hesitation.

09/10/2025: Friendly and welcoming restaurant. We had a good time and the meal was very good value for money. The cooked products are fresh and everything is homemade. We recommend it.

02/07/2025: Avoid. Poor value for money. I ordered a salad for 21 euros, a lot of salad, two frozen, undercooked, inedible langoustines, and canned mangoes. My husband's mussels were dry, probably reheated in the oven, and overcooked, as were the fries. The menu is too varied to offer quality cuisine.

26/06/2025: Efficient and friendly service, the dishes were very good and the quantities more than sufficient, a small downside all the same, we could have appreciated a small gesture when the waiter spilled my bowl of cider on my trousers while clearing away, even if it was just to come and help me wipe the table and the floor.

09/08/2024: Super good, simple and effective pancakes and pancakes. The dough is well balanced in texture and taste. Good products. Impeccable service, nothing to complain about! Very warm welcome. Small, quiet place, away from the noise, worth the detour compared to the large terraces along the ramparts. The prices are completely reasonable. We came back three evenings in a row because we enjoyed it so much :)

25/01/2026: I miss the old Piccadilly, the Rennes institution I knew until the 2010s. I've come back 20 years later and I'm shocked that they let the old brasserie, its woodwork, its furniture, be ruined. I thought it was a listed building. The Picca, which used to be a meeting place for celebrities, students, and bourgeois patrons enjoying Sunday lunch, has become a "trendy" spot where I had a very unpleasant experience with my hot chocolate. The welcome was borderline rude, the service rushed and almost impolite. I'm not stuck in the past, but it would have been possible to evolve the Picca with the times, something it had managed to do for decades. I won't be going back, wanting to preserve as much as possible the memory of my student days in cafés with my friends. I'm not worried about this place, packed with people who clearly enjoy themselves there.

24/01/2026: Disappointed with the dishes, the lamb shank and the beef cheek were disappointing. The lamb should have been confit, and the beef cheek should have been tender. Fortunately, the service was up to the standard of the establishment. Perhaps we'll improve on our next visit. This is a legendary place for us, one we've known for 50 years.
