22/02/2026: A short trip to Brittany. We booked a table with our dog, who was very welcome too. We received a very warm welcome, the service was impeccable, and the meal... a real treat!!! We thoroughly enjoyed it 😋 The staff were a true ray of sunshine. We've already planned to return to your beautiful region and will definitely be back to eat there. Thank you again for your kindness and for offering us a taste of the infused rum as a digestif 😉🙏 We highly recommend this restaurant; it's a must-try.

16/03/2026: This was our second visit to this establishment, where the staff is always so pleasant, helpful, and easy to chat with and joke around with. However, regarding the food, I did notice a few minor issues. The quality of some ingredients seemed inconsistent with the prices, and there were a few oversights, such as bits of shell in the deviled eggs or a slightly wilted salad. The table we were given was also very close to other customers' tables. This proximity almost made us feel like we were sharing dinner with them, which made the experience less comfortable and ultimately led me to cut my evening short. Despite these areas for improvement, I would like to sincerely thank the staff, including the kitchen team, as their hard work and kindness deserve to be highlighted. I hope that some aspects can be adjusted to make the experience even better in the future.

15/03/2026: Everything was perfect, from the service to the plated food. Having come as a family for a birthday, I was amazed by the service, the presentation, and the sumptuous taste of the food, prepared with care and delicacy.

14/03/2026: The photos of major and minor celebrities on the walls suggest that if you are not in such a category then perhaps you shouldn’t be there. From the moment we walked in the staff made us feel that we had done something wrong. Walk in and wait for someone to greet us? Glare at us like we’ve interrupted their day. Seated at the wrong table? Chastise the guests for the error. The food was disappointing. A shadow of what makes traditional brasserie fare the iconic cuisine it can be. The veal kidneys were served in a heavy sauce that reminded me of British food from the 1970s. A lava cake that one could have at a mediocre chain in the USA? S’il vous plait, non. And the atmosphere? Meh. A wobbly table suggested they are not paying attention to details. And the poor waiter handling more covers than is reasonable didn’t help matters. We were told La Chope is a mandatory stop in Rennes. Maybe for BHL but not for a person who wants a good dining experience.

29/11/2025: We go there regularly on Saturday lunchtimes when we're in Rennes. Never disappointed. The open-faced sandwiches and soups are very good. The welcome, decor, and atmosphere are always perfect. Craft beers and cider on tap. Very fast service.

28/02/2026: Not very satisfied with the drive-through service. The product was marked as unavailable in my order, but when I went to the store, it was on the shelf. Furthermore, they offered me a replacement product, which I refused, and when I got home, I noticed it was still on my receipt. Well, the person didn't ask me to come back; they said they would process the refund directly to my loyalty card. I'll avoid the drive-through service from now on.

17/02/2026: After several observations about the promotions, which are likely intentional, that's it, we won't be back. We spend all our time checking and verifying our receipts.

20/02/2026: Frankly, I don't understand the bitter people who criticize this restaurant negatively. The staff is very pleasant, the food is good and you can tell it's homemade, the wait isn't excessive. If some of you want something quick, drive a few kilometers and order from McDonald's and stop being unpleasant.
