Good quality ingredients, well-prepared, good juice, beautifully presented, and the portions were very generous. The staff was friendly and efficient. 21/02/2026: Fantastic experience at the Auberge des Montauds! We stayed in the family room, which was perfect for a family of four. We also really enjoyed the evening meal with the half-board option. The parking lot was cleared of snow in the morning, but given the location, you should be prepared with appropriate equipment depending on the forecast (winter tires, snow socks, etc.). It must be a lovely experience in the summer too. We'll be back! 🤗

21/02/2026: Very good restaurant, pleasant staff. Unfortunately, we were seated very close to a table where a child kept throwing their cutlery on the wooden floor, making an impressive racket. The parents, on the other hand, seemed to find it amusing. The manager, probably very busy, didn't notice these troublemakers. I'm beginning to understand why people want restaurants without children. Or without parents who aren't up to the task.

29/12/2025: I gave it one star for service even though the waiter was very friendly and seemed to be doing a good job, apologizing several times. Nothing against him personally, but the wait was far too long. My wife's starter was acceptable, but between her starter and our main courses, it took a good half hour, for a total wait of 1 hour and 20 minutes for the main courses. I didn't really get to enjoy my lamb shank, which was a shame. A complimentary coffee or digestif would have been appreciated.

19/10/2025: I rarely post negative reviews, but I'm allowing myself this comment. Very disappointed with this restaurant, which calls itself gourmet. We had the chef's menu (€69/person), which left something to be desired. The main course, a stewed beef with vegetables (carrots and magnoc), had a taste that left something to be desired, so salty and full of fat, the rest of the dishes were absolutely not worthy of the term gourmet, in our opinion. The dessert had overcooked peaches, the frog soup was nothing special. Communal meal, stressful service with a single, overworked server, forced interactions, no pleasure. The restaurant suffered from the moment the second course was brought and throughout. The recommended wine (or rather, imposed without asking for tastes or anything else) was not tasted, sparkling, and not at all worth the price we learned at the cash register. For a restaurant that organizes wine tasting evenings, I think that's the height of absurdity. The music played throughout the meal was too loud, not suited to the atmosphere. I have the same memory of my high school cafeteria. I don't recommend it.

13/02/2026: We had an exquisite evening for our romantic dinner. The cuisine was surprising and refined, the service incredible, all in a magnificent setting. Bravo to the whole team! A gem in Vienne. Go for it!

11/02/2026: Second visit after 3 years. This time with our 11-year-old daughter. The setting, the service, and the presentation were remarkable. We loved the appetizers but were less impressed with the two main courses. Our daughter received a bonus, thank you again to the team! The trout was nothing special, the beef cheek a little better, but despite the good idea of ​​the sabayon and the jus glaze, it was a bit cloying. The dessert was also good. We had a pleasant time, but it's a shame the chef didn't come out of the kitchen; there were only two tables left.
