28/01/2026: A flawless experience, equally highly rated for both its hotel and restaurant. A beautiful, typical Sologne inn, which has existed for centuries with a pronounced respect for authenticity and impeccable taste. Very well preserved, with lovely rooms and attentive service. As for the cuisine, the chef is dazzling. The dishes are divine, featuring typical Sologne products, and the head waiter is incredibly professional. We were captivated by this establishment and will definitely remember it for a future trip to the heart of this incredible region.

18/03/2026: We had a fantastic weekend at the Relais des Landes, which we booked exclusively for a large family birthday celebration. Everything was perfect, and the team clearly has experience managing this type of event. The hotel is charming, the rooms are spacious, and the dinner was delicious. Our guests echoed this sentiment throughout the weekend. A huge thank you to Sophie and Stéphane!

11/01/2026: We chose the Relais des Landes for its ideal location near the Loire Valley châteaux, for the image conveyed by its website—promising a relaxing setting—and for the advertised New Year's Eve dinner by a fireplace, in the romantic style typical of the region. The welcome was excellent, courteous, and professional, and we thanked the reception staff for it. However, when asked if our stay had gone well, we felt it necessary to be honest. Having regularly stayed in 4-star hotels, we must say that this establishment falls short of their standard and services, and that the value for money is, as it stands, very disappointing. The room was a real disappointment: aging in every way, with a damaged bed frame, a basic bedside table (a simple plank set into the wall), a very old television, and dated, incoherent decor—even a picture containing… the room's wallpaper. The bathroom was small and lacked the amenities and attention to detail expected in a hotel of this category (old hairdryer, etc.). The housekeeping also left much to be desired: visible dust (dust bunnies under the bed), a dusty remote control, and after the first night, a barely made bed—the duvet simply pulled up—which is unacceptable for a 4-star hotel. Without having pre-booked dinner for December 31st, we would have left the hotel before even settling in, and we seriously considered it. However, the staff were kind enough to place our table near the fireplace for New Year's Eve, which convinced us to stay. We had initially planned to spend the afternoon of the 31st at the hotel to relax and enjoy the facilities, but given the room, we decided against the offered massage and opted to visit the spa at another establishment. Upon our return, we witnessed a public and offensive reprimand directed at a member of the reception staff by someone in charge of preparing the dinner seating plan—a particularly inappropriate scene in front of the other guests. Regarding the New Year's Eve dinner: while the setting was undeniably pleasant, the food itself fell short of expectations, lacking finesse. Fortunately, the service staff were very attentive and greatly contributed to making the experience more enjoyable. Breakfast also proved to be below the expected standard for a 4-star hotel. Without reiterating the arguments already extensively raised in the establishment's responses to other reviews (local cheeses, etc.), it is nonetheless difficult to justify refilling a jar of jam that was already empty the day before. In short, a very disappointing stay—especially for a honeymoon—with a price-quality ratio that clearly did not meet expectations. We would nevertheless like to warmly thank the gentleman at reception for his availability and responsiveness, the young woman who served us at dinner on the 31st, as well as the gentleman—presumably the owner—for his professionalism during service and his commendable knowledge of the wines offered. However, a thorough reassessment seems necessary for the future of this establishment, and we believe that carefully listening to customer feedback—particularly from those familiar with upscale hotels—would be beneficial.

28/02/2026: The welcome was very friendly, and the royal couscous truly lives up to its name. It's absolutely delicious, I'll be back.

27/01/2026: At first it was good, reasonably priced. Lately, they've gotten too big for their boots, forcing wine on the tables and treating customers like cash cows. They're inflating their prices more and more. Avoid them!

07/01/2026: A very pleasant surprise, this restaurant/bar doesn't look like much from the outside. Set menus with two starters and two main courses (I didn't try the desserts) or à la carte options are available. The gentleman waits tables, the lady is in the kitchen, the chicken tikka masala is homemade, and the sauce and accompanying vegetables are delicious. I'll definitely be back.

31/10/2025: Full meal (appetizer buffet, main course, and dessert) for 18 euros. Review/Meal: very poor. Poor value for money. Basic appetizer buffet, the only dish of the day (pulled confit pork loin) was far too salty, and the slice of apple pie had an aftertaste of being refrigerated.

30/12/2025: 14/3/24 still so enthusiastic. I diaper there once a week. A pleasure to go there for the taste and kindness😘 ------ From year to year my comment remains the same. Thank you for being here ! Patricia Small coffees or hot chocolate almost daily. Sometimes the dish of the day is always excellent. But ABOVE ALL, great kindness from the owners in an original, clean and warm decor. A small corner reserved for the sale of cigarettes, good wines and some regional products. And the icing on the cake: a half-shaded, half-sunny terrace at the top of the Denis Papin steps overlooking the roofs of the old town, and in the background the castle, in the historic district of Blois. Good choice of varied beers to enjoy on the terrace in fine weather. Patricia and Patrice.

02/10/2025: Interesting vantage point, under a spreading tree. Jovial, tolerant staff who were happy to indulge my speaking French. Excellent local IPA with an IBU of 65! No comment on the food as we did not eat there, but plenty of others did.
