06/05/2026: A warm and friendly welcome. A beautiful dining room overlooking a charming, flower-filled garden (with a free-roaming rooster and hen). The room is tastefully decorated and cozy; you feel right at home. The dishes are generous and delicious, featuring traditional cuisine. The chef made a thoughtful gesture with dessert; we were celebrating our wedding anniversary. We will be back.

11/12/2025: We stayed here for one night in August and were really disappointed. The grounds look nice at first, but the noise from the main road is terrible at night – with the windows open it’s almost impossible to sleep. Our room (a “cottage”) was very uncomfortable and clearly in need of serious renovation; it felt like staying in an old relative’s house that hasn’t been updated in decades. The kitchen was also a letdown: the food was bland, nothing tasted fresh, and overall it felt more like a cheap canteen than a hotel restaurant. On top of that, the staff were surprisingly unfriendly and unhelpful, which only added to the negative impression. For a stay that cost us over 200 euros for just one night, the value for money was awful. Between the noisy location, uncomfortable room, poor food and rude service, this place is absolutely not worth the price they charge.

22/05/2026: We've known La Grange aux Oies for over 30 years. We used to have lunch there on the day of the Souvigny Goose Fair in Sologne. This year, it was a disaster for both of us! Aside from the fact that the fair itself is a complete mess, we were extremely disappointed by the restaurant. Upon arrival (two couples, a two-year-old child, and a small Yorkie), we were "greeted" by a young woman who must have asked the owner (I assume) where to sit, as there were no high chairs or booster seats for the child. Once seated (it was noon), we waited half an hour without anyone paying any attention to us, not even giving us a menu! So we gathered our things to leave, and no one stopped us to apologize, even though tables that arrived after us were being served! The worst part is that the front door was locked with a latch, so there's a real risk of panic in case of an emergency! Even customer safety isn't guaranteed! Was it the child or the dog that caused the problem? Or was it just extremely poor organization? We even saw a couple who, barely seated, were moved to another table very rudely... STRONGLY DISCOURAGED!

01/05/2026: A real gem! La Grange aux Oies in Sologne is an absolutely charming place, with an authentic decor that immediately creates a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Since the arrival of the new chef and owner, the quality has clearly improved: refined, flavorful cuisine full of character, showcasing excellent ingredients. Each dish is prepared with care and passion, and it shows in every bite. A perfect place to spend a wonderful time, whether with family or friends. I highly recommend it!

04/04/2026: Superb experience, candlelit dinner (everything was excellent 👌🏻), with a small concert and then a peaceful night in a caravan, a change of scenery and rejuvenating, I recommend it!

31/03/2026: The menu lived up to its promise: "our grandmothers' cooking"—and that's exactly what it was. Traditional cuisine, very well executed, beautifully presented and generous portions, all made with as many local products as possible. The only slight drawback was the cooking of the foie gras.

08/04/2026: Avoid at all costs! Only the photo of the hotel taken from the front is accurate; all the others are completely outdated. It's a scam, and there's no pool, and the Wi-Fi doesn't work. The ground-floor room was cold and damp, heated by an old, noisy air conditioner—we had to turn it off at night in late October! There were huge dust bunnies under the bed, with a box for insects? What kind? I'd rather not know... dust everywhere. The bathroom had no heating, the pipes were starting to rust, and the shower was filthy. This place isn't even worthy of being called a hotel room. The dining room was dark with plastic-covered tables, and the food was definitely not 3-star. I absolutely do not recommend this hotel.

06/04/2026: A warm welcome awaits you upon arrival, like coming home to a holiday cottage. The generous and varied breakfast makes you want to linger. The location is ideal for fully enjoying the Beauval Zoo. The rooms are spotless, comfortable, and well-heated, and the secure parking provides true peace of mind. I highly recommend this place.

17/04/2026: It's really great: a buffet of appetizers, a choice of three main courses, a cheese buffet, and a buffet of delicious homemade desserts; wine and coffee included. The service was efficient, quick, and friendly. Well done, and keep it up!

16/05/2026: Excellent one-night stay at this very well-located hotel, just an 8-minute walk from Blois Castle. Lydia and Eliane are very pleasant and welcoming, and the service was excellent. The room was quiet, the bedding was comfortable, and the room and hotel were clean. We will gladly return. Couple with 1 child.

16/12/2025: Overall, it was okay. No complaints about the food, simple but effective. Only downside: be careful with the drink prices 🫣 I didn't check, naively thinking they were standard prices €5.40 for a basic 25cl draft white beer 😭🤐

12/12/2025: Really disappointed. The fish smelled too much like it had been frozen and was too dry. The tagliatelle was barely warm, probably reheated but not enough. The desserts were barely defrosted or at least had been left in the fridge for far too long. In short, too expensive for the quality. Avoid this place.

03/07/2025: Restaurant with continuous service until 2:30 p.m. at lunchtime. We were seated directly. The food is excellent and the atmosphere is friendly. The team is very kind and we were served quickly.

26/05/2025: Very disappointing. I made the mistake of asking for the sauce ordered with a burger and fries forgotten during service, finally announced as an extra (not specified when ordering) unheard of not even having ONE free sauce to accompany overcooked frozen fries. (Menu = additional sauce 1€ = if we asked for a 2nd sauce not 1€ from the first) So we refused to take the paid sauce, following that no one came back to see us for the rest of the meal, no one came to clear our plates even though the waiters had seen that we had finished, no offer of coffee or dessert. When it came to paying the bill no one asked if everything had gone well. A cruel lack of professionalism and low-end products, we will certainly not return

24/05/2026: A warm welcome from a young woman. The staircase is old-fashioned. The carpet in the room is also old-fashioned. The shutter handle was broken. The bathroom is outdated. The bedding is adequate. Breakfast: flies on the cheese, the cake still in its supermarket packaging, and poorly organized... Very noisy, especially children playing on the stairs in the evening, and the staff said nothing...

20/05/2026: A fantastic new team: welcoming, smiling, and with great advice about our destination. Quiet rooms with very comfortable beds, despite the road. A superb breakfast with a wide selection. There's also a very comprehensive buffet with hot dishes available. Excellent value for money. We will definitely be back 🙂. Thank you so much.

21/05/2026: No price displayed, they charge whatever they think they can get away with! Accessibility for people with reduced mobility is nonexistent! Very noisy. TV channel updates not done! Poor renovation, inaccessible utility closet! Slippery bathtub. Dampness on the windows in the morning. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!

20/05/2026: Very disappointed. Four nights with no cleaning during our stay, no towel changes. The bathroom was unsanitary with moldy, poorly finished grout and holes in the wall. We had the same sheets for four nights, and the rooms weren't cleaned. The hangers were unusable, and there were cobwebs on the windows. In the evenings, we couldn't stay in the lounge; they close at 10 pm. The reception staff were rather curt in their response to our requests. One positive point was the breakfast and the person who ran it. I do not recommend this place.

16/02/2026: We had a wonderful time at this inn for Valentine's Day. We ate like kings, the food was excellent quality, and the staff were very pleasant. I highly recommend it.

15/12/2025: No menu or prices were given verbally: a three-course meal (starter, main, and dessert) for around €40, and a two-course meal (starter or dessert and main) for around €30! The food was of mediocre quality, and the five beef fillets were cooked incorrectly! The foie gras was poorly seasoned and served almost ice-cold! The chocolate mousse was made of powder and sold for €14 in a ramekin meant for crème brûlée! The roasted figs were practically fighting each other on a plate for €17! The wine list was very limited, and there were no soft drinks (Coke, tea, or fruit juice). And to top it all off, the bill was exorbitant (no individual menu options) for €540, including a €42 bottle of wine for six people.
