02/08/2026: There's no real savoir-vivre at Woll. It's a shame, really… a sad memory. I've hardly ever written a negative review in my life. But what we experienced at our son's christening left us speechless. We had made a reservation for about 25 people months in advance. The reservation was confirmed, the menu discussed – everything seemed organized. When we arrived on the day of the christening, we discovered that we had simply been forgotten. For any restaurant visit, that would be annoying enough. For your own child's christening, a once-in-a-lifetime moment, it's unforgivable. Instead of taking responsibility, they frantically improvised. We were seated at a long, makeshift table without a tablecloth and throughout our entire visit felt unwelcome, like we were disrupting their business. Our family celebration didn't feel like a planned event, but rather like a problem the restaurant was trying to get rid of. The low point came when our two-year-old son simply wanted to eat a tomato. Instead of simply fulfilling a small child's request, they seriously argued about the fact that tomatoes weren't on the menu and they didn't know how much to charge for them. In the end, we were even charged €2 for a single tomato. It was never about the money. It was about the lack of warmth and the poor service. Good food alone isn't enough. Anyone who accepts family celebrations takes on responsibility for a special day in their guests' lives. Woll completely failed in this responsibility. Unfortunately, we will remember our son's christening not only for the beautiful occasion itself, but also for a forgotten reservation, poor organization, and the feeling of not being welcome as guests. This might work for a spontaneous restaurant visit. But based on our experience, I would absolutely not recommend this restaurant for a christening, communion, wedding, or any other family celebration.

24/07/2026: For over 50 years and still consistently excellent. It doesn't have to be the frog legs. The artichoke is also fantastic. The vinaigrette and the mayo. Everything is good. Very French, even though it's right on the border. Great surroundings and view.

05/06/2026: An excellent address at the Auberge du Lion d’Or, just a stone's throw from Ars-sur-Moselle. Authentic, generous, and convivial French cuisine, featuring excellent local and high-quality produce. You can feel that the national gastronomic heritage is truly showcased here, both on the plate and in the atmosphere. The prices are very reasonable considering the quality offered. You can immediately tell that this is a restaurant run by true enthusiasts. I highly recommend this restaurant.

23/07/2026: We had dinner for two at Beef&Co today. Even though we hadn't made a reservation, we were seated immediately. The service was friendly and the food was delicious. We enjoyed a sirloin steak and crème brûlée for €28 per person. Beef&Co is definitely highly recommended!

07/07/2026: I was very disappointed with my experience. Upon eating my dessert (vanilla entremet), I discovered it contained mold. This is an unacceptable hygiene issue that should never have occurred in a restaurant. The most shocking thing was the staff's reaction: no compensation was offered, and I received no apology. Given such a serious situation, I would have expected at least a sincere apology and appropriate support. This incident raises serious questions about product quality control and adherence to hygiene standards. I unfortunately cannot recommend this establishment.

21/06/2026: The service was pleasant and the staff friendly, but the wait was quite long. The dishes were decent, without being exceptional, but the prices seemed a bit high. It was also a shame about the octopus, which was overcooked and therefore lacked tenderness. Overall, a satisfactory experience, but with a few areas for improvement.

08/06/2026: We came to eat with friends for a birthday. Between a hair in one of our dishes and a burnt, totally inedible pizza, it was a bit of a letdown (they remade it, but we still had to wait ages while everyone else was almost finished...). It was cold anyway, so we had no choice but to eat. There was no compensation for this, no apology, just a waiter telling me, "Here's your dish now with twice as many hairs!" Luckily, the waitresses were able to spot it, lol! Otherwise, the atmosphere was great, even though we should have been in the smaller room next door as originally planned!

28/05/2026: We found this place for a quick, no-frills dinner. Good value. The burgers were simple but fresh and tasty. Excellent fries. The mushroom veal cutlet was very good. Friendly service. Much better than we expected.

10/07/2026: A wonderful experience, lovely staff, a family atmosphere, excellent food, and a peaceful location. The rooms are charming, and I had very good nights' sleep. I highly recommend it.

27/06/2026: Excellent experience as usual (this is our fourth visit). The waiters at the restaurant were incredibly attentive to our requests, even turning on the fan to keep us from overheating during the heatwave. The reception staff were also very friendly. The food was fantastic too! My family and I highly recommend it.

For my wife's grandmother's birthday on Sunday, April 19th at noon, the atmosphere was fantastic, the welcome was impeccable, and the food was excellent (thanks to the chef!) and the service was superb. My family and I loved it, and I will definitely be back. Bravo!

02/03/2026: This is a restaurant! Homemade products, a rare find, very rare indeed, quality meat – you can immediately tell this isn't some cheap, local bargain! In short, if you want to eat well at a reasonable price, you have to go there!

01/03/2026: Friendly and professional staff. The buffet options are very good. The restaurant also offers à la carte service. Plenty of choice to suit all tastes.

30/03/2026: We're so glad we ignored the negative reviews before booking. We spent four nights there exploring the surrounding area. The initial welcome was a little cold, but within ten minutes, we were in good spirits. The rooms aren't huge, but they were perfectly adequate. Our dog was very welcome (at no extra charge). And the restaurant... We don't usually eat at the hotel every night to try out the local restaurants, but we enjoyed excellent food there all four evenings. Very reasonable prices. Excellent and friendly service. With a few degrees warmer, it would have been lovely to be able to enjoy the terrace. So, no regrets about this booking. We'd gladly return with friends.
