30/07/2026: Having eaten there regularly, we can say that we are never disappointed at the Winstub. Whether it's the food or the service, everything is top-notch.

30/07/2026: First visit with my wife to Winstub Geric. Pleasant service from two young women in the kitchen; no wait for a quiche with raw vegetables and roasted potatoes, and a "Grandma's Stew" (grilled cervelas sausage, raw vegetables, and roasted potatoes). Both dishes were delicious. The cheesecake was also very good. Thank you, we will be back. Nice atmosphere.

01/09/2026: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We've now eaten at Marcel's Simbacher Mühle twice – once on a Friday evening and most recently at the Caribbean Night last Saturday – and were absolutely thrilled both times! The Caribbean Night was truly special: a beautiful, festive setting, great music, and a wonderful atmosphere. The Colombian and Dominican food was outstanding, prepared with so much love. My personal highlight was definitely the plantain lasagna – absolutely amazing! 🤩 The value for money is also excellent. You can tell that Marcel puts his heart and soul into what he does and wants to give his guests a special evening. Thank you so much, dear Marcel, for the two wonderful evenings and your fantastic hospitality! We felt very comfortable and are already looking forward to our next visit. Highly recommended – we'll definitely be back! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

02/08/2026: A very nice bakery with always welcoming staff and a refined presentation of the products. The only downside is the endless queue at certain times, just to buy bread. They should think of those who come specifically for bread and set up a separate checkout for it. I leave when it gets too crowded.

09/08/2026: A perfect stay where everything is just right: If you're looking for a relaxing, peaceful place with excellent, generous portions of fresh, locally sourced food and a warm, friendly, and welcoming atmosphere, come to Notre Dame de Bonne Fontaine! We had an excellent experience. The entire establishment was spotless. The food was excellent, with very generous portions... We especially appreciated the unlimited fries and spaetzle in addition to the vegetables included with our main course. Spa, hammam, and swimming pool are available. Beautiful hikes are possible on foot or by bicycle. These little complimentary services are so appreciated and rarely found in hotels: unlimited fresh water at the bar for refilling our water bottles, unlimited fries and spaetzle, a shared refrigerator, microwave, and self-service coffee maker and kettle during the bar's closing hours at night, a 24-hour swimming pool, and the use of a garage for our bicycles... But above all, we must highlight the kindness, professionalism, helpfulness, and humor of the managers who go out of their way to make their guests feel welcome! Congratulations to the whole team, we'll be back without hesitation!

05/07/2026: Large, professional restaurant. Friendly service and truly excellent French food, from snails to frog legs, special veal dishes, steak, and schnitzel. Inexpensive by German standards. We felt very comfortable. A gem in France.

21/06/2026: We visited the Michelin-starred restaurant Auberge Saint Walfrid. Given its excellent reviews, our expectations were understandably high. Upon arrival, we were seated in a beautiful dining room and looked forward to beginning our culinary journey with a nine-course tasting menu. As the restaurant is located in France, we were naturally greeted in French. Unfortunately, we do not speak French, so we politely asked whether communication in English or German would be possible, as these languages were also indicated on the restaurant’s website. Given the restaurant’s proximity to the German border, we felt this was a reasonable request. One would expect that, after such a request, communication throughout the evening would continue in one of these languages. Unfortunately, this was not the case. Time and again, the staff reverted to speaking French, making it difficult for us to fully understand the explanations and enjoy the experience. The sommelier was another disappointment. When we asked whether a wine pairing was available with the menu, he seemed not to understand the request and responded with several unclear wine suggestions, without explaining which wines would accompany which dishes. The result felt rather disorganized and confusing. Furthermore, we were left with the strong impression that we were not considered particularly interesting or valued guests. The food itself—which was truly outstanding—was often placed in front of us with little or no explanation. There was a noticeable lack of attention and engagement from the staff, and even a smile seemed difficult to find. In summary, the service was deeply disappointing and, in our opinion, not worthy of a Michelin-starred establishment. The cuisine, however, was exceptional and deserves every compliment.

04/06/2026: It is rare these days to find a really comfortable and unique place to stay. And indeed this beautiful Auberge that I found by chance, as it was half way on my route to the UK, is just that. I have returned 3 times and it remains a memorable experience. It has exquisite rooms, pleasant staff and wonderful food and wine. There is a lovely pool too. You wouldn’t know if you passed by in a car what treats lay inside for a weary traveller. 31/08/2026: We used the Auberge de la Klauss for our wedding on August 29, 2026. Everything was incredible thanks to them. They were fantastic from beginning to end. We communicated throughout the wedding planning process. The staff was incredibly kind, and the food was excellent. All our guests thoroughly enjoyed the meal—a meal worthy of a Michelin-starred restaurant. The waitresses took exceptional care of us and were available until the very end of the evening. We couldn't have chosen better. We are very grateful for their professionalism and accessibility. Thank you again for everything. We recommend them 100,000 percent!
