The staff is very friendly, helpful, attentive and gives good advice for visiting the surrounding area. You can chat without any problem: super nice! 31/08/2024: It was the first time we came to eat, and we were very disappointed. A welcome that was deplorable, no smile, we almost had the impression of being a nuisance.. As soon as we were seated, the waitress came directly to see us to see if we wanted to drink something; we didn't have a menu to look at what the restaurant offered as an aperitif. My partner took a breaded escalope, he insisted when ordering that he did not want vegetables or sauce. The waitress replied without diplomacy that it is written on the menu that there is only vegetables and fries and no sauce! I myself had a pizza which was honestly not great, the dough had no taste, I felt like I was eating cardboard. We waited for the waitress to come and clear up and offer us the dessert menu, unfortunately the wait was too long so we preferred to leave. During checkout, the waitress took the liberty of addressing us on familiar terms, I found that a little inappropriate, especially since before wanting to address customers on familiar terms, they would first have to smile at them. The waitresses seem completely overwhelmed, I think there is a lot of lack of organization in this restaurant. Waitresses who are not made for this profession to my taste, no waitress asked us if the meal had gone well if we enjoyed it or if everything was okay during the meal. the table that was right next to us was just as disappointed the waitress who got the wrong wine etc etc..

Not great veal head, undrinkable red wine in the glass, cordon bleu cooked in expired oil bath and tough veal. In short, the last 3 meals were not great. I do not recommend and I will not come back again.

09/07/2025: I took advantage of the dampfnüdel day. The restaurant is really special, stuck in the 70s. But what food, goddamn it!! Bean soup with or without cream (to be specified when ordering) and above all dampfnüdel to feed a regiment. And when you say you're not going to have dessert, the owner tells you that it's already on its way, included in the package. Go there on the 2nd Wednesday of the month (after reservation, otherwise you won't get your 4 to 6 dampfnüdel per person...)! Price-wise: €66 for three with drink and coffee. To try for the dampfnüdel!!!

27/04/2025: An… original experience! At first glance, the Auberge de la Frohmuhl doesn't necessarily make you want to linger... but my boyfriend and I chose to try the adventure. Upon entering, the very “time travel” atmosphere surprised us a lot: a dark space near the bar, a few silent people around a candle… very special! The restaurant is huge but almost empty, with only a few customers before us. The waitress, not very smiling but efficient, took our order. The prices are quite high for what is offered (a vegetable omelette around €20…). As for the meal, I had a maître d’hôtel butter steak with vegetables, and my friend had a Margherita pizza. The pizza was not very visually appetizing and even lacked basil. We ate “well”, but nothing more, and we didn’t hang around. An experience to live… but not necessarily to repeat for us. Thanks nevertheless to the team.
