18/01/2026: They say they're open on Saturdays. I came this Saturday the 17th at 12:30 pm: closed, and no note on the door. Disappointed.

03/01/2026: Excellent restaurant, very clean including the restrooms, super friendly staff 👍 Top-notch food and reasonable prices, I highly recommend it ❤️ It's a shame, however, that they were out of items on the menu like beef bourguignon, chicken escalope 🐔, and ribeye steak. We ordered, and after ordering, we were told they were no longer available. It's a shame they should have put up a sign at the entrance saying these items were out of stock or added it to the menu. But apart from that, nothing to report, everything was fine and good

28/02/2026: Impeccable service, great atmosphere 🤩 The decor is dated, worn, and lacks light. The food is basic; they just need to revisit the classics and be a little faster (within reason).

07/04/2026: On dit jamais deux sans trois ! C'est ce que j'ai réalisé aujourd'hui, en me rendant pour le lundi de Pâques dans cet établissement. Globalement décu par le service hostile et déplacé de la propriétaire. Je commande une bière française Meteor. On me présente une bière pils dans un verre allemand, Bitburger tout ce que je hais. Servi avec un amuse bouche soit disant au fromage blanc aux herbes, euh drôle de goût ! Le plat mijoté une bouchée à la reine, à été servi 45 mn après la commande, euh, c'est normal. Même si le chef est bon cuisinier, le service de son épouse est froid, et sélectif ! Alors oui, je n'habite plus dans ce secteur. Mais je pensais avoir trouvé une bonne table... Il en est rien. Je ne m'y rendrai plus. Et le pompon, le nettoyage de printemps,ne semble pas être de mise dans cet établissement, vu les projections de plats sur les murs, et les moutons de poussière sur les appliques, bien en vue des clients. They are seniors just like me, but clearly they don't have the same concept of customer service and hygiene.

25/01/2026: Good and affordable food, very friendly staff, and welcoming owners. The tarte flambée, crème brûlée, and cakes are unbeatable. Everything else is really great too. The adjoining campsite is quite basic, but fantastic. The sanitary facilities are well-maintained and clean. Everything is just right. Camping as it should be. I always enjoy coming back. The terrace, interior, and toilets have been beautifully renovated.

01/11/2025: Unfortunately, frog legs are on the menu. I avoid restaurants that serve animals killed in cruel ways.

20/03/2026: The bottle of water wasn't opened in front of us… when they said it wasn't cold and lacked bubbles, we thought we were asking too much. The quality of the food wasn't worth the price… expensive for what you get. Quite disappointed.

03/04/2026: We had a very pleasant stay at this hotel. We opted for the half-board option. The welcome was warm, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The meals were generous and very well prepared. The room was spacious and the bed comfortable. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a quiet, comfortable hotel with a family atmosphere.

24/01/2026: Everything was perfect. The food was fantastic, prepared with love. The sauce for the duck was excellent. It was also beautifully presented – presentation matters. We opted for the set menu. There was a wide selection of many delicious, typical French dishes. The tables and chairs in the second room were just like you'd find in a simple, good French country restaurant. The front area, furnished like an American bistro, was a bit jarring. We will definitely go there again.

23/03/2026: Longtime customers We moved 4 years ago, and while passing through our region, we returned to this restaurant we love. And now there's a change of ownership, decor, and waiters. Everything is cold, even the welcome. We sat down, and my 17-year-old son, who is 1.80 meters tall, had his wine glass taken away immediately without being asked. The entire service was slow and impersonal. Luckily, the chef and the menu haven't changed; they're still just as good. Dessert arrived, and my son, as always, chose a rum baba, but it wasn't to the waitress's (owner's?) liking it. She made it clear that it wasn't normal for him to choose that dessert. The waiter poured the rum and left with the bottle. This same waitress came back and asked us where the bottle was because it's supposed to stay on the table! We told her the waiter had taken it, and she insisted he hadn't. We pointed out that we hadn't stolen it, so she went to check the cupboard to see if the bottle was there. When we left, she asked if everything was alright, we explained what we hadn't liked, and she denied everything... our son seemed to be 13 years old, which he wasn't at all... and all of this was perfectly normal. So, despite the good food, we won't be back. We missed the previous owners.

20/03/2026: I went there for lunch today for my grandpa's 80th birthday! 🎂 They sang "Happy Birthday" to him! It was absolutely delicious. We had vol-au-vents, and they filled them with the sauce—it's a fantastic concept! We'd already been there last June. I highly recommend it! A beautiful restaurant, and so nicely decorated for Christmas! 🎅🏼🎄

21/02/2026: We had a reservation at 6:30 PM and were on time. All the other tables that arrived after us were served before us. We had to wait until 8:00 PM for frog legs to arrive, and their backs and legs were tough and dried out, having clearly been fried in the oven. The fries were skinless, with no potato inside—the driest I've ever tasted, probably also forgotten in the oven. The white wine wasn't chilled enough. There was no bill or details provided (no menu, no checks or credit cards, cash only...). We will never return and strongly advise against going there.

31/03/2026: If I could give it -5, I would. At first, it was great, the owner was super nice, until we asked for a bottle of red wine. He went around, and then, magically, another bottle appeared on the table. We thought, "Cool, a nice gesture since we didn't ask for it," and then, surprise, when it came time to pay, we were charged for two bottles…

30/03/2026: If you're looking for a frozen pizza, this is the place to be… The pizza had no flavor, the crust was hard and clearly mass-produced. For €17, you can find much better quality elsewhere. Not to mention the waiter's change of attitude when we paid and decided not to tip… My advice: avoid this place.

03/04/2026: What can I say! We're leaving a review just an hour after leaving. That's how impressed we were. First, the place isn't kitschy (as some other reviews suggest); it perfectly suits its name, "l'estaminet" (a term referring to the taverns, inns, and brasseries typical of Northern France, which often feature antique utensils and rustic, traditional decor). Second, the food... absolutely delicious! We shared a forest salad between the three of us, followed by tartiflette, Mont d'Or cheese, and a rump steak with cream and green peppercorn sauce. We tasted each other's dishes, and it was a resounding success. Moreover, this isn't fancy haute cuisine with just a few peas and a splash of sauce... The portions are generous, and we almost didn't have room for dessert, which in our case was a rum baba, a Dame Blanche (vanilla ice cream with chocolate sauce), and a gourmet tea. In short, we ate and drank very well, and our stomachs were nice and full. Thirdly, and with special mention! The atmosphere. Thank you, thank you, thank you to the team! You are all wonderful. It was a memorable evening. And thank you to Nathalie for joining us at our table :D

30/03/2026: I went there one evening with friends and it was a truly fantastic experience! The atmosphere was great, warm and friendly. The pizzas were excellent, with a real originality that sets them apart from the ordinary. I highly recommend it!
