15/08/2024: The dishes were excellent, the service impeccable.

09/08/2024: Ordinary cuisine, the glass of wine is served to you in the cubis behind a bar, the blue cheese sauce leaves something to be desired, the entrecôte looks like a steak, the choice of liqueur for the kir is strict (only blackcurrant), a large box empty on a pallet serves as decoration behind the window and the dust is not cleaned on the window sills (dust and dead insects), the service leaves something to be desired... All for the modest sum of more than €75 for 2 people (main course, dessert and aperitif) this type of so-called semi-gastronomic restaurant is a shame or we don't have the same requirements at all.

20/08/2024: Very good restaurant. For years, the wood fire has been an address to recommend. I have never been disappointed in the more than 15 years I have been coming here.

15/09/2024: Nous voulions manger au bord de ce beau lac de Chambon, mais le grand restaurant n'ayant pas de bons avis, surtout côté accueil, nous hésitions. De passage la veille, nous avions repéré un peu plus loin cet établissement qui bénéficiait de la même vue, avec une carte et des prix sensiblement identiques. Nous sommes accueillis par un employé fort sympathique et avec le sens de l'humour. Vite installés sur la terrasse surélevée, et tout aussi rapidement informés avec les cartes présentées. Un p'tit apéro sympa pour commencer, spritz Virgin sans alcool et un très bon verre de vin Impromptu. Ensuite nous nous sommes régalés avec une omelette aux girolles et une assiette gigantesque pour une très copieuse truffade, accompagné d'un excellent vin rouge Pic St Loup, très bien conseillé pour le serveur. En dessert un très bon tiramisu pour clore ce bon repas pour un total de 63€, ce qui est raisonnable pour la qualité des produits servis dans la bonne humeur avec cette très belle vue sur le lac

06/09/2024: Top room Very kind, pleasant and smiling staff Very good meal and breakfast The only downside for the bathroom that I could say is that the shower is missing a door, despite its large size and its wall, water gets everywhere. 04/09/2024: Very large room, clean, very large bathroom, very clean. In the rooms, coffee and tea with kettle available. Nightstand shelf large enough to place a device for sleep apnea which is not negligible given the number of hotels I visited during my vacation and it didn't have all this option. Just a small downside my card did not work to open the room but the problem was quickly resolved by very competent staff. Very good breakfast. Very pleasant and competent staff. Reasonable price compared to some other hotel chains.

17/08/2024: A nice little restaurant, a very nice waitress, there were 5 of us at the table, we ate the excellent pancakes as well as the carbon tagliatelle, bolo the children loved it and above all we ate everything, that says it all. Thanks to the chef and the waitress. Have a nice day

30/07/2024: Very good family hotel where we spent an excellent night on the road to vacation. Far from the hotel chains that flourish in industrial zones or the fast food restaurants that serve in 3 minutes, this boutique hotel is managed by a family and you have to take the time to savor the moment. Ideally located, you can visit the city center on foot without any problem.

22/08/2024: Une excellente adresse à Clermont, très surprenant de trouver une brasserie de cette qualité dans un centre commercial. Un endroit accueillant et chaleureux par l’ensemble du personnel. Mais surtout des plats généreux et gourmands avec une spécialité la truffade à ne pas rater.

11/09/2024: Un menu restreint à l’essentiel et d’une très grande originalité et qualité. C’est la maison des saveurs et des textures surprenantes. On ne peut que conseiller l’effiloché de bœuf ou l’échine confite. La mousse au chocolat est une VRAIE mousse au chocolat. Délicieux

13/09/2024: What a beautiful establishment. Local cuisine, a competent team and an atypical setting. If you are looking for a setting in picturesque Auvergne, this is it!

31/08/2024: Very bad experience. Never before seen in terms of hygiene. Green salad served unwashed, with dust on the salad leaves and several aphids roaming around. Charming. In addition, the ends of the salad leaves were blackened with humidity, which shows that it was far from being unhealthy. To top it off, we had to try twice to be listened to when we reported the problem. The first time we informed the restaurant staff, asking to receive a washed salad instead... then we took our plate and a few minutes later, they came back to us... bringing us a plate. It was the same unwashed salad inside, with still so many insects swarming around it. Amazing ! For the sake of other customers, I hope that the restaurant staff will be more vigilant regarding hygiene and health issues in the future.

27/08/2024: Déçu ..je ne conseille pas car le cadre ne vaut rien …la nourriture digne de la cafétéria étudiante …la note pas en rapport …seul point positif la dame qui accueil avec le sourir …pour conclure même le café est indigeste Désolé mais je déconseille vivement

23/08/2024: A disaster. Run away, you fools!!!!! Really, go somewhere else, allergens are not noted, drinks are served dirty and already opened. When we think that at McDonald's, we would have eaten less fat, there is a big problem. There are many good restaurants in Ambert, but not this one. Don't make the same mistake as us, go somewhere else
