17/01/2026: We arrived as a couple, and the waiter just looked at us without saying a word. Neither did we 😂 After ten seconds, I finally blurted out, "Can we eat?" He pointed to a table. We sat down, but the table was sticky. I gestured to him to ask if we could move, but no luck. So we took another table next door… also sticky. Anyway, I ordered. I chose a pig's stomach soup. Five minutes later, he brought me a large bowl of tripe soup, explaining that they were out of stomach. The soup was very good, piping hot, and very spicy—perfect for a 2°C (36°F) day. In short: terrible service, good food but ridiculously expensive, with a simple bowl of rice costing €4.

The Peking duck and stir-fried noodles are definitely worth trying 😋. Fast service, discreet and efficient staff 👍. 19/03/2026: A very warm welcome and excellent pizza. A small glass of infused rum was offered at the end of the meal, which was also very good. I was just passing through the area, but I will gladly return as soon as possible. Thank you to the whole team.

15/12/2025: Comptoir Cité enjoys an ideal location just steps from the Cité Internationale, making it convenient for lunch during a conference. The portions are decent, but the pulled pork in the Texas burger was a bit dry and harder to chew than one would expect from pulled pork. A practical choice, but with room for improvement in this regard.

30/03/2026: We were a little disappointed. We came to this local establishment based on the photos of the dishes and the reviews. Has there been a change of ownership? A change of chef? The dishes were basic. We didn't get the "bistronomic" style dishes we saw in the photos. Furthermore, the placemats were broken and old, whereas in the photos they were very nice, charcoal gray. The decor in the photos is also more modern... What happened in just a few months? The gentlemen, however, were pleasant and we still enjoyed our meal 😉

28/03/2026: I'm a regular at this restaurant. But since they removed the famous frog legs from the menu—they used to be the heart and soul of the place—I don't recognize it anymore. The service is slow, the waiters are unpleasant, the chef doesn't seem to care, and the food isn't what it used to be. Where I would have recommended this restaurant just a few months ago, today I'd rather never go back.

04/03/2026: Here, it's very casual, no frills or fuss. I ate at the bar and it didn't bother me at all. The quarter-liter of red wine was decent, and the waitress was welcoming, energetic, and very friendly. The food is home-style: simple, generous, and really good dishes. It's also worth noting that it was almost full at lunchtime, and despite that, the service was very quick. A complete lunch for €19.20 with a quarter-liter of wine and a coffee... A simple and efficient place, just the way we like them.

06/02/2026: When I made the reservation, they asked if there would be frogs' legs. I replied that I thought there would be three, plus a children's menu. On the day, my partner didn't want them, but we didn't have a choice; in any case, there wasn't a menu to choose anything else. For an aperitif, they offered me a glass of white wine, but then they were out. The children's menu consisted of minced steak with either pasta or potato gratin, so there wasn't really a choice. The minced steak was rock hard, so it was inedible for a three-year-old. Luckily, the frogs' legs and the potato gratin were quite good. For dessert, it depends on what's left from the day before, but there's no children's dessert, so we got her a waffle. It was topped with an extremely sweet spread that was a complete flop. The dining room is rather small, so it's noisy when there's a large table. The service wasn't great, in short, we don't really plan on coming back.

25/03/2026: The only truly authentic little bar in Lyon's market halls. You're always warmly welcomed, whether you're just there for a drink, a snack, or a full meal. The prices are incredibly reasonable for the location, and the products served are sourced fresh from local artisans in the surrounding shops. Cheese, sausages, and more—everything you need for a great time, served with a friendly and professional approach! Definitely worth a try.

10/03/2026: We made a reservation by phone, but no table was ready when we arrived. The staff had to move other people to seat us. After waiting for over an hour, we had only received our drinks, and no one had come to take our food order. So we decided to pay for our drinks and leave. When I pointed out that the service was far too slow, the only response was that they were short-staffed, without even an apology. I won't be returning.

10/11/2025: A must-visit in the region. The welcome, service, and quality of the meal are perfect. The rooms are a real bonus, allowing you to take your time exploring this magnificent region. Book without hesitation!

03/11/2025: We read the reviews before going and were disappointed. The risotto was a bit runny and tasteless, the seafood stew was a beautiful dish but bland and flavorless. The sea bream tartare and Caesar salad were decent. The fig tart was just okay.

24/02/2026: Very good, generous portions made with high-quality ingredients. Friendly staff. The restaurant could use a refresh and some price reductions. Perfect for a family meal. We have absolutely no regrets; we had a wonderful time.
