14/04/2026: A truly old-fashioned restaurant, where you don't take yourself too seriously, and where you eat very well for a reasonable price. We had a table reserved for seven, and we didn't finish all our dishes, yet we still ate very well 😊 A real bavette steak with shallots, not a tiny piece of meat, real shallots, not some industrial sauce. The owner (Yves?) and his sense of humor, the lovely waitress, €25 for the meal—we'll be back! Finally, they accept dogs. If they're friendly, you can let them off the leash—great for once.

13/04/2026: For some reason, as we arrived (at lunchtime - before 15) we were told, in broken English, that we cannot order anything to eat. No reason given, nothing. No information about it was given anywhere. Well, I was hoping to try good Lyonese food at theirs, but it turns out they didn't want my money. Edit: turns out they end lunchtime at 14:30 here and close their kitchens. Ok, I see, still it would have merited some explanation other than slightly aggressive "You can't eat."...

02/11/2025: Exceptional! Everything is fresh and local, cooked with passion and inventiveness. It's a delight every time. The beautiful presentation is simply a symphony of vegetarian flavors, and yet I'm not a vegetarian! My food allergy is never a problem for Nelly, who is lovely and always goes out of her way to make sure I enjoy my meal. As an added bonus, the music playing is a treat for the ears 👂 Thank you 🤩

04/03/2026: I do not recommend this restaurant after our visit. The dining area is very cramped: the upstairs has low ceilings, poor ventilation, is extremely noisy, and quickly becomes stuffy. The children's table was placed right next to the restroom door, which is neither pleasant nor appropriate. The stairs leading upstairs are steep and slippery, truly dangerous for young children. As for the food, it was decent but uninspired, far from compensating for the overall discomfort. Nothing truly memorable or that would make us want to return. The service was the most disappointing aspect. The staff was clearly unfriendly: the cook refused to heat our baby's food, citing the lack of a microwave and time. The waiter made a mistake with our aperitif order, and his attitude was not particularly pleasant throughout the meal. For a family outing, we expected a minimum of attention and consideration, which was not the case. In short, between the unsuitable setting, the heat, the noise, the mediocre quality of the food, and the unwelcoming service, our experience was disappointing from beginning to end. I do not recommend this establishment.

22/02/2026: A wonderful Valentine's Day experience, a very good homemade meal. We discovered them during the Fête de la Musique and were immediately won over.

05/03/2026: An interesting experience at a traditional Lyonnais bistro that didn't serve what is precisely the hallmark of such a dish: a simple Lyonnaise salad. I regret that the waitstaff didn't even have the presence of mind, or the desire to please a customer, to ask the kitchen if it was possible. Perhaps it would have been too much of a challenge to gather these simple ingredients (each of which is on the menu) to try and adhere to what defines our culinary traditions and, let's face it, our pride. As a native of Lyon, I had to settle for half a Saint-Marcellin cheese, which was very good nonetheless. In short, aiming to be a high-end bistro is all well and good; remembering your roots is even better. If we need reminding, Le Petit Paumé (another Lyonnais institution) provides a fine definition of what we have the right to expect from a traditional Lyonnais bistro.

22/04/2026: You can tell the food is being prepared assembly-line style, without care or passion. The tuna steak in my daily special was overcooked, honestly barely edible, and the mashed potatoes served alongside it had neither the taste nor the texture of homemade. The Picon beer didn't taste like Picon either, undoubtedly due to a lack of generosity. Don't expect anything from this brasserie…

17/02/2026: Great brasserie with welcoming menu. Mainly regulars as opposed to tourists from the Part Dieu station. Very busy with ‘work/team lunch breaks’ so obviously a sign that the food is good. Can be very busy so best to book. Only 4 stars for atmosphere as there is not a lot of space between tables which makes the place a bit cramped. But the service and the food are worth it!

25/01/2026: I really like this bar because of its friendly waiters and relaxed atmosphere, however, 16 euros for a very small cheese board as shown in the photo seems very risky to me.

14/12/2025: The vegetarian platter looked really tempting, but ultimately the seasoning wasn't great—it was too salty and the flavors clashed. The baked potatoes weren't cooked enough, and the melted cheese was tasteless. I was disappointed with the meal, which I'd been looking forward to after reading the reviews. The atmosphere and staff were very friendly, though. We still had a good evening, though.
