06/09/2026: A very, very good restaurant, I highly recommend it.

04/09/2026: Fantastic from the moment I entered the establishment, with a warm welcome from the owner and his team. I'd been wanting to come for a long time and try the "oreiller de la meunière" (a type of millet porridge) – a real treat! It's definitely a starter to share, as ordering a main course afterward isn't possible. I knew this restaurant from the previous owner, but it's a continuation of the same style, with the new owner's touch. Thank you again, and thank you for being there.

11/09/2026: Great little bistro that prides itself on offering truly delicious homemade food in a warm and inviting setting. The terrace is perfect for lunch or an evening drink (pedestrian street). Friendly staff, highly recommended!

Exceptional products, a breathtaking view. One small drawback: if you only order one dish à la carte, the portion size is similar to the set menu (the portion size should be increased for à la carte orders). 17/07/2026: The atmosphere is lovely, the food is high quality, and the staff are friendly. We were very satisfied with our meal.

12/08/2026: We waited 45 minutes only to end up with a completely burnt ravioli gratin and a salmon steak that was far from cooked and, moreover, dangerous given that we were with three young children. The dishes were sent back (no apology from the waiter) and reprepared, this time properly, suggesting a lack of desire to serve decent food. On the plus side, the waiter gave us a discount on drinks (which were complimentary) and offered us desserts to take away. However, overall, a far from memorable experience.

17/08/2026: A truly wonderful spot in the 7th arrondissement! The brasserie has been completely renovated with great taste and style, and it also boasts a lovely outdoor terrace. The food is absolutely delicious; the chef is excellent, the ingredients are top-notch, and the service is always warm and welcoming. A beautiful establishment with excellent value for money: the prices are more than reasonable for the quality offered. I highly recommend it.

22/07/2026: After nine years, I returned to this institution… The chef has changed, but the owner, Giles, remains at his post. What can I say except that I thoroughly enjoyed the €25 frog leg menu: starter, frog legs with fries, a quarter-liter of wine, and a coffee. One wishes there were many more establishments of this caliber.

31/08/2026: Great atmosphere at Le Fer à Cheval! Top-notch products! A varied wine list! The owner and staff are attentive and super friendly! A must-try in Lyon.

30/08/2026: A very good time at Le Fer à Cheval in a group of about fifteen people. Platters of quality local products accompanied by well-selected wines.

13/09/2026: €6.50 for a 25cl IPA + mint water is a bit pricey. The service was friendly but not amazing; they offered an appetizer platter or asked if we were staying for dinner... Not great, which is a shame.

03/09/2026: A pleasant setting, not exceptional inside, but it's fine. The main draw is the huge terrace on the square, with both sun and shade. The prices are quite reasonable for the Presqu'île, and the menu isn't too extensive, just the way I like it. Finally, a special mention goes to the young and friendly service team, familiar but not overly so, which makes you feel right at home. A second special mention for this establishment where you're also well received if you're a dog: absolutely dog-friendly!

26/07/2026: Went for brunch and the food was genuinely great – would come back for that alone. Coffee was fine, nothing special, just a solid cup. Unfortunately the service brought the experience down: our waitress was curt and seemed annoyed by basic requests... Nothing dramatic, just an unwelcoming vibe that took the shine off an otherwise good meal. Food quality is there; hoping it was an off day for the staff.
