30/07/2026: A terrible experience! There was only one signature dish left at the beginning of the week… it was for me, but the lobster arrived with a strong smell of ammonia, inedible!! My plate was taken away without an apology! The waiters continued their frantic, rushed service with no real attention! Unacceptable for a Michelin-starred restaurant! They offered me two glasses of white wine I had as an aperitif! A very poor choice for our 20th wedding anniversary!

29/07/2026: What can I say... an excellent meal and a first-class welcome. All the reinterpretations were perfect... I even ate black pudding! And the view over Lyon is breathtaking. I'll definitely be back.

24/03/2026: As an occasional customer of this neighborhood restaurant, I was very disappointed today. The wait between courses was far too long. I had to keep asking the waitress for my main course. She was deep in conversation with an Italian tourist who had just sat down next to me and completely ignored me. My dish finally arrived along with the one meant for the Italian, even though it had arrived more than half an hour after mine. She served me with an ironic, "I hadn't forgotten you." What can I say? She continued chatting with this Milanese customer, giving him a tour of Lyon, pacing back and forth while completely ignoring me. I was hoping to order dessert, but my gestures, both with my eyes and my hand, went unanswered. Disheartened, I got up to pay at the register. I didn't hesitate to express my disappointment with the service to the second waitress (who was much more charming, by the way). Le patron toujours fidèle à lui-même est bien sympathique, mais vraisemblablement ne se doute pas qu'en salle c'est une vraie cacophonie. Bref franchement même si vous n'êtes pas contraint par le temps, vous allez devoir prendre votre mal en patience. Ou alors faites-vous passer pour un transalpin, ça ira beaucoup plus vite. À bon entendeur...

17/07/2026: A delicious tasting menu for under €50! Excellent service! Exceptional ingredients and recipes. A winning combination of flavors in an idyllic setting. I highly recommend it for a romantic evening or a team-building event. I hope to have the opportunity to return!

09/07/2026: The food isn't good. I first went to Paris three years ago, and I wanted to give the one in Lyon a chance, but they didn't live up to that expectation.

08/07/2026: Steak salad for almost €19… there was practically nothing in it, the little bit of meat was tough… avoid it! It's shameful to offer salads at this price!

16/07/2026: The meal was very good. It would have been nice to have a little something to accompany the aperitif. The starter was served much too early. We were still drinking our aperitifs.

30/07/2026: Excellent food. Excellent service. It's a shame to be disturbed for a good part of the meal by people who come to lunch with young children who are crying and won't sit still.

30/07/2026: Pleasant service, beautiful establishment, and cozy conservatory. But the food was very disappointing. Many purée-like substances and the octopus was very tough, in other words: not fresh. For a restaurant of this level, we found it to be a huge letdown. After the meal, 3 out of 5 had stomach problems the night before.

30/06/2026: The setting was lovely and the welcome was excellent. We had lunch there and the dishes served were superb, perfectly complementing the wines recommended by the owner, who has a wonderful talent for pairing food and wine. A big thank you for the warm welcome!

18/06/2026: Passing through Lyon, we discovered this welcoming place. A shaded terrace. An air-conditioned dining room. The owner is equally welcoming. We enjoyed an excellent meal, great value for money, with a glass of wine. We'll be back.

09/07/2026: Lovely waiting staff. Starters: - the pork was some of the best we’ve ever had and the cucumber salad was a great pairing - the soup was delicious, light and fragrant Mains: - fish was perfectly cooked, the sauce was subtle and loving - pigeon was very tasty, with a beautiful cherry sauce and al dente yellow courgettes, well-paired also. Desserts: - The compote was incredible, the use of various herbs (I don’t want to give it away!) created a unique flavour profile which we’ve never experienced before, truly unique, must try! - The rhubarb & ice cream was tangy and bold, strong on the acidic, fresh notes, truly delicious.

16/07/2026: Perfect. The selection is rather limited, but everything is made with fresh, local ingredients. For example, eggs mayonnaise, which I generally find "good," turned out to be "excellent" at this restaurant. The service was quick and, above all, friendly and welcoming.

23/06/2026: A warm welcome, a menu with two choices, featuring fresh, local, and seasonal produce. Refined, simple, healthy, flavorful, and authentic cuisine, with excellent traditional bread that reflects the character of the place and its owners. Even the dessert is lower in sugar to preserve the natural taste of the ingredients. Well done. I highly recommend it.

21/06/2026: Family lunch. A very pleasant experience. We received a very warm welcome. Our order was taken efficiently. The staff were skilled and efficient. The food was very good. And the tour of Lyon and the surrounding area was perfect. I recommend the Hermes restaurant boat.

23/05/2026: The service was abysmal. We didn't encounter a single friendly person, from the moment we were greeted on the boat, where they didn't even respond to a greeting, to the table assignment where I apparently had to remember my own number. The meal itself wasn't any better in terms of atmosphere. You get the feeling you're intruding. Surprising in a service industry. Clearly, it's not a pleasant experience working on the Hermès. I don't usually write scathing reviews, but this time my patience ran out. I won't even mention the food. It was adequate, but nothing special. However, you know you're not going on a riverboat cruise, but rather to a high-end restaurant. The cruise on the Rhône and Saône rivers is pleasant.

26/07/2026: We had a wonderful time at this authentic Lyonnais bistro. From the moment we arrived, the welcome was exceptionally warm and attentive; we immediately felt at home. As for the food, everything was generous and delicious, in the purest Lyonnais tradition: quality ingredients, hearty portions, and true culinary expertise. You can tell the restaurant is passionate about its classic dishes and executes them exceptionally well. The service was friendly and efficient, never rushing us. We wholeheartedly recommend this place to anyone seeking an authentic Lyonnais experience.

31/03/2026: An OK option if you can’t find anywhere else to have lunch in Vieux Lyon. Service was good and staff were nice but the food isn’t great for what you pay. There’s better options in a gastronomical paradise like Lyon.
